Living It Up

Most things in life are learned and according to scripture that includes contentment. So that means you can do something about your happiness instead of settling and just going through life with no joy. It begins by asking God where you lack contentment? Discontentment is usually at the root of unhappiness. Today, we help you learn contentment. Philippians 4:11-12

Why not just keep it simple? God's help is available to you. He's just waiting for you to say to Him, "Not my will but yours be done." Luke 22:42

There are good, truth-filled thoughts to dwell on in spite of what's going on in the world in the world like "this too shall pass" and "no problem lasts forever"! Remember that difficult days and things can bring out qualities in you that otherwise might not have surfaced, like courage, faith and your need for others. We are all in this together and we are here to encourage you! II Corinthians 4:8-9

Remember, people don't care what you know until they know that you care. So if it seems others aren't really interested in what you have to say, we have some suggestions that can help. Inspired by Romans 12:15

Do you feel cut off from God? Frozen in your feelings? According to Romans 8:38-39 nothing can separate you from His "love" but one thing will frustrate your "walk" with Him. Inspired by Amos 3:3

Have you lost your spirit of joy? Does living in a troubled world make life seem like a game of survival filled with hard work and a daily grind of fear? Maybe it's because you are trying to do it all yourself. God is there for you and wants to help you gain your sense of purpose by re-connecting with Him. Psalm 121:1-3

Want to re-gain your courage? How about your self esteem? When you choose to avoid difficult situations, people or bad news due to fear, little by little you begin to feel small. Jeremiah 1:8 "I will be with you and will see you through."

Are you feeling stressed due to lack of balance in your life? Who doesn't feel pressure from family, over-commitments, work, finances, health, or lack of fun? It's been said that balance is something we are to strive for. But how? It starts WHEN we get our priorities in order. Scripture even says that God is a God of order so prioritizing is obviously the place to start. We look in the Word and discuss how.

Single or married this one is for you! Before we met we were blessed with wise, married folks who spoke priceless wisdom regarding what NOT to do in marriage! In fact, that wisdom applied to all our relationships. Our part was to ask for their help. It's tough living in a world that promotes marriage and families so today we discuss the importance of preparing for marriage FIRST in order to have the blessed marriage you long for or hope for the one you are already in! Colossians 3:15

We all want the same thing.To be loved and accepted as we are, right? It can be a challenge because everyone is different. But possible with God's help! So ask Him to grace you to see others and yourself as He does so there can be peace. Matthew 10

Hope. We can never hear enough about NOT losing it. How about you? We hope to give you revelation about hope not just more information. HOPE is not a "feeling." Feelings are fickle and they change with your circumstances. Hope is a "knowing" that gives you reason to keep going regardless of what you may not see! I Peter 3:6-7

You may not believe it or "FEEL" it but The Lord is with you and He sees your potential! Today we discuss why seeing yourself as God does is the 1st step toward your success, having hope, and believing in the possibility of freedom.

Do you have a difficult time asking for and accepting help from people? What about from God? Today we discuss the misconception attached to the reluctance. Not asking for help isn't always about not being a burden. John 4:10

Are you lacking self-control? It is a fruit, it's not willpower, and it isn't something you get by gritting your teeth and just saying "no." Today we discuss the fruit of self-control and how to receive it from God. Galatians 5:16-23

Can you not win for loosing? Are you in a dilemma? How bout an impasse? Does it seem like no matter what decision you make it will be a bad one? Stay encouraged. God can make a way even though there seems to be none. I Chronicles 21:13

Live and let live doesn't mean we condone someone else's choices. It tells us that everyone has the right to choose. Can you choose to show acceptance of others rooted in God's love in spite of their choices? Inspired by I Peter 4:8 and Romans 14:1-4

Because of the responsibility to important things in life like your marriage, family, job, or even drama have you always had trouble staying focused and even feeling guilty for wanting to pursue your gifts and calling? If God's plan for YOUR life is important then we have some suggestions as to why you remaining focused on it may be such a challenge and what you can do about it. Inspired by I Peter 4:10

We grieve because we loved and with others we can have hope from grief & despair. Love experiences the pain with those who are grieving. Today we discuss why “expressed grief” to God and to others is necessary in order to accept reality and enjoy life again. Job 2

Peace with God and yourself equals peace with everybody else! So if you find that the way other people live their lives dictates your mood and steals your joy peace may be what you're missing. Today we discuss Romans 12:18 which tells us that living at peace with each others is one of God's greatest desires.

People are watching. Your life that is free from bondage and reflects a heart surrendered to Jesus could be the hope someone needs to see to begin their own journey of discovering freedom in Christ. 2 Corinthians 7-10

Your answers just might be staring back at you! Today we discuss not being so focused & specific in your requests to God that you don't recognize HIS answers when they come. Matthew 18:3

We Play An Important Role In Each Others Lives. People can be our mirrors. Reflecting our better & worst qualities. They can be catalysts who activate wounded parts of ourselves that rise to the surface that we need Jesus to heal. They can learn from us too. So if you are impatient, offended or intolerable of others then we want to help you let them off the hook by realizing they can be your greatest teachers. Ephesians 4:22, Matthew 10:24, Romans12:3,

We need to connect with each other! In this podcast we will talk about why? If you just don't want to be bothered, afraid you'll get hurt or have decided you are better off alone, don't buy into those lies. Jesus loves you and wants His children to connect. I Thessalonians 5:11

Whatever went wrong this week you can do nothing about it now. BUT what you can do is make sure you don't repeat it again next week. Inspired from Philippians 3:13..."but one thing I do; forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which lie ahead."

i-Phone, i-Mac, Face book, i-Pad, etc... Technology is amazing and is used for many incredible applications all over the world. But it can never be a substitute for one BASIC human need. The physical touch between people. Let's talk about it.

Think your going crazy? Can't handle life? Well God specializes in crazy! He is with you and is determined not to give up on you! And with His persistent love you CAN handle anything the world throws at you, but you do so one day at a time. Philippians 1:2

Seek God's will first "before" your decision not the other way around. We discuss our own experiences of things that went array in our lives when we skipped this very CRUCIAL step! Matthew 6:33

The insanity doesn't have to continue! Once we let go & trust God with our life, the fear of it being destroyed is gone! His power is the ONE we can turn to for freedom from a life controlled by an addiction or an obsession of any kind. His healing love & power is the way back to a good life of serenity & sanity. I John 5:19

Loving them is enough! We can pray humility, peace and right thinking for those we love but we cannot force any of it on them. Their pursuit of wholeness and intimacy with God is between HIM and them. We want to help you determine who wants your help and who doesn't. For those who don't, there is no need to minimize your willingness to "just" love and pray for them. Until they are ready to receive, that's enough! 2 Corinthians 10:3-4

When you pray let this scripture be your guide: "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him." 1 John 5:14-15

Do you know the difference between walls and boundaries? One keeps people out. The other provides a way to say no with love instead of hostility. From our own experiences, today we will help you discover how to live protected but not lonely by setting boundaries instead of building instead of walls. Proverbs 15:19 and 15:22

The weekend is here and it's a great opportunity to connect with friends going through a tough time that you are estranged from. It's been said that people have lots of acquaintances and very few "true" friends...those who stand by you no matter what! So in this podcast, we talk about how with w/God's help, you can let the crucible of tough times be just what it takes to bring healing, gain peace w/God & show yourself to be a true friend, whether others do or not. II Samuel 15:19-22

Ever noticed that no one wants to be told what to do and rebellion is rampant in our world? What about you? Are you having trouble coming under authority? Of your employer? Ladies: how about your husband? How about God? So unless what you are being told to do is unethical, illegal or immoral, we discuss what's really at the root of your rebellion problem and how & why to submit ANYWAY. Matthew 5:16

When God's hand is on your endeavors you can crush the chaos of trying so many different things where there is no victory, grace, or success. So in this episode we give yourself permission to quit!
