“NOW THE boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. The word of the Lord was rare and precious in those days; there was no frequent or widely spread vision.” 1 Samuel 3:1 AMPC https://bible.com/bible/8/1sa.3.1.AMPC
Paul identified that part of his role as a minister of the gospel is the defense of the gospel. Do you consider yourself a defender of the gospel?
God can be trusted. That is the testimony I am sharing with you in this episode. Every word that he declares concerning you will fulfilled with time. His promise to grant your heart desires is not a vain promise. It is a sure. Believe.
Nehemiah, Job, Daniel were all put in difficult situations at different times in their lives but they never failed to acknowledge God and preserve their joy. Preserving your joy would require staying consistently in a place of worship and prayer. It is knowing that God is at work and recognizing that he is always the way out of the most difficult times. The enemy will attack your joy by planting seeds of anger, frustration and impatient in your heart you must therefore gird your heart diligently. Don't lose your joy!
Every word that God gives you is FOR YOU! It is for you to take action. No matter how much you explain it to people, they might never understand. Sometimes it is the word of instruction that is meant for that season of your life and if you go on to think that because others aren't accepting it then it isn't God then you are limiting God in your life. Daniel presents to us a good example of making choices solely for God. Our choices are reflections of obedience and consecration to God as well. So, choose this day who you shall serve.
“But Daniel determined in his heart that he would not defile himself by [eating his portion of] the king's rich and dainty food or by [drinking] the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might [be allowed] not to defile himself. [Num. 6:1-4; I Cor. 10:21.]” Daniel 1:8 AMPC
“Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself [disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests] and take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying, also].” Matthew 16:24 AMPC Have questions? “I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live” Deuteronomy 30:19 AMPC
“But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God). But if you are guided (led) by the [Holy] Spirit, you are not subject to the Law.” Galatians 5:16, 18 AMPC https://bible.com/bible/8/gal.5.16-18.AMPC
In today's episode i discuss three things that make you feel like you are not being led by God and how to be more conscious of divine leading.
If you must trust God then you must understand his nature as a shepherd who guides, shields and feeds. David knew God in this regard and he never lost a battle.
Prayer is more than asking God for things. It is not a loan request form that you fill just when you need a quick bailout. It is more than just speaking words, sometimes it is intimacy, sometimes it is silence. Today we explore the different sides of prayet and how we can begin to actively engage those sides. Be blessed!
If at any point in your life youbhave questioned the length of years you've stayed in on particular phase of your life, and wondered if you'll ever move to another level, then see what Jesus teaches us abour waiting for 'kairos-appointed time' in this episode of Jesus revealed podcast.
In John 5, Jesus sets an example of what true and sincere service should look like. He established service as an act of worship to God, a signal of obedience and an act done for the audience of one. In today's episode I unpack what each of this fold of service means for a believer today.
Again and again, Jesus shows us how to relate with people and with God. He showed us in John 2:23-25 that you can trust people without relegating God to the rear. He showed us that there is limitation to the trust in human beings. But with God, we anchor all our trust.
Jesus had just finished fasting and praying for 40 days when the Devil came to tempt him. We see how Jesus resisted the fiery darts of the Devil and countered him with his knowledge of the word, strong will and confidence in the promises of God. The devil came to tempt Jesus with the things God had already promised him, even things already in his possession. Why? In this episode, Jesus shows us how to win in temptations and against the strategies of the devil. He teaches us lessons on preparedness.
Growing up, I thought I knew Jesus from reading bible stories and being in Sunday School classes. As I started growing in my faith, I realized that there is much more to discover in my walk with God beyond just what I had learnt. In this first episode, I talk about knowing Jesus as a saviour, your own saviour and not just the Saviour of the world. We all get to that point where the question Jesus asked the disciples in Matthew 16:16 becomes our own question. The disciples had been with Jesus, yet they still had doubts, except Peter who said "You are the Son of God". I hope that this episode leads you to knowing Jesus on a personal note.
