For Howie's Boston brethren, he wants you to know one thing: Let's go, Brandon! Bay Staters are frustrated by the traffic due to the British-American meet-up at the JFK Library today. Then, Howie gives an off-brand opinion on the Kanye West Twitter hysteria. Should Elon silence Ye? Tune in to see what Howie says.
Howie talks the worst election in the entire history of Massachusetts: this past one. The state is so corrupt, so deep blue, and there won't be getting out of this horrid situation anytime soon with the mail-in ballot schemes. Tune in for Howie's takes on Geoff Diehl's terrible campaign, lack of money, and joke-ness.
In this podcast we had the opportunity to spend time and talk with the Command Team responsible for training the “Iron Fist” of our Army; the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE) at Fort Benning. The “People First” strategy, understanding the human dimension, and just being great leaders, has this team on course to take the MCOE to levels never seen before. It brings me great pleasure to provide you with an inside look on what MG Patrick Donahoe and CSM Derrick Garner are doing. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/yournextmission/message

The Soft Drinks Industry Levy, also known as the Sugar Tax, was introduced in the UK in 2018 with the aim of tackling childhood obesity. But what might the implications be if the UK Government decides to scrap it? According to many people, it has been a great success. Drinks manufacturers have reformulated their products, reducing the sugar content in drinks, around £300 million a year has been raised, which has been spent on things like school sports and breakfast clubs, and it is estimated the amount of sugar purchased by households through soft drinks fell by 10% in the year following the introduction. However, not everyone thinks it is a good thing. And its existence is under threat. At the time of writing, Liz Truss has announced her resignation as UK Prime Minister, but it is not clear who will replace her. In the weeks before her resignation, it was widely reported that she was considering scrapping the Sugar Tax. As treasury minister Liz Truss said "taxes on treats" hit those on the lowest incomes and people should be "free to choose". Whoever takes over at 10 Downing Street will have a decision to make; keep the Sugar Tax or abandon it. So, we are asking: how well has the tax worked, and what might happen if it was to disappear? The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: 3:05pm- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) advisory committee voted to recommend COVID-19 vaccines be added to the childhood immunization schedule—which could potentially result in vaccination being required in order to attend public schools. While appearing on Fox News prior to the recommendation officially being made, Johns Hopkins Professor Dr. Marty Makary explained that the CDC's guidance is being issued despite no clinical data supporting vaccination against COVID-19 for young children being made available to the public. 3:20pm- While visiting Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, President Joe Biden delivered a 20-minute speech touting his Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and appeared alongside Senate candidate John Fetterman. 3:40pm- Ben Weingarten—Columnist at RealClearInvestigation—joins the show to talk about his latest project, “Invisible Hand or Iron Fist? RealClearInvestigations' Guide to Politicized Capitalism,” which operates as “a one-stop trove of resources allowing readers, including investors, to survey today's politically charged corporate battlefield and assess how companies are influencing American politics from outside the voting booth, and being influenced themselves.”

RealClearInvestigations' Guide to Politicized Capitalism,” which operates as “a one-stop trove of resources allowing readers, including investors, to survey today's politically charged corporate battlefield and assess how companies are influencing American politics from outside the voting booth, and being influenced themselves.” 4:10pm- MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell is facing criticism following a “softball interview” with Democrat candidate for Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro. During the interview, Mitchell did not ask a single question about high-crime-rates in Pennsylvania. Mediaite's Jackson Richman writes: “Both violent and property crime in Pennsylvania have only increased over the past year. As of Oct. 13, there have been 429 homicides in Philadelphia in 2022, just three fewer homicides than the number of them at this point in 2021. The number of armed and non-armed robberies in the City of Brotherly Love has skyrocketed year-over-year.” 4:35pm- The Daily Caller's Jack McEvoy described President Joe Biden's claim that he hasn't done anything to hinder domestic oil production as “disingenuous.” He writes: “the Biden administration has instituted a regulatory crackdown on producers and discouraged investment in the industry while blaming oil and gas companies for the resulting shortages and price hikes.” 4:50pm- During his monologue on Wednesday night, MSNBC host Chris Hayes stated, “keeping gas prices low is key to preserving and strengthening the future of our democracy” because price stability will, theoretically, lead to people voting Democrat over Republican during the 2022 midterms. 5:05pm- During a recent debate, Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (D-Virginia) claimed that high gas prices emphasize the need to transition to Green Energy. 5:10pm- According to a Rolling Stone Magazine report from Tatiana Siegel, Emmy award-winning producer James Gordon Meek—who was in the process of investigating the Biden Administration's withdrawal from Afghanistan—had his home raided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and has remained out of the public spotlight since. 5:30pm- Dr. Mehmet Oz—Republican Candidate for U.S. Senate representing Pennsylvania—joins the show to talk about the biggest issues being debated in the 2022 midterm elections: the economy, high crime-rates, and education. Biden continues to deplete the nation's petroleum reserves while denying responsibility for increased gas prices. Dr. Oz explains how Pennsylvania fracking can help America become energy independent. 5:55pm- Time to Reduce the Load: U.S. developed “green technology” but gave it away to China, robot cops with shotguns, Jeff Bezos' economic warning, Elon Musk's feud with Ukrainian officials. 6:05pm- Pennsylvania State Senator Doug Mastriano—Republican Candidate for Pennsylvania Governor—joins the show to talk about the CDC's advisory committee voting to recommend COVID-19 vaccines be added to the childhood immunization schedule. Sen. Mastriano states that he will not compel parents or children to receive the vaccine in order to attend public school, if elected governor. 6:15pm- While speaking via Zoom at Stanford University, U.S. Assistant Secretary for Health Dr. Rachel Levine criticized state laws that prevent children from undergoing “gender affirming” medical procedures. 6:30pm- According to reports, Georgia has broken a state record for most first-day early voting ballots cast in a midterm election—with over 131,000. However, Democrat candidate for Georgia Governor Stacey Abrams continues to insist that voter suppression is rampant in the state. 6:45pm- According to the Heritage Foundation's 2023 Index of U.S. Military Strength, the nation's military may not have the capability to successfully wage war in two areas of conflict simultaneously. Alarmingly, the report stated of the U.S. Airforce: “even though the munitions stockpile may have returned to a level that is capable of supporting a surge in expenditures associated with a conflict similar to the global war on terrorism—loosely encompassing operations in Afghanistan and Iraq—it probably would not support a peer-level fight that lasted more than a few weeks.” 6:55pm- Who Won Social Media? + Zeoli's Final Thought

Finn Jones has wanted to be an actor for as long as he can remember. “It's inherently been a driving factor of my life,” he told me, along with his early journey into film and television. As an actor, Finn is best known for starring as Danny Rand in Iron Fist and on Game of Thrones as Loral Tyrell. He's also been in Swimming with Sharks, Dickinson, and Sleeping Beauty. Most recently, Finn starred in a film for Blumhouse called The Visitor, which was directed by Justin P. Lange. The plot reads, "After a series of tragedies, Robert moves with his wife back to her childhood home. After he discovers an old portrait of a man who looks like him, he goes down a rabbit hole to discover the identity of this mysterious doppelganger.” In this interview, we talk about Finn's film work, how he originally learned camera work, what it means to have “blind faith” as an actor, working with creative role models, and how he survived failure from Netflix's Iron Fist. Subscribe for video interviews on YouTube: www.youtube.com/c/CreativePrinciples?sub_confirmation=1 If you enjoy the podcast, would you please consider leaving a short review on Apple Podcasts? It only takes about 60-seconds and it really helps convince some of the hard-to-get guests to sit down and have a chat (simply scroll to the bottom on your iTunes Podcast app and click “Write Review"). Actor Finn Jones is probably most known to Geekscapists as Loras Tyrell in HBO's 'Game of Thrones' and as Danny Rand in the Netflix and Marvel series 'Iron Fist' and 'The Defenders'! Now Finn is back in the new Blumhouse horror film 'The Visitor', exploring a genre we're not as familiar with him in! So of course he dropped by Geekscape to talk horror films, genre acting and how Danny Rand should return to the MCU! There's a ton of great stuff in this episode so enjoy! She-Hulk Producer Reveals How Wong's Surprising Target Reveal Came to Be (Exclusive) https://thedirect.com/article/she-hulk-wong-target-job-exclusive She-Hulk Showrunner Jessica Gaodiscussed Wong's online CV/LinkedIn Profile in an interview with The Direct. "That I actually have to give credit to our graphics team [for]," she said. "And I may be mistaken but probably Olney Atwell is the one that came up with that. I mean our graphics team actually… really paid attention to details and put in a lot of little funny jokes and bits that were really, really wonderful. But, we all just had such a laugh just imagining Wong, first of all, having a LinkedIn profile and having to put a work history. Any work history that ends with 'Sorcerer Supreme' is automatically chef's kiss… I love this era of Wong discovering and exploring American pop culture." Coiro concluded by saying She-Hulk's plot is "really about getting to know the characters" and letting viewers see the moments that they never get to explore in plot-driven stories. "So we tease Titania," she continued. "She will come back but she doesn't need to come back immediately, and that way we get to really get to know our characters." To say that the "gloves have come off" and the Fourth Reich has now revealed the Iron Fist withing is an understatement. While some are cheering the New Fuhrer and coming Great Reset, it's difficult for even hard-core totalitarians to deny where they're headed. But that does NOT mean that 'the masses' are finally beginning to 'get a clue'. Or does it? More importantly, will that make the real difference?

Gerry Angiulo and his brothers ruled the Boston mafia for generations. He was often stereotypical, He was loud and obnoxious, he was often cruel to the people who committed crimes for the family, calling them suckers. Gerry's big mouth was his Achilles heal and the FBI knew it. They installed an illegal wiretap at one of his bar's in the combat zone in the early 60's, this confirmed that Gerry was "The Man" in Boston. The FBI took its time, but eventually they focused on him and his brothers. Gerry had an uncanny head for numbers and he parlayed that skill to become the "underboss" of the New England mafia, however he had to become a "made" member of the mob first. The Angiulo's lead the mob during what has been described as the heyday of Boston organized crime, the amount of money Gerry generated for the Mob was unprecedented and will likely never be repeated. Today we sit down with actor Tom Pelphrey. What began as a sports injury, from a very short-lived high school football career, and a friend subsequently suggesting he try out for the school play, a perfect storm of influences and awakenings (and the power of encouragement) made Tom realize that he was good at something for the first time in his life—his natural aptitude on stage eventually launched him into a full and thriving career in theater, television, and film. Tom's work continues to captivate audiences, with roles on Cinemax's Banshee, Marvel's Iron Fist, Netflix's original hit series Ozark, and many more. From his first audition with casting director Alexa Fogel (where he didn't land the job), Tom explains how not booking the role evolved into a now 15-year working relationship with one of television's most respected casting directors. He shares how self-doubt and struggling with feelings of inadequacy accompanied him throughout his twenties, and how he discovered validation out of admiration, how to evaluate self-value, and the realizations that can only come from maturity and experience. We get to chat about the power of memorization muscle, soap stage stories, and how to navigate the tide of workload shifts, seen through his mountainous climb from one-take-wonder jobs to working under the guidance of an industry master, Mr. David Fincher. Coming out of “guest-star land” to becoming a series regular, Tom explains what it means to not take things personally and the importance of not attaching one's self-worth to the results. And of course, we get to gush about his experience of working alongside Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, where he has gleaned even more tricks of the trade. Tom even shares the daily practices he continually uses to remain grounded in an ever-changing industry, which is even more valuable given the nature of these unprecedented times—in fact, this is my first ever Zoom interview, making it not just an honor, but also befitting, that we get to retell the stories of adaptation and triumph that landed Tom Pelphrey right here.
