Hello everyone! Well, the Men Tell All episode is traditionally a big fat boring flop. But this year, ABC made it extra weird by interjecting a ton of product placement. Luckily, Some Guy in Austin is back to help me report on the major things you need to know. For example: Did the Sanderson Sisters curse Aven and Rachel's date in Salem? Is Roby more or less annoying as a platinum blonde? Is Logan a villain or just someone who is following his heart? Is Rambo still alive? And was that rhinestone lizard on Gabby's shoulder a nod to Bachelor in Paradise? Speaking of Paradise, that party gets started on Tuesday, September 27. Who's watching with me? EPISODE NOTES: Here's the recap for Men Tell All. It's our 75th episode bubs!! Join us as we talk about one of our favorite Marvel comics from 2008, the classic Wolverine story Wolverine: Old Man Logan by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven. Are we changing our name to LL Comics and Chronic? Did Anthony forget to invite Jake and Cody to his birthday party? Is Cody more like Doomsday or more like Old Man Logan? What if Goofy was Old Man Logan aka Old Man Goof? Would that make Mickey Mouse the Red Skull? Was 2008 the era of the edgelord? What would happen if the Absorbing Man absorbed all of Florida? Would Galactus be poisoned if he tried to eat Florida? What's the better Tom Cruise movie: Edge of Tomorrow or War of the Worlds? Is Cody bad at video games? What happened when someone robbed all of Anthony's Game Boy Advance games in middle school? Is Logan, West Virginia named after The Wolverine? Would Chris Benoit have made a good Wolverine? Would Brock Lesnar make a good Rhino? Should Paul Giamatti play President Red Skull? What is Dafoe Dong? Is Old Man Hawkeye more fuckable than Old Man Logan? Is Stephen Lang an all-purpose old man tough guy? Was Mysterio too OP in this story? Would Liev Schreiber make a good Ben Grimm aka The Thing in a Fantastic Four movie? Are The Punisher movies any good? Would Thomas Jane make a good Old Man Logan? Could anyone replace Hugh Jackman? What did we think of the She Hulk trailer? Is Logan the greatest comic book of all time or just sort of overrated? Mike and Raf discuss the film's legacy.
Jake Paul Says YouTube Is Harder Than Boxing Hard is subjective. When I had to make my bed everyday as a kid, I thought that was hard. Then it wasn’t. When I had to cut the grass every Saturday, I thought that was hard. Then it wasn’t. When I had to study for bs tests in college, I thought that was hard. Then it wasn’t. When I was trying to get into college basketball coaching, I thought that was hard. And it was lol But eventually it wasn’t. Because I work hard all the damn time. My hard work meter is maxed out daily. Ask any chick who is has dated me. Even if they hate me. They will still say “he has a great work ethic”. Most folks don’t work hard at nothing. They think they do, but they really don’t. Being told what to do isn’t hard, it’s dehumanizing. Dehumanization make people feel negative emotions. People associate hard work with negative emotions. “If I’m suffering, I must be working hard” No, you’re just getting ho’d all day and it sucks. Whether it’s a business. Or a brand. Or a child. Creating, guiding, nurturing and maintaining something from scratch, that’s hard. That’s what @loganpaul was saying here. Boxing by no means is easy. Voluntarily getting hit the in face? Fuck that. But when you are on that island by yourself trying to change the trajectory of your family’s ship, that’s a daunting task. What do you think? Is YouTube hard? Is Logan speaking the truth? Talking Through Here to Help On this episode 52 of Fear the Walking Dead Talk Through, Brian and Kyle are joined by our special guest co-host Mark from The Walking Dead Talk Through, as we talk through Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 1, which is titled, Here to Help. This was written by showrunners Ian Goldberg & Andrew Chambliss, and directed by Michael E. Satrazemis. SPOILER ALERT!!! SPOILER ALERT!!! The rest of this blog post requires a SPOILER WARNING!!! If you haven’t watched this week’s episode, then you should probably stop reading now. We are back, and we’re here to help you talk through Fear! We were fairly critical of many of the decisions made by the showrunners last season, particularly Madison’s death, and we had all sorts of problems with the second half storyline, to the point where I wasn’t sure I’d want to come back and podcast about the show. However, with the promise of helping people as a story in Season 5, and a really good trailer, we decided to continue on podcasting about Fear the Walking Dead! Where’d they get the plane? We see how far they would go to try to help people. They get a plane. Now, do we understand that Althea (and possibly Strand) are pilots, or did they read a book or play a flying simulator to prepare for the journey? That wasn’t very clear; and where exactly did they get that plane? How did they get fuel for the plane? Who knows. Maybe they will explain it next week. That said, it seems REALLY risky to fly a plane in the apocalypse, especially if you aren’t an experienced pilot. Why is it so hard to help people? One thing I had a hard time resolving is why they had such a hard time find people that needed their help. Helping a big group? Sure, maybe I can buy that, but I had a problem believing they hadn’t picked up any individuals to join up with them. Surely, after a few months, they would have had to run into someone, but they hadn’t. Is Logan a bad guy? I am really torn about Logan. If the denim plant is really his, then why shouldn’t he be able to take it back? It’s pretty clear it wasn’t a con job to me. He knew the combination and too much about the plant to think it could be anything other than what he said. Maybe in the zombie apocalypse, property and deeds don’t matter anymore, but I can’t really blame him for doing what he’s done, especially since he did it without any bloodshed. That said, why did it take him so long to claim what’s his? Did he have to send them so far away that they needed a plane to get there? Luciana hurt again??? She is not my favorite character, and a lot of people agree with me. I was surprised to see her start the season injured again. They had a great opportunity to kill off her character, so I hope they have something planned for her this season that will be worth it. To me, I had to wonder why they would injure her again. Why not someone else? What’s going on? I have to admit, I missed the symbols reference. It was only the mention on Talking Dead that alerted me to it. In case you missed it, too, those circle symbols on the paperwork were also on the helicopter that saved Rick, so they may be tied to the movies. It has to be. That walker had wires attached, and they tasered Althea, and then there’s all that radiation. I don’t know where this story is going, but it seems to be going somewhere. FTWD Ratings aren’t terrible… This week, FTWD ratings were off from both last season’s premiere and the finale, but ratings were at levels

still undefeated boys Sadly there is not a lot of big games in terms of playoff positioning this week, but there will still be some fun match ups. Arkansas has to beat Auburn, because I refuse to believe that Auburn is a talented team. Wisconsin gets another game where it must prove itself, this time against a struggling Iowa. Boise and Western Michigan look to remain undefeated. Louisville tries to avoid another potential upset, this week facing down NC State. Finally... Is Logan seriously picking Texas A&M to win against Bama? Tune in this week to find out.
Continuing the Marvel streak, Mike and Greg launch into a discussion about the Claremont/Miller Wolverine mini-series, having just revisited the work for the first time in years. Does it still hold up? What works? What doesn't? Is Logan dancing a jig in a bar while holding a man five times his size over his head? It goes without saying that these four issues cemented in the eyes of an entire generation of readers what was cool about Wolverine, Marvel, and comics in general. But what unholy terror of shortcuts did this work unleash upon the superstar artists of the “future”? Plus, we compare/contrast Miller's issues with the Paul Smith Uncanny X-Men issues that immediately follow them. Why did Storm go punk so quickly? What did Claremont and Miller do completely backwards that worked out so well? And why did a series literally built on evolution stop evolving so long ago, and who's to blame? Also, Greg takes a minute to ask the listeners to consider helping out Stan (Usagi Yojimbo) Sakai and his wife Sharon in their time of need by contributing to the CAPS campaign/art auction set up for their benefit.
