Guest: Assaf RazLength: 54:41Episode Summary: In this soul-stirring conversation, Joseph sits down with Assaf Raz—a real estate entrepreneur turned novelist whose life reads like an epic. Born in Israel and drawn to the mythos of America, Assaf immigrated to Venice Beach in his early twenties, chasing a dream he'd long revered from afar. For over two decades, he built a life through grit, vision, and entrepreneurial fire. But it was a spiritual awakening in his thirties that changed everything.Assaf opens up about the moment that cracked his world open, leading him to love, fatherhood, and the written word. He shares the origin story of Rite of Passage, his memoir chronicling that transformation, and how a passion for Roman history nearly birthed a novel—until 2020 changed his course. As the streets around him erupted in unrest, Assaf felt called to write Old Glory, a speculative fiction series born from deep concern for the American experiment. Now living nomadically with his family since 2022, Assaf reflects on what it means to belong, to question, and to create in uncertain times. This episode is a meditation on identity, legacy, and the stories that shape nations—and ourselves.Themes We Explore:The immigrant's mythic journey to AmericaSpiritual awakening and the courage to reinventWriting as a tool for healing and cultural critiqueThe power of speculative fiction in turbulent timesFamily, freedom, and the road as a way of lifeMentioned in This Episode:Rite of Passage by Assaf RazThe Old Glory seriesRoman history and the allure of alternative timelinesConnect with Assaf Raz: [Insert Website or Socials]
In this personal and reflective birthday episode, I'm sharing what this past year has truly been for me — the hard, the awesome, and everything in between. This year stretched me to my edges. I found myself in deep suffering, overwhelmed, overstimulated, and at times disconnected from my joy. It was a season of endings, uncertainty, and profound inner change — what I now recognize as a dark night of the soul. And yet, within all of that, something beautiful happened. I realized that if I'm going to choose to be here anyway — I have to live while I'm alive. I have to lighten up, focus on the light, and allow joy to return to the center. This episode is about that awakening. About remembering that the point isn't to fix or perfect ourselves — it's to live. To love ourselves through the growth. To see how far we've actually come. You'll hear about how this past year has been a full death-and-rebirth cycle for me — closing On The Path, preparing for my book, hosting retreats, taking on more one-on-one clients, and stepping even more deeply into my calling. It's the end of one chapter and the beginning of something new — a reminder that every ending holds the seed of what's next. ✨ Reflection Questions: What have I walked through this past year that has made me stronger, softer, or wiser? What am I ready to release, forgive, or finally put down as I move into this next chapter? What do I want to turn up in my life — joy, creativity, confidence, self-trust, presence? How can I live while I'm alive, right here, right now — not waiting for the next milestone? What light am I ready to share more boldly with the world? Healing deep trauma is never a straight path; it's a brave and sacred journey back to wholeness. For spiritual guide and grief alchemist Caroline Rena, this path is illuminated by one unwavering truth: healing is possible. In this profoundly moving episode, Caroline Rena opens her heart and story, sharing her passage through childhood abuse, military trauma, inherited Holocaust pain, and the devastating experience of parental alienation. With raw honesty and deep wisdom, she reveals how somatic practices, radical self-compassion, and a commitment to elevating her energetic frequency became the keys to breaking toxic generational patterns. She also reveals how healing the nervous system not only liberates the individual but also creates a ripple effect that uplifts collective consciousness, and she speaks candidly about navigating the depths of depression and the Dark Night of the Soul—and how these trials ultimately led her to a place of divine purpose. Today, Caroline stands as a compassionate, intuitive guide for those seeking transformation, offering hope and healing to others walking the path back to themselves. IN THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL HEAR ABOUT THINGS LIKE:Trauma can be macro (major events) or micro (simple events).Trauma overwhelms coping, affecting mind and body, with short or long-term impacts.Generational trauma passes down unconsciously.Military Sexual Trauma (MST) ranges from harassment to rape; the military has struggled to address it.The “Dark Night of the Soul” involves depression and hopelessness, but can spark healing.Parental alienation is painful, manipulating children to reject a parent, often in high-conflict divorces.Healing involves releasing stored trauma from the nervous system through somatic work, EMDR, and EFT.Empaths and highly sensitive people are prone to trauma but can heal and impact collective consciousness.Emotions are energy; stuck trauma prevents healing. Releasing it raises vibration.Healing is continuous, but it gets easier, allowing quicker recovery from emotional challenges.Personal healing and raised consciousness ripple outwards, influencing hundreds and driving planetary change.Gentleness, healing work, and self-love are key to joy and reducing triggers. Mentor Sessions Ep. 037: Michael Morelli on Rock Bottom Addiction Recovery, Building a Bitcoin-Powered Fitness Empire, Parallels to Sound Money & Radical LongevityMichael Morelli's Bitcoin journey mirrors his brutal addiction recovery: from high more than sober for a decade, snorting oxycodone amid bankruptcy and affairs, to a 113-day shred from 25% to 8% body fat—bootstrapping FitScript into a multimillion-dollar data-driven health empire coaching 600+ men with peak biomarkers while stacking BTC as a maxi since 2020. Inspired by Saifedean Ammous' "The Bitcoin Standard," Morelli draws logical parallels between paleo nutrition's ancestral simplicity and Bitcoin's finite, sound money—why it's the only asset that "just seems logical" in a fiat-fueled health and wealth disparity crisis. In this BTC Sessions interview, he busts carnivore myths (labs "fucking wrecked"), unpacks peptides for faster gains, red light therapy hacks, and his no-excuses mantra: if a coke-addicted bankrupt can rebuild to live until 150, stacking sats with low-time preference, Bitcoiners have zero excuses for subpar health. Send us a textSocrates taught his students contempt for the gods, how to defraud creditors, and useless trivialities about flea-jumping. Or at least, that's how Socrates appears in the comedy Clouds. If you want to understand something of the Athenian hostility to the great philosopher which eventually reached its climax in sentencing Socrates to death, it helps to see how he was lampooned in front of Athenian audiences by his contemporary, the comedian playwright Aristophanes. But Clouds is more than just (dirty) jokes. It is a profane and self-critical attack on educational innovation, and a call to return to the old ways, the ways which produced heroic men like Aeschylus, who with his fellows turned the Persians back at Marathon and saved Greece. The new form of education, in Aristophanes' view, threatens to reduce Athens to a pathetic bunch of weak and impious nerds. But even in his mockery of the new, Aristophanes seems well aware of the inner weakness of the old ways and the reason for their defeat. Send us a textIn Ep. 225, host Andrea Atherton sits down with Dr. Ashley Hudson, a therapist, speaker, and educator whose work bridges the sacred connection between mental, spiritual, and sexual health. With grace and grounded wisdom, Ashley opens up about her PhD research on the impact of the Purity Culture Movement on postpartum women, a topic that reveals how deeply cultural conditioning around sexuality can shape our sense of identity, body image, and self-worth after childbirth. Together, Andrea and Ashley explore how this conditioning affects intimacy, motherhood, and the journey of returning home to oneself. With over a decade of experience as a therapist and the founder of Pearl in Process, Dr. Hudson brings her signature blend of compassion and humor to this important discussion. She invites listeners to consider the ways shame can disconnect us from our own pleasure and emotional truth, while offering a hopeful reminder that healing is a process, not a destination. This episode creates space for both personal reflection and collective healing, encouraging women to reclaim their stories and their bodies with tenderness and power.Through their rich and vulnerable conversation, Andrea and Ashley uncover how spiritual and sexual liberation are intertwined—and how the journey through postpartum transformation can become an initiation into deeper love and wholeness, as well as a more empowered sexual liberation. Whether you are healing from the effects of purity culture, navigating the complexities of motherhood, or longing to feel more at home in your body, this episode offers insight, empathy, and inspiration for the path forward.Dr. Ashley Hudson - Website: www.pearlinprocess.comTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@pearlinprocessInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/pearlinprocessFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/pearlinprocess/30-minute Consultation with Andrea https://www.andreaatherton.com/booking-calendarAndrea Atherton Websitehttps://www.andreaatherton.com/Love Anarchy Websitehttps://www.andreaatherton.com/podcasthttps://loveanarchypodcast.buzzsprout.comLove Anarchy Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/loveanarchypodcast/Andrea Atherton Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/andreaatherton-17/

Send us a textWelcome back to DMR!Jurassic World: Rebirth is a visually impressive but narratively uneven return to the dinosaur blockbuster formula. Critics praise its thrilling set pieces, polished effects, and renewed focus on the prehistoric stars that made the franchise iconic. It's a big, loud, entertaining ride that captures some of the old magic, and for audiences simply craving dino mayhem, it largely delivers. The cast is solid, the action sequences are well-executed, and it feels more respectful of the original Jurassic Park tone than some recent installments. But the story itself doesn't quite evolve — it's weighed down by thin characters, predictable plotting, and a few unnecessary subplots. Many reviewers describe it as fun but forgettable, a movie that entertains in the moment yet doesn't leave a lasting impact. That's why it sits at around 50% on Rotten Tomatoes: half the critics enjoyed the spectacle, while the other half felt the franchise is stuck in the past. In short, Rebirth roars but doesn't soar!Remember to grab your 30 day free Audible trial, link is in the show, you will also support DMR!Support the showThe audio clips used in this podcast, including excerpts from movie/series/documentary trailers, are used under the principles of fair use and fair dealing for the purpose of criticism, commentary, and review. A @Christadelphians Video:In this thought-provoking and insightful Milestones Bible Prophecy Update, we examine the future role of the Catholic Church in the unfolding of end-times events. Building on Part 1, this expositional presentation delves into Scripture to reveal how current Middle East dynamics and Vatican policies align with ancient prophecies concerning a final confederacy against Israel. We explore the significant shift in Vatican stance towards Israel and the Palestinians, the rise of 'Palestinian Liberation Theology', and the powerful symbolism in recent Papal visits. This analysis, presented by Brother Don Pearce, provides an outstanding look at how Bible prophecy is being outworked in our generation, pointing to the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ.**Chapters / Timestamps:**00:00 - Introduction00:50 - Preparing the Flock: A First-Century Warning02:03 - The Scattering of the Jews and the Rebirth of Israel03:00 - [Revealing] The Vatican as a Prophesied Enemy of Israel04:04 - The Papacy and the "Man of Sin"05:01 - Pope Francis and the Shift in Vatican Policy06:21 - Liberation Theology: Redefining Jesus and the Bible08:25 - Symbolism and Imagery: The Erasure of Jewish Heritage12:33 - The EU, The Church, and a United Power14:47 - Historical Papal Opposition to a Jewish Homeland15:35 - Daniel 2: The Prophetic Image and its Final Stage17:15 - Revelation 17: The Scarlet Woman and Babylon the Great20:13 - "Mother Church": The Titles and Claims of Rome21:51 - Pope Leo: A New Agenda and Vatican Finances24:54 - Revelation 18: The Merchants of the Earth25:22 - Conclusion**
Simran is magical. It's as if I've waited my whole life to meet her… again? She's an author, artist, publisher, mystic, host of 11:11 talk radio, founder of 11:11 magazine and creating content that bridges humanity and divinity sharing her transformative journey from material success to spiritual awakening triggered by repeatedly seeing the number 11:11. We began our recording with construction in the background- given our fancy microphones didn't pick it up, we decided to embrace the disruption as symbolic and potentially useful for their discussion. We discussed how to respond rather than react to life's challenges. Simran shared her personal journey of transformation that began with repeatedly seeing the number 11:11, which led her to a spiritual awakening after living an outwardly successful but inwardly empty life. She described her 10-year journey of surrendering to darkness and embracing her shadow self, during which she cried daily for months after never having cried before age 40. Simran explained her discovery of three aspects of self—identity, shadow/animal, and humanity—and how embracing her full humanity became the doorway to divinity and wholeness. Simran vulnerably shared her experience of financial hardship during a 10-year period where, despite accumulating debt and having no income, she was always taken care of through unexpected opportunities like selling her house. She describes this as a practice of embodied faith, where she allowed herself to fully feel her emotions while simultaneously witnessing them from a place of divine masculine awareness. She explained that by deeply loving herself and trusting in something bigger than herself, she was able to navigate seemingly impossible situations, such as managing three properties while being financially strained, through creative solutions that manifested elegantly when needed. She walks her talk, explaining that mastery is not about having a perfect life, but about maintaining emotional balance through all experiences, emphasizing that everyone is building the muscles to become masters. When I asked about helping people deal with the chaos of current world events, Simran suggested that challenges don't take us down but rather create a detour, opportunities to reframe obstacles, challenges, and even darkness as blessings in disguise that help deconstruct the layers we build in our seven-year developmental cycles, brilliantly using the example of the jackhammers installing new drains outside her home, as a metaphor for how we're collectively backed up with emotions that need release. Simran discussed the importance of looking inward when encountering external conflicts, suggesting that what we see outside is a reflection of what's inside us. She shares her personal journey of confronting narcissism by finding and loving the corresponding parts within herself, including her "inner demon" and self-hate. Simran explained that uncomfortable feelings and experiences are created by neglected parts of ourselves seeking attention, and the value of fully feeling emotions without an agenda to heal or fix them. Simran and I have incredibly difficult custody battles in common. She shared her difficult journey of motherhood, including a complete separation from one child and limited contact with her 4-year-old son due to circumstances in South Carolina. After years of grief, she realized her tears were not only her own but also those of her ancestors and the collective suffering of others. She eventually sold her home and moved across from her son's high school to be near him energetically, even without regular contact, which has provided her with a sense of connection. Simran shared her philosophy of trusting life's intelligence and embracing simplicity as the first grace we must give ourselves. She explained that freedom comes from releasing attachments and viewing life as a spiritual soul experience rather than an ego-driven one. Just when we thought the jackhammers were the only sign from the Universe, our conversation was then interrupted by a power shutdown! You can't make this sh&^ up! We both interpreted this as a meaningful sign to unplug, reset, and listen to one's soul rather than acting on impulse. We discussed the importance of recognizing which part of oneself is driving actions and being open to the guidance that comes through everyday disruptions like burst pipes or lost jobs. We concluded our deep conversation, discussing how challenges like divorce can be gifts and opportunities for rebirth. On After The Show on Patreon, we had a blast dancing and pondering love. Simran defined "epiphagasms" as profound spiritual insights and describes orgasmicness as when "I disappear into you, and you disappear into me,” As two single women, we discussed our perspectives on divine love versus human love. Simran expressed that she knows divine love well but questions the value of human love after experiencing an arranged marriage for 20 years, while I suggested that relationships can offer growth through liberating love beyond self-interest. We both acknowledged being in a place of feeling complete on our own but remain curious about what a relationship with someone at their level of spiritual development might offer. You can find her work including her trilogy of books meant to be read in small daily doses, on her website iamsimran.com She has a Substack membership and free content at 1111mag.com ➡️ Go check out patreon.com/allanapratt for Exclusive content! About Simran: SIMRAN is a multiple-gold-award-winning author of multiple books, an artist, speaker, and mystic. Host of 11:11 Talk Radio, a weekly radio show founded in 2009; she is the Nautilus Award winner of 11:11 Magazine, founded in 2007. IN 2025, 11:11 Magazine initiated a new digest series, 'The 11:11 Conscious Living' for serving and empowering humanity. Recounting his history in the industry, including his time at Nike as part of the 6.0 project, Jake shares lessons he's learned through his experience, and how they apply to what he's working on now. As marketing ramped up for Jurassic World Rebirth, there were multiple questions about just what the hell this film was going to be. There was no Colin Trevorrow, no Chris Pratt, and no Bryce Dallas Howard. Instead, we had Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and, much to Adam's chagrin, director Gareth Edwards (2014's Godzilla). So, what exactly were we in for? That's what we're here to discuss. With theatrical stories to tell, the guys come in and talk about what their expectations for Rebirth were going in, as well as if it lived up to any of them. This Jurassic World series has been a tough set of weeks for us. Can this update of ‘dinos on the chase' be a nice end to the series? Also, be sure to stay tuned until the end, as we talk about what we're doing next, and it involves another big creature attacking story. Though this one, might be the one that started it all. What is it? Listen and find out!!
The Will To Change: Uncovering True Stories of Diversity & Inclusion
In this minisode, Jennifer invites us into an intimate reflection on what it truly means to lead, rebuild, and stay human in seasons of profound transformation. Drawing from her own experience of letting go, dissolving old identities, and tending to what remains, she explores four inner practices that make reinvention possible—stillness, grief, surrender, and humility. These are not side practices, she reminds us, but essential muscles for leading through collapse into creation. With honesty and grace, Jennifer offers a space to pause, breathe, and remember that even in the quiet of winter, the seeds of renewal are already taking root.
Episode 4866: Rebirth Of The Love For Country And God
What I like about Substack is that its algorithm doesn't feed me things that will only make me angry — unlike some other social-media platforms, where you should totally be following me. If I'm not angering you here — I most definitely will over there. So I have the Sub coders to thank for feeding me Jason Noto. On this episode of The Lou Perez Podcast, I talk with the filmmaker about getting audiences back into movie theaters, the trauma of producing a feature film only to watch it drown in the slipstream(ing), and what it's like to have worked with Timothée Chalamet (“Timmy” to Jason) and Elisabeth Moss before their careers blew up. You can watch the pre-Mad Men, pre-Handmaid's Tale, Moss in Noto's El Camino (full movie on YouTube) and his latest feature film, Beyond the Night on Amazon.
