This episode we caught up with Victus V. McDaniel II and how he came through the traditional route (and how he fell in love with Communications from an early age) all the way up to Manual. We discussed what teachers and mentors had an impact on his life growing up and what motivated him to pursue UK in undergrad and what's driving him now to pursue a Master's in Human Resources at UofL after working professionally at Humana for a few years. In between we also discuss Victus's goals in the future and how he plans to pay it forward to the next generation. Also don't miss Plead The Fifth on this one, there are some answers you don't want to miss! *Bonus* I'm convinced definitely is now officially my favorite word after listening to this episode.
In this episode we touch base with Brian Hobbs otherwise known in school as Kevin Hart, Nate Robinson or whoever comes to mind when you hear his name. We caught up with B on a cold day but it was nothing short of warm comradarie and laughter as we discussed his upbringing in Louisville to his time playing with the West End Yellowjackets and how all of those things brought him to Manual. From there we analyzed not only his athletic career but his success off the field and how his knowledge of Spanish would help him travel the globe ultimately ending up in México for an extended period of time. We then talk about life at Centre College and how that motivated him to eventually pursue a role that he currently holds as GM of Planet Fitness. Also don't miss B's take on the best dances at Manual Hint: If these were still around today, the Ying Yang twins would have made an appearance to one eventually!
First episode of the ‘Catching Up with Rams' podcast make sure you tune in for this one as we have Kassie Jones (soon to be Reynolds) joining us to talk about everything from how she followed in her family tradition to Manual. We even get into her time at Murray State and what it was like to be a Racer and how she found her way to the position she currently holds at UPS. Don't miss out on the first episode (excuse the technical kinks) and make sure to subscribe for more to come!
