The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 3: 5:05pm- Dr. EJ Antoni—Chief Economist at The Heritage Foundation—joins The Rich Zeoli Show. Is Jerome Powell's Federal Reserve still on track to lower interest rates later this month? Plus, the University of Louisville has introduced a new course using Taylor Swift to teach students economics. 5:30pm- Complete Embarrassment: Far-left Katie Porter—the front runner to become the next Governor of California in 2026—had a complete meltdown after a CBS reporter asked her about her strategy for winning bipartisan support. Porter insisted she didn't need the support of Trump voters and then abruptly ended the interview—explicitly complaining about being asked too many “follow up” questions. Porter, a former congresswoman and accolade of Elizabeth Warren, lost her 2024 race for U.S. Senate. Now a new video has surfaced of her screaming and cursing at a staffer! Now she's back and refusing to say whether more videos of her verbally abusing staff could be made public. PLUS, Matt notes that in divorce proceedings, Katie Porter's ex-husband alleged that during a 2006 argument, Porter “raised a ceramic bowl of steaming hot mashed potatoes and dumped it on my head, burning my scalp.” 5:40pm- Nancy Pelosi snaps and tells a reporter to “SHUT UP!”

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Show (10/15/2025): 3:05pm- Now that Eric Adams has left the race, can Andrew Cuomo defeat Zohran Mamdani and become the next mayor of New York City? It's not likely. According to the latest polls, Cuomo still trails Mamdani by double digits. 3:10pm- Last week, Republican businessman Jack Ciattarelli and Democratic Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill went head-to-head in their second and final debate before election day on November 4th. Notably, Sherrill shamelessly—and inaccurately—accused Ciattarelli of killing “tens of thousands of people” for work a marketing firm he once owned did on behalf of pharmaceutical companies. Ciattarelli's campaign has sued her for defamation. 3:20pm- Yesterday, for the eighth time, Senate Democrats voted against moving forward with a House-passed bill to fund the government and end the ongoing shutdown. Only John Fetterman, Catherine Cortez Masto, and Angus King broke from their party. The Senate needs 60 votes to advance the bill. 3:30pm- On Wednesday, the Supreme Court heard oral argument in Louisiana v. Callais—a redistricting case focusing on the constitutionality of Louisiana's congressional map. Should states be compelled to consider race when redrawing legislative districts? 3:40pm- On Wednesday, President Donald Trump—alongside FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi—held a press conference from the Oval Office highlighting the progress the administration has made in eliminating violent crime. 4:00pm- On Wednesday, President Donald Trump—alongside FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi—held a press conference from the Oval Office highlighting the progress the administration has made in eliminating violent crime. 5:05pm- Dr. EJ Antoni—Chief Economist at The Heritage Foundation—joins The Rich Zeoli Show. What the heck is climate resilience? Turner explains: “America's working families voted to end this reckless spending spree back in November. But now the Dems are holding military members' pay hostage to bankroll their Green New Scam projects all over the world. Shameful.” 6:30pm- According to a news report from ABC7 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles has declared a state of emergency and issued an eviction moratorium in response to the Trump administration's deportations of illegal migrants. 6:40pm- While speaking with New York Times reporter Kara Swisher, Kamala Harris said she was the most qualified presidential candidate in U.S. history. In the woods just east of Louisville, Kentucky, an old railway bridge cuts through the treeline. To many, it would appear no different to any other trestle found in the rural US. But locals believe that this particular overpass is guarded by a goat-like beast so disturbing that it causes those who see it to instantly run for their lives, or, in some cases, their deaths. For more than half a century, the bodies have continued to pile up with no end in sight, leaving people to wonder, what truly lurks in the shadows of Pope Lick Creek. Eric shares a weekly accountability call within his contractor power circle, where the participants discuss strategies for personal and professional improvement. The primary theme revolves around making it "hard to lose" by setting up systems for success in areas like health, business operations, and financial stability. Participants share personal anecdotes, such as preparing for a dog Halloween costume contest and struggling with client negotiations on job bids, before Eric introduces the core concept of minimizing failure through proactive preparation. Key strategies discussed for contractors include time blocking, refining the sales process to ensure proper job bidding, and utilizing an accountability group for support, with special attention given to the challenges of addressing uncomfortable client conversations and improving cash flow. Key Takeaways: Set up your environment, such as your kitchen or workspace, to make losing or failing difficult. Implement time blocking to dedicate necessary time to health, training, and professional development. Choose your peer group wisely by spending time with people who motivate you to continuously improve and succeed. Improve your follow-through by verbalizing your goals to friends or peers for accountability. Regularly refine your core processes and systems to maximize efficiency and guarantee consistent winning.

MDJ Script/ Top Stories for October 15th Publish Date:  October 15th Commercial: From the BG Ad Group Studio, Welcome to the Marietta Daily Journal Podcast.    Today is Wednesday, October 15th and Happy Birthday to Mario Puzzo I’m Keith Ippolito and here are the stories Cobb is talking about, presented by Times Journal Commissioners to appoint Ferrell police chief Oct 28 Popular cotton candy food truck opens first location in downtown Acworth Cobb Elections Board seeks pay raise, citing increased workload All of this and more is coming up on the Marietta Daily Journal Podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen and subscribe!  BREAK: INGLES 9 STORY 1: Commissioners to appoint Ferrell police chief Oct 28  The Cobb Board of Commissioners is set to make interim Police Chief James Ferrell’s role permanent on Oct. 28, with a vote followed by his swearing-in. Afterward, Ferrell will meet with community members, the county announced Monday. Ferrell, who stepped in as interim chief after Stuart VanHoozer’s April retirement, has been recommended by County Manager Jackie McMorris. While Chair Lisa Cupid initially considered Erika Shields, former Atlanta and Louisville police chief, as a candidate, the focus has shifted to Ferrell. Support for Ferrell is strong, with Commissioner Keli Gambrill and the Georgia Fraternal Order of Police backing his appointment. STORY 2: Popular cotton candy food truck opens first location in downtown Acworth After years of spinning sugar on the go, Gimme That Sugar has finally found a home. Lynn and Phil Lafferty, the couple behind the beloved cotton candy business, just opened their first storefront in Acworth on South Main Street. What started as a pandemic project—a tiny cart, a dream, and a lot of trial and error—has grown into a local favorite. “We had no idea people would love fresh cotton candy this much,” Lynn said. The shop serves their signature spun-to-order cotton candy (on glow sticks, if you’re feeling fancy), plus shaved ice, milkshakes, and more. “It’s surreal,” Lynn added. “A childhood dream come true.” STORY 3: Cobb Elections Board seeks pay raise, citing increased workload   The Cobb County Board of Elections is asking for a big pay bump—over 200%—citing the growing workload and expectations placed on its members. Right now, the board chair gets $200 a month, and members get $150. That’s it. Those rates haven’t changed since the early ’90s, back when meetings were short and infrequent. Now? They’re meeting two or three times a month, often for hours, plus prep work, state meetings, and more. The board wants $600 monthly for the chair and $500 for members. Some commissioners agree a raise is overdue but think the jump might be too steep. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.799.6810 for more info.  We’ll be right back. Break: COBB FALL FESTIVAL STORY 4: Sheriff’s office donates sneakers to middle schoolers  The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office teamed up with No Bull Apparel on Oct. 8 to deliver nearly 100 pairs of sneakers to students at three Cobb middle schools—Garrett, Lindley, and Pearson. Chief Deputy Rhonda Anderson and other CCSO leaders personally handed over the shoes, a gesture aimed at supporting kids who need it most. “It’s about more than sneakers,” one official said. “It’s about showing these students we care.” The sheriff’s office thanked No Bull Apparel for stepping up and investing in Cobb’s youth, calling the partnership a meaningful way to build community and promote wellness. STORY 5: Marjorie Taylor Greene sounds alarm over expiring health care subsidies as shutdown continues As the government shutdown drags on, Georgia’s congressional delegation is locked in a messy blame game. Then there’s Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene—doing her own thing. She’s breaking with her party, slamming both sides over skyrocketing health care costs. “I’m carving my own lane,” she posted online, saying premium hikes will hit her kids and her Northwest Georgia constituents hard. Meanwhile, Democrats and Republicans are at each other’s throats. Democrats blame GOP leadership for the shutdown, while Republicans insist it’s not about health care—it’s about funding the government. And the health care crisis? Still looming, unresolved, and deeply personal for Georgians. Break: STORY 6: Square Threads owner Boozer McClure leads fundraising in Ward 3 bid    Local business owner Boozer McClure has taken the lead in fundraising for the three-way race to replace retiring Ward 3 Councilman Johnny Walker. McClure, who owns Square Threads on Marietta Square, has raised $30,000, outpacing city planner Daniel Gaddis ($26,000) and retired educator Nora Gaudet ($12,500, including loans). Despite raising the most, McClure has spent less than his opponents, leaving him with over $21,000 in the bank. His donors include attorneys, developers, and local restaurateurs, with notable contributions from The Barnes Law Group ($2,500) and Mac’s Chophouse owner Randy McCray ($1,000). Election Day is Nov. 4. STORY 7: Chalktoberfest’s 13th year draws thousands of guests, 100 artists Chalktoberfest took over Marietta Square last weekend, and honestly? It was pure magic. Streets became canvases, with 100 artists from all over—Italy, Mexico, Ukraine—turning pavement into masterpieces. “It’s like the Super Bowl of chalk art,” said Erika Thurkins, who’s been coming for seven years. This time, she drew Jane Goodall, calling her a “huge inspiration.” Meanwhile, Heather Cap brought the ’80s back with a portrait of John Candy as Barf from Spaceballs. “It’s silly, it’s nostalgic—it’s perfect,” she said. The art? Temporary. But that’s the beauty—it’s here, then gone. We’ll have closing comments after this. In this episode, Casey sits down with Chris Crittenden, entrepreneur, educator, and co-founder of Sandbox, for a conversation on courage, innovation, and rethinking what education should be. From selling a startup to Walmart to leading at BYU and now building Sandbox into a movement across multiple universities, Chris shares why closing doors and going deep often leads to the greatest returns. He and Casey explore the flaws of traditional higher education, the trap of chasing prestige, and the power of learning by doing. Chris outlines how Sandbox is equipping students to launch real companies while reshaping themselves in the process. Their discussion dives into resilience, resourcefulness, and why the greatest opportunities often lie off the beaten path. This episode is both a critique of the old system and a vision for a new one, where students learn through building, failure is embraced as part of the process, and desire becomes the ultimate differentiator. What you'll learnHow traditional higher ed's incentives produce shallow learning—and how changing the “soil” unlocks genuine growth. The launch of the Sandbox Fellowship: a 12-month, accredited master's built around one job—build a company. Antonio Gutierrez of Vivid Creative Aquatics joins Eric discussing the Random Flow Generator (RFG) nozzle, a product designed to create non-laminar, turbulent, and natural water flow in enclosed systems like aquariums and ponds. The conversation highlights the counterintuitive nature of the product's function, often leading to user disbelief until they see it in action, which is facilitated by its unique, non-mechanical internal design. Gutierrez explains that the RFG works by generating pressure imbalances that result in randomized directional pulses of water, unlike traditional directional nozzles, and notes that the product, which is manufactured using 3D printing, can effectively replace multiple traditional powerheads in a reef tank. The discussion also touches on the potential applications of the technology in different environments, such as ponds and specialized reptile enclosures, where natural circulation is beneficial for the health of fish and other organisms. Key Takeaways: Prioritize creating natural, turbulent water movement in your aquatic systems to mimic ocean or river environments. Focus on providing random, varied flow to encourage fish to swim and forage naturally, instead of hiding in calm areas. Utilize randomized flow patterns to keep debris suspended, reducing the frequency of cleaning needed in tanks or ponds. Understand that achieving proper water circulation can be more critical to coral and aquatic life health than maximizing light intensity alone. Choose advanced flow devices that operate without internal moving mechanical parts to prevent equipment failure and rust.

Samuel, born and raised in North Carolina's mountains, opens up about why he left his beloved home at 21—not for war or lack of work, but for a darker reason. Eager for steady pay during scarce times, young Samuel joined a logging company, impressing the foreman with his marksmanship and landing a job as an armed deputy enforcing land evictions on mountain families. Shunned by his community for aiding the bosses, Samuel grew isolated. The story's climax came during the third attempt to evict the reclusive Prater clan from their ancient 1,800-acre forest homestead, led by the fierce Mammy Prater. Using kidnapped six-year-old Jenny as leverage, the deputies arrived to collect weapons and demand departure. The Praters complied eerily, gathering to unleash a haunting, high-pitched chant that summoned massive, hairy ape-like beasts from the woods. The creatures slaughtered the entire eviction party in a frenzy of boulders, gunfire, and gore, sparing only Samuel after Mammy declared him a "token" to flee and never return or speak of it. Traumatized, Samuel was forever exiled from his home and family. Years later, tears in his eyes, he shares the tale with the narrator, who leaves unsettled—haunted by nightmares of the impossible horror, unsure if he believes it but forever changed by the old man's quiet burden.Join my Supporters Club for $4.99 per month for exclusive stories:https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/what-if-it-s-true-podcast--5445587/support

Today Eric shares a sales training session focused on improving discovery calls. He proposes a new approach, inspired by a clip from Charlie Kirk, that suggests starting sales conversations by asking the client to share their story regarding the project or problem, which he believes will lead to the customer's true motive faster. The speakers engage in role-playing scenarios—including one about fixing a pond liner leak and another about installing a waterfall—to test the efficacy of this "story" approach versus conventional questioning, with much of the discussion centering on active listening, cadence, and the importance of recaps and addressing the customer's emotions. The overall goal of the proposed technique is to increase efficiency and save time during the sales process. Key Takeaways: Initiate interactions by asking for the customer's story to quickly understand their motive and context. Focus on efficiency to save minutes during interactions, as these saved minutes accumulate into larger gains. Redirect overly lengthy conversations by stating you need to slow down to take notes and ensure you can properly address their needs. Perform consistent practice and role-playing to refine your skills and improve performance in real-world scenarios. Always recap discussions by including the client's emotional motive and story, not just the scope of work.
