Critics of private equity love to cite obscure or outlier stories of companies that failed and had private equity investment as some sort of proof for the evil of private equity. The arguments are as financially cogent as they are honest, which is to say, they are idiotic and riddled with lies. But in addition to the lies the Elizabeth Warren class tell about private equity all the time are the clear and obvious counterfactuals to their hideous narrative that they purposely ignore. Today, we are going to not ignore one such case. We are going to tell the story of Michaels, and explain why private equity derangement syndrome has to ignore this case, and the 90 percent-plus of other examples just like it. This episode is presented by Create A Video – Just one week after Democrats and media (but I repeat myself) attacked and ridiculed President Donald Trump for his election integrity speech, the Governor of New Jersey came out and announced that 6,600 illegal aliens were, in fact, registered to vote in elections. Gov. Mikie Sherill repeatedly blamed a "software error" but the vendor says it was on the state elections department to verify eligibility. It makes you wonder why Democrats have fought sharing voter rolls with the Department of Homeland Security, voter ID, the SAVE America Act, and... well... basically all election integrity measures.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-pete-kaliner-show--6946691/support.Subscribe to the podcast My preferred podcast platform: SpreakerAll the links to Pete's Prep are free!Get exclusive content here!Media Bias Check: GroundNews promo code!Advertising and Booking inquiries: Pete@ThePeteKalinerShow.com

Has communism ever worked? Conservatives say no. Democratic socialists point to countries like Sweden as proof that socialism has. To find the answer, we tell the story of one group that both sides of the argument fail to mention...a group that shows the answer is far more nuanced than either side often admits. Olive Garden accidentally entered the voter ID debate after requiring customers to show photo ID for its Never-Ending Pasta Pass. Conservatives quickly pointed out the irony: some say a restaurant requires more ID for unlimited breadsticks than some states require to vote. Senator Mike Lee, the RNC, and others amplified the comparison as the SAVE America Act debate continues. Remember: South Florida votes August 18th.

Why do the same conservative promises keep getting made election after election — while almost nothing actually changes? Today, I argue that the biggest obstacle to solving America's problems isn't liberal Republicans — it's the financial incentives inside the Republican Party and "conservative inc." All of the loudest voices on the Right earn their careers, audiences, and influence from maintaining the status quo rather than fixing it. Through this thesis, I examine a couple of major betrayals of core MAGA and conservative priorities, including immigration enforcement, COVID vaccine policy, judicial power, government surveillance, primary elections, foreign policy, data centers, and more. If you've ever wondered why campaign promises rarely become policy, this episode serves it up to you 100 proof. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
