Today is Episode 400… a milestone I never imagined when I sat at my dining room table with six children during the pandemic, simply trying to create safety and stability for kids who needed a place to learn. The importance of creating safe containers for transformation. Healing emerges from integration, not perfection. The feminine as embodied wisdom, not gender. Trauma is acknowledged as stored in the nervous system, not just memory. True restoration involves grief, anger, love, and joy — all welcomed. This conversation is less about becoming "better" and more about coming   home to yourself.

Ok, WWII is over, and so I'm done talking about famous battles and cool fighter planes for a while.  But I do feel that I need to go back and talk about a really important and horrific story of WWII, and how that affects our modern world.  And that is the story of the Holocaust.  It's not a pleasant thing to talk about, but it's really important, and has a big impact on the world after WWII, and on our modern world as well.  And just a bit of a warning here, this episode is a bit longer than most, because I feel like I needed to re-cover some history that we've already talked about in older episodes.

Executive Director Asia Blackwell unpacks the full arc: early wins rooted in trust, warning signs revealed by governance training and a whistleblower policy, and the moment when cultural respect had to face corrupt realities, overcome personal threats, retaliation, forged elections, missing funds, and state-backed intimidation. After a democratic vote unseated entrenched leaders, a wave of retaliation brought lawsuits, threats, violence, and a dramatic raid with arrests of innocents. Trusted allies hadn't founded a nonprofit. They created a private society they owned, a structural flaw they leveraged for personal gain, through corruption.
