But I need more than just a division title; with the talent on this roster, from Baker Mayfield and Chris Godwin to Tristan Wirfs, Bucky Irving, Emeka Egbuka, Vita Vea, Antoine Winfield Jr., Kalijah Cancey and Rueben Bain Jr., I believe the Bucs are capable of making noise in January. For me, the formula is simple: win the NFC South, get into the playoffs and win a playoff game. Could this team accomplish more? Absolutely. But based on where this franchise was last season, if the final whistle blows and Tampa Bay has won the division and a playoff game, I'd call that a GREAT season. Where do you set the bar?

Vita Vea wants a trade, teams are calling, and the Buccaneers are reportedly standing firm — but I'm telling you right now, NO DRAFT COMPENSATION would make me comfortable trading him. DJ and Kelcey continue their August NFL division breakdown series with the NFC South — every team picked game by game, a futures bet for each squad, and two sets of final standings that couldn't disagree more. DJ has the Falcons winning the division at 9-8. Kelcey has the Buccaneers at 11-6. One of them is very right and one of them is going to hear about it all season. The Saints are everyone's preseason darlings and there's real reason for it — Travis Etienne, Jordan Tyson, a functional offensive line, and Tyler Shuck's legs. The concern is Cam Jordan is gone and that defense doesn't always travel. DJ bets Jordan Tyson over 750 receiving yards. Kelcey is on Tyler Shuck over 350 rushing yards. The Falcons are the most interesting team in the division on paper. Kyle Pitts' touchdown total has gone up in every single one of his five seasons — literally 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Drake London put up 119 yards per game with Penix and is looking at 1,100+ with consistency. Kevin Stefanski made David Njoku a Pro Bowler. The only question is which left-handed quarterback is out there and for how long. Then there's Kelcey's hottest take of the episode: Baker Mayfield is a top 10 quarterback. Bucs-Jets Joint Practice Turns ChaoticRick Stroud recaps a joint practice between the Buccaneers and Jets that devolved into roughly six bench-clearing fights. The flashpoint: linebacker Luke Goedeke, who had been jawing with Jets rookie first-rounder David Bailey, appeared to take a cheap shot from another player and responded by ripping a helmet off an opponent's head and hurling it 15-20 yards downfield — an act Stroud says would draw an ejection and 15-yard penalty in a real game. Stroud expresses frustration that officials on hand didn't remove him, and that head coach Todd Bowles said he didn't personally witness the incident. Stroud draws a contrast to the Tony Dungy era, recalling how Dungy once sent Hardy Nickerson off the practice field for fighting. Despite the chaos, both hosts agree the underlying competitiveness was a positive sign, and note that team leaders eventually stepped in to calm things down.
