This is where I get to swap stories with people. I learn a bit more, we laugh at how we got to where we are now. Let's hang out and see where this leads!
2020 is an odd year. This is a chat with a dear friend of the show Jeff Latham.Freedom, rights, privacy and caring for children are all examined in this conversation. In a time when it is difficult to navigate through mixed signals, skewed if-not-false reports and muddy at best facts, we talk about where things are at the moment, and ways to improve the situation. This one gets political. More than ever it is important to listen to ideas and talk out our fears.https://api.spreaker.com/v2/episodes/30187180/download.mp3If you have a topic you would like to hear more about be sure to let me know!GoodTalkJosh.comjosh@goodtalkjosh.comFacebook.com/Goodtalkjosh

Antonio Baiamonte collects experiences not things.Bio-Monte.com offers unique and way more personal travel packages than you'll find on major travel tours. This conversation was recorded during the global COVID pandemic and addresses thoughts and opinions regarding the future of travel. We discuss how the travel industry may change and why booking more intimate experiences is to your advantage. Note that the Zoom recording has a few hiccups... my apologies. I hope the message still comes through.GoodTalkJosh.comhttps://api.spreaker.com/v2/episodes/27896882/download.mp3

I met Michelle at the Stillaguamish Genealogy Society to figure out what goes on!We all see these tv commercials showing people getting all excited when a leaf appears, but how many of us actually do some research? Turns out, more than I thought! You can dive into your back story and learn what struggles and successes came before your ancestors.Next week is one of the largest genealogy conferences in the area and it's hosted right here in our town!In this conversation, Michelle highlights some of the unique resources available at the center for newbies as well as seasoned experts. She was a wonderful tour guide through the many rooms and explained just how to dig in to the stories hidden in the archives. Some of the war documents are so extremely interesting! I could picture a high budget documentary special on them! The conference is August 14-17 which includes a free day Wednesday the 14th.Stilly Genealogy website ( www.NWGC.org ) offers all the speakers information and how to get tickets. Some interesting DNA uses in the world of genealogy piqued my interest.

More than just a head shop, 172nd Street Glass is paving the way to education, promotion, and innovation in the cannabis community. Jerry reached out to me after listening to the show and I'm sure glad he did!We discuss CBD and what rules surround the sale of it. He is clearly educated and informed on all aspects of the different styles and uses of the oils, edibles, and yes even suppositories! It's important to know what you're getting and what else is out there.Glassware is an art and there is important things to know before inhaling combustible material through it. Jerry walks me through the difference between a $20 pipe and a $3K piece of art you can smoke with also! From exotic sodas and funky foreign potato chips to stash bags and stoner luggage, 172nd Street has something that will surprise you. The staff knows their stuff and it's a pleasure walking in and learning.Thank you to Latham Realty UnlimitedThe Stilly DinerAll of the supporters on Patreon.com/goodtalkjoshplease subscribe, rate, comment and share!
Dale sat down with me at the Stilly Coffee House to discuss the first ever 10 Minute Walk-In Clinic.Early on in his adolescence, Dale knew he wanted to own the building down the street from his father's bakery, a few years later it was his. Later the vision of a new building right when a person drives into town became the vision, sheer determination during a rough recession allowed this dream to manifest.Very early on in our conversation he reveals how much a great mindset allows success to fall into place. These successes in turn allow his family to contribute back to the community in interesting and innovative ways. Dale is active in the Rotary and shares with me other major contributors and how fortunate this community is to have businesses that care like we do.Generic medication vs. name brand comes up and Dale sheds light on the behind the scenes business end of this practice. It leads into a passionate conversation I found to be super educational. It's a plot you'd expect in a mafia movie, or perhaps an episode of Black Mirror!10mintueclinic.comGoodTalkJosh.comLatham Realty Unlimited on Facebook The Stilly Diner on Facebook
American Cremation is a family business right in our backyard. You most likely haven't put a lot of thought into this business unless you've had to deal with loss, stress, and "the fog" of emotions after a loved one passes.Tari addresses the common questions and shares a few unique stories from her side of the service. She shares a few unique ideas of honoring your loved ones with glass, jewelry and more.I had never heard of comfort quilts before this conversation. I learned something new about the ferry system too! There are a few dos and don'ts while spreading ashes, make sure you take that part of our talk in in order to not ruin an already emotional experience.(800) 398-7101 is there phone number, and you will never get an answering machine or messaging service! Somebody with the business will answer any time of the day or night. Can you imagine???Tari also encourages you to shop around and find people you are comfortable dealing with. I doubt that you'll find a more caring and understanding crew than ACCA, but I truly appreciate the businesses that encourage this. It reassures me that they are proud of their work and understands they won't click with every customer. If you are intrigued by this conversation and would like to check out urns and more, I encourage you to check out the American Cremation Storehttp://www.AmericanCremation.comLatham Realty Unlimited http://www.Facebook.com/LathamRealtyUnlimitedThe Stilly Dinerhttp://www.facebook.com/TheStillyDiner
