Late-night sugar cravings are one of the most common struggles I see with clients. In this episode of Becoming Relentless, I break down the biology behind late-night snacking and explain why your brain suddenly wants sugar at night, even when you felt disciplined all day. Most people assume nighttime eating means they lack willpower. In reality, late-night cravings are often a predictable biological response to how the day unfolded. When you under-eat earlier in the day, make hundreds of decisions at work, or follow a highly restrictive diet, your brain and body start looking for quick energy and dopamine by the evening. In this episode, I explain why many high-performing women unintentionally create this pattern. Skipping meals, replacing food with coffee, eating very light lunches, and pushing through busy schedules can create an energy deficit that your body tries to correct at night. I also talk about decision fatigue, how mental exhaustion influences eating behavior, and why strict dieting can make sugar cravings feel even louder. You'll also learn what actually stabilizes evening eating. I walk through the simple structural changes that tend to reduce late-night cravings: balanced meals earlier in the day, consistent protein intake, strategic carbohydrates, and reducing decision fatigue around food.Late-night snacking doesn't usually mean you lack discipline. Most of the time it means your brain and body are trying to regulate energy and stress after a long day.If you're someone who feels completely in control during the day but struggles with cravings at night, this episode will help you understand what's happening biologically- and how to fix the pattern.Topics covered include late-night snacking, nighttime sugar cravings, weight loss psychology, nutrition timing, decision fatigue and eating behavior, dieting and cravings, and how to stop overeating at night. If you want help building a nutrition and training routine that actually works with your schedule and physiology, you can book a free consultation using the link in the show notes.Apply for coaching: https://form.typeform.com/to/chqUDr9g Book a FREE consult call with me: https://calendly.com/elenoa-mccabe/30minBEcoming Relentless IG: @becomingrelentless_Elenoa McCabe IG: @noamccabe_ifbbproBEcoming Relentless — new episodes weekly.#becomingrelentlessAffiliates: Ryze HRT + Bloodwork "NOA"Purefactor Formulations "NOA10"Free Spirit Outlet "NOA"The Shoe Fairy "ELENOA"#BEcomingRelentless #stayrelentless #ifbbpro #ifbb #becomingrelentless #podcast #contestprep #bodybuilding #BikiniCompetition #BodybuildingPrep #FitnessJourney #bikinibodybuilding #BecomingRelentlessPodcast #FitnessMindset #BodybuildingPodcast #CompetitionPrep #FastingMyths #FoodObsession #PrepMotivation #FitnessQandA #BodybuildingCoach #BikiniPrep #HealthAndFitness #MentalHealthInFitness #DisciplineOverMotivation #ReverseDiet #FitnessJourney #MindsetMatters #AthleteMindset #CoachNoa #RelentlessGrowth

This week we welcome to the pod the multi-talented Jordan Olds. Jordan is currently fronting the foreboding metal band Blood Vulture whose debut album, Die Close, came out last summer. Prior to that he struck YouTube gold as Gwarsenio Hall, the host of the twisted heavy metal themed talk show, Two Minutes to Late Night. Jordan introduces us to his dog Jinni, a 10 year old terrier mix whose notable bad breath never gets in the way of her making new human or canine friends. We get into Jinni's scraps with skunks, foster favorites and the surprising influence behind the title track Die Close. Jordan's shout outs went to the following three great organizations: Rescue Dogs Rock NYC who don't just save the easy dogs but focus on saving the more difficult, most urgent and critically injured. To date they've saved over 9,300 dogs. For more info on adopting, fostering, volunteering or other ways to contribute to their lifesaving efforts visit rescuedogsrocknyc.orgMuddy Paws Rescue whose mission is to build and support a thriving community of dog-loving humans dedicated to ending unnecessary euthanasia of companion dogs through shared learning and education, direct lifesaving, and continuous innovation. To adopt, foster, donate or get involved go to muddypawsrescue.orgYour local SPCA which includes Jordan's SPCA Westchester, one of the oldest humane societies in the Unites States today. SPCA Westchester serves more than 5,500 animals a year and is recognized as the largest No-Kill Rescue Center in the County. To adopt, foster, volunteer or utilize their other services go to spcawestchester.org or better yet visit their 27,000-square-foot Animal Rescue Center in Briarcliff Manor, NY.For more pics and clips of Jordan, Jinni and the 180 guests that came before them, follow the show on Instagram at Rockerdogcast

Welcome to "Ventilation Friday" on The Other Side of Midnight with Lionel, where late-night talk radio meets pure, unfiltered unpredictability. Join Lionel as he tackles the bizarre headlines of the week, from Ohio Bigfoot sightings and the rise of robot soldiers, to AI spying on your bank accounts and the reawakening of frozen brains. But the real magic happens when the phone lines open to the wild eccentricities of the listeners. Brace yourself for hilariously absurd caller confessions, including an "Out of Sync" house painter who was shushed by God, a notoriously forgetful limo driver, and an HVAC technician who survived dog attacks, shotgun standoffs, and the seduction attempts of wine-drunk suburban housewives. The legal drama between Leah McSweeney and Bravo just took a very public turn after a federal judge ruled her lawsuit against Andy Cohen and the network will play out in open court—not behind closed doors in arbitration. Meanwhile, Jeopardy! delivered a sharp pop-culture jab at Timothée Chalamet with a savage clue referencing his much-mocked “ballet and opera” comments. And Conan O’Brien is getting candid about the state of television, revealing that a viral moment on Hot Ones—not anything on network TV—was when he realized the late-night era might truly be over. Late Night talk shows are a unique art form that started with Jack Paar, Steve Allen, Johnny Carson and then continues today in whatever form it's in. But what made Carson special was because you got to see actors who weren't out there with the internet and take a look into their personal lives. In this episode, Jason Alexander and Peter Tilden sit down with Mark Malkoff, comedian and author of the book, Love Johnny Carson: One Obsessive Fan's Journey to Find the Genius Behind the Legend, and host of The Carson Podcast. Max will entertain us with several interesting stories about Carson and his time as the king of Late Night. Since Max is a also a self described "huge comedy nerd", Jason and Peter will get to share their stories about Carson and answer Max's questions about Jason's own late night appearances. This includes Jason's first time on Carson, being on both Letterman and Leno's shows, his experience with Craig Ferguson and his filling in for Jon Lovitz last minute on Conan O'Brien's test show. Something else you should know about Max; outside of being an author on comedy, Max has become well known for pulling off some incredible public stunts. These range from asking random New Yorkers to carry him to visiting 171 Starbucks to living in an Ikea to bringing a goat into an Apple Store. Of course we'll have a lot of questions. Today I'm talking with actor, writer, and lifelong comics fan David Dastmalchian. You know David from a ton of great genre work . He played Thomas Schiff in The Dark Knight, Kurt in Marvel's Ant-Man, and Polka-Dot Man in The Suicide Squad. And horror fans have been raving about his performance as the haunted late-night host Jack Delroy in Late Night with the Devil. But beyond acting, David is also a serious comic book storyteller. This week he's launching a brand-new graphic novel called Through, created with artist Cat Staggs. It's a haunting supernatural story that mixes horror, trauma, and redemption in a way that feels very personal to David. We talk about how Through came together, what it was like collaborating with Cat Staggs, and how comics have been part of David's life long before Hollywood came calling. We also get into his earlier comic work, the influence of classic horror and indie comics on his writing, and of course some stories from the sets of The Dark Knight, Ant-Man, The Suicide Squad, and the breakout horror hit Late Night with the Devil.

Bill is a trusted friend and source for me who I met after he listened and became a regular and highly respected caller of my siriusxm radio show. Bill is a voracious reader and listeners love to hear his take. I think his analysis is as sharp as anyone you will hear on radio or TV and he has well placed friends across the federal government who are always talking to him.
