North Carolina fizzled out early in the ACC Quarterfinals and returned to Chapel Hill to await their postseason fate. Now they're officially in the "Lose-or-Go-Home" part of the season as the NCAA Tournament awaits. The usual Coast to Coast crew of Sherrell McMillan, Sean Moran and Joey Powell bring on Inside Carolina analyst Rob Harrington and senior reporter Greg Barnes to dig into UNC's real postseason chances and what the Tournament may look like as a whole. The crew focuses on the matchup with VCU. Harrington highlights UNC's six seed as a fair placement despite Caleb Wilson's absence, noting their potential to perform better against mid-major teams. Moran and McMillan emphasized the importance of Henri Veesaar's performance and the need for consistent bench contributions. Barnes notes the tough bracket in the East and South regions, with potential upsets like South Florida over Louisville. The panel agreed that UNC's success hinges on their ability to execute against VCU and maintain intensity throughout the tournament. **Call to Action:** **Subscribe:** Follow 'Inside Carolina' wherever you get your podcasts to never miss an episode! **Review:** Leave us a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify to help us reach more Tar Heel fans! **Visit:** Explore http://www.InsideCarolina.com for breaking news, recruiting updates, and expert commentary on all things UNC sports. This show is brought to you by Inside Carolina, the No. 1 site for UNC sports coverage and community. It finally happened. After years of aerial photographs, land speculation, and breathless anticipation, Mike and EB walk through the gates of Universal Epic Universe — and it does not disappoint.   Well, mostly. Stardust Racers is still closed, Yoshi's Adventure is aggressively just a Yoshi that meanders, and someone on Twitter says the whole thing might need to be torn down. But other than that? Top five park day. Tom from Louisville said so himself, and Tom from Louisville has been to a lot of parks.   Mike and EB go portal by portal through the whole thing — 1920s Paris at Ministry of Magic (280-minute wait; they waited 20. We said what we said.), Le Cirque Arcanus with the magic tent that's bigger on the inside, Bowser's Challenge being better than advertised, Donkey Kong Country being exactly as fun as a cartoon mine cart should be, Hiccup's Wing Gliders being a surprise contender for ride of the trip, and Monsters Unchained delivering actual honest-to-God jump scares in a theme park.   They also discovered that the Burning Blade Tavern serves drinks in a beaker with what may or may not be microplastics in it. It was delicious.   Plus: Seven Six Flags parks are sold for $342 million — less than the cost of a highway overpass. Disney's parks get a new worldwide president, and they hope he lives long enough to be a hero. Muppet Vision 3D is going to VR, a decision that exactly zero people are satisfied with. And Barracuda Strike opens at SeaWorld San Antonio — the family invert where the artwork shows the track going underwater, but the track does not go underwater.

What does it actually look like for a dad to follow God in everyday life? In this episode, Kent and Lawson talk about a simple but powerful word that is shaping Kent's year: follow. For 16 years, Kent's family has taken an annual family retreat where each person chooses a word to focus on for the year. This year, Kent's word opened the door to a deeper conversation about hearing God's voice, letting go of our own plans, and trusting Him with the path ahead.   They also talk about how dads can study Scripture in a way that actually changes them, not just fills their heads with information. Kent shares a practical method for slowing down, praying through God's Word, and doing a topical Bible study that sinks into the heart.   Along the way, Lawson reflects on disappointment, closed doors, and how God often uses detours to grow our faith and redirect our lives. If you've ever felt pulled in too many directions, unsure what God wants from you, or hungry to lead your family with greater spiritual clarity, this conversation will help.   In this episode, you'll hear: How the Evans family uses a yearly retreat to build spiritual intentionality What Jesus teaches about following the Father Why pace and prayer matter when reading the Bible How disappointment can become a tool God uses to redirect us Why dads who want their kids to follow well must learn to follow God first   Key Scriptures (for further study, if you're so inclined...;): John 6:38 Proverbs 16:9 Ephesians 2:10 John 8:12 John 10:4 John 12:26   And, if you're interested in hearing more from our 9-part study on Proverbs 16, scroll all the way back to episode 59 and give those a listen!   Want to shape the direction of the show this year? After a twenty-year career as a business leader, he embarked on biblical Fatherhood ministry projects. He's appeared on television, radio, web outlets and podcasts. He's spoken at parenting and men's events, and authored four books. The first, Wise Guys: Unlocking Hidden Wisdom from the Men Around You, was written to help men learn how to find mentors and wise counsel. The latest, Don't Bench Yourself: How to Stay in the Game Even When You Want to Quit, aims to help dads stay present in their roles as fathers and husbands even when they feel like giving up. Kent's life has been radically affected by godly mentors and his lovely wife, April. They have been married thirty years and have five sons and one daughter-in-law. He lives in Louisville, Kentucky.   Lawson Brown is husband to his high school sweetheart, a father of two young adult daughters, has been a business leader since 1995, and is a former Marine. He served as a small group leader for teenage boys for many years, helped start the Christian media ministry City on a Hill Productions, then later Sanctuary – a new church in Kennesaw, GA – where he served as its leader for Men's Ministry. Lawson's journey of faith has always been centered in a grounding from his wife, Audrey, and supported throughout by many men whom he's found as brothers along the way. His family is nearing an empty nest phase and has recently relocated to the Florida Gulf Coast beaches area.

This week on Truth To Power, we bring you an important conversation in the face of the 2026 mid-term elections. On January 15th, 120 Oberlin College alumni and friends participated in a widely anticipated online program called "What is the Democratic Party?" Professor Larry Jacobs of the University of Minnesota served as moderator for an energetic conversation that featured Holly Fechner and John Lawrence, both of whom worked for Democratic members of Congress and have decades of experience working in politics. Comments by Holly and John reflected optimism for the Democrats to take control of the House, but they considered prospects for the Democrats to take the Senate to be not so promising but possible. Historical trends favoring the opposition party in midterm elections, the unpopularity of Trump, and negative perceptions of the economy are among the key factors now favoring the Democrats. Wildcards that could trip the Democrats include disenfranchisement of Democratic-leaning voters through redistricting, restricting mail-in and early voting options, and deployments of military and other security forces to intimidate voters. It was posited that the Democrats still needed to change their approach and widen their appeal across class lines, because of perceptions that the Party is too West/East Coastal, too old, and too beholden to donors and the educated elite. Alternatively, it was argued that the Democrats have been pursuing policies that advance the welfare of “regular” Americans by pursuing policy initiatives that address “affordability,” health care, educational opportunities, and the environment, but the Party's messaging can get sidetracked by “cultural” issues that are important, but are distracting to the general populace. To wit, the priority of selecting candidates who could win elections was illustrated by a quote from former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi who said that Democrats on the Hill would be merely resigned to having “a conversation” if they lacked majority control of the House. Panelists highlighted examples across America's history in which the forces of “illiberalism” were overcome, and they maintained that public protests are important to build solidarity and demonstrate the resilience of the opposition. Watch recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BE3WfkcWhg It is the civic duty of all adult U.S. citizens in Kentucky to vote in the Primary elections on Tuesday May 19th, including the Mayor's race, many Metro Council seats, Sheriff, County Clerk, County Attorney, and State Rep seats right here in Louisville. Join us live: Our next live podcast, "Access Louisville: The State of Dining Out," is set for 4 p.m. April 21 at 500 West Jefferson. We'll talk about issues facing the industry, including food costs, changing neighborhood dynamics and more. Tickets are available here.Hollywood is shining a spotlight on Louisville with HBO's true crime documentary "Murder in Glitterball City."The doc, which released a few weeks ago, was based on the book "A Dark Room in Glitterball City" by local author David Dominé. And he joins us on this week's show. Dominé is also the owner of Louisville Historic Tours, which gives architectural and ghost tours in the city. We give our impressions on the 2-part series, which — in spite of the heinous crime at the center of it — somehow manages to paint Louisville in a charming light. That was core to the book as Dominé explains, as he wanted the Old Louisville neighborhood to feature like a character in the book.As Dominé notes on the show, the book and the documentary are two different things. But he was very happy with HBO's take on it. It's not everyday an author gets his work translated to the screen in such a way. "Just a fact that it attracted attention and made it to the screen was very gratifying," he said. "It's great that Louisville still gets it time in the spotlight. I love the fact that people are talking about Louisville."Access Louisville is a weekly podcast from Louisville Business First.
