In our final episode of this first season, we chat with the hysterical Emma Vernon. By day, Emma is an Integrated Marketing Manager at Viacom for Comedy Central and Spike. But by night, Emma takes the NYC comedy scene by storm with her hilarious improv skills. In Episode 5, Emma shares with us how she was first inspired to do comedy and perform at a young age by her grandmother. She takes us through her journey - first as an intern at Seventeen Magazine, then to her passion-defining experience training in comedy at an Upright Citzen’s Brigade class where she fell in love with improv comedy, to her first adult job at AMC Networks where she learned the magic of powerpoint, to her job now where she marries her love of comedy in her day job at Comedy Central & Spike, with her evenings filled with performing improv comedy in NYC.

This week we catch up with the always hustling TV Executive Maritza Chong-Qui. Maritza is an amazing woman whose talents span across the worlds of music, journalism, and comedy. She’s also a major lover of carving out Zumba-time and has a ton of pride for her college alma mater, Syracuse. In Episode 4,Maritza takes us on her journey – from her close relationship with her family, to her time in college radio, to her love of Miley Cyrus (which led to a surprise she will never forget), to bouncing around in the world of production before landing a life-changing job opportunity at MTV, and how she became the TruTV Network Executive she is today. Warm, intelligent, fun-loving and kind, Maritza was such a joy to interview!

In Episode 3 we have a conversation with the passionate, outspoken, and driven Talent Manager, Monica Villarreal to share with you! Monica is an energetic woman on a mission whose desire to make an impact on the entertainment industry started early when she enjoyed watching the TGIF line up, but noticed her Mexican American family wasn't reflected on her TV screen. She took that to heart and knew she wanted to help create change. She started by exploring the world of acting and then made the decision to shift her career to learn the business side, and now her work as a talent manager allows her to marry her love of entertainment with her socially conscious and active voice. In Episode 3, Monica is open and honest with us about her journey thus far. From her days attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts for acting, to her uncertainty about what would be next, to her big break entering into the world of an agency at WME, to her current Talent Manager position at Authentic Talent & Literary Management, Monica shares how she trusts her instincts, surrounds herself with people she can learn from, and sets goals for herself. Caring, strong, heartfelt and fierce, we learned so much from our conversation with Monica! So much so that someday when we have a budget, there will be t-shirts!
