Is the plot to the Justice League movie related to the DC arc Justice League: WAR? Taylor digs into the trailer and the events that happen in the DCU that could help shape the plot of this movie to movies to come. What do we think of the portrayals of Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg? Are they on Apocalypse? Did Batman's Knightmare scene with the Parademons come true? Was The Flash in BvS a reference to a Crisis DC Comics event in this movie? Will we see Superman as a villain in Justice League? So many Questions! Comic books/trades discussed in this Issue: Justice League Volume 1 and 2 (The New 52) by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee Crisis on Infinite Earths by George Perez and Marv Wolfman Infinite Crisis by Geoff Johns Identity Crisis by Brad Meltzer Final Crisis by Grant Morrison Flashpoint by Geoff Johns Superman: Secret Identity
Taylor wasn't a huge fan of Netflix and Marvel's Iron Fist. Instead he decided to find some essential issues of Iron Fist that he thinks YOU should read. Check out: IMMORTAL IRON FIST POWERMAN AND IRON FIST IRON FIST #1 (2017)

Marvel's Iron Fist is out on Netflix and our resident optimist, Taylor has an issue: he hates it. This is the guy who likes Suicide Squad, Batman v. Superman (extended edition) and Superman Returns... but Iron Fist is too hokey, long and boring for him to get behind. There were redeeming moments though! Take a view to see what the guys thought of Marvel and Netflix's Iron Fist and let us know what you thought below.

Last Week in Comics (3:38) This week we go over some of the top premiering and continuations of comics from DC and Marvel including: Superman #5 Batman #5 Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #1 Green Arrow #5 Nightwing #3 Suicide Squad #1 Justice League #3 Supergirl Rebirth #1* * Taylor chose this as our #ThisWeeksLastWeek which means of all the newest issues we discussed THIS was the issue that stood out most to us. Have a favorite comic from the past week? Let us know in the comments below. Wrapping up the Backlog (10:41) This is the BIG list of all the comics Taylor read over the past two months to make sure he was as informed as possible for the show today. I won't paste the list because it'll just make your eyes bleed... WELL WHY NOT. See the list at the bottom of the show notes. Some comics worth mentioning though: Civil War (12:10) *Taylor is really digging the way this story is going. Even though it is delayed he sees it as one of the best uses of Marvel characters and a story that is cohesive and flows. Archie (12:39) *Our top pick for last years Comic of the Year is continuing it's streak of great issues as it crosses over issue #9. The art style and down to earth storytelling mixed with the #TeamBetty v. #TeamVeronica make this a great read for any comic aficionado level. Jughead (13:19) *While the pop-culture daydreams are gone after issue #6, Taylor is still a big fan of the irreverent humor and solid art style. Sex Criminals (14:07) *This is what we would pun-ily call a "graphic novel". Taylor enjoyed the mature themes and overall story that works as both a sexy reading time as it does a story about relationships and meta jokes. The Wicked + The Divine (16:40) Something Gat actually read! This Gods-among-men story has beautiful art work and a great hook to get you to invest in the initial volume and want to stay current--knowing full well your favorite character won't be around forever. Topic of the Week (19:00) The big discussion this week deals with the DC Rebirth! We discuss some of the new comic series your should definitely get in to and some you should definitely avoid (for now). Did we love a comic that you loved to or are you ready to tell us how crazy and wrong we are? Let us know in the comments below! BONUS DISCUSSIONS (28:48) The guys discuss Suicide Squad and why Chris refuses to see it. Then they discuss The Killing Joke animated movie and how nothing makes that Barbara Gordon arc OK.
