    Keagan McVicker is a junior at HHS and will be a 2025 Raider graduate. During her time at HHS, she has participated in soccer and basketball. In soccer, she is a two year varsity letter winner, All-Conference recipient, and  captain of the team during her junior year. To date in basketball, she is a three year varsity letter winner, captain of the team during her sophomore year, two time All-Conference recipient, and Metro East Conference player of the year during her sophomore year. Keagan gives a great interview where she highlights her definition of success, coaches that have impacted her life, and teammates she has had that have allowed her to be a leader on the field and on the court.

    Brooklyn and Reese Keller are juniors at HHS and will be 2025 Raider graduates. During their time at HHS, they have played tennis. Both Brooklyn and Reese are three time varsity letter winners, playing at all different positions such as 4 singles, 3 singles, 2 singles, and 1 doubles. During their sophomore and junior years, they qualified for the state tournament in doubles, becoming the first state qualifiers in tennis in about 20 years. Brooklyn and Reese give a great interview where they talk about the friendships sports have allowed them to make and the role sports have played in their lives.

    Jed Carlson is a junior at HHS and will be a 2025 Raider Graduate. During his time at HHS, he has participated in basketball and soccer. Jed played basketball during his freshman year and has excelled in soccer each year in high school. During his freshman year, he played on the C-Squad and has been a varsity starter for the last three seasons and a captain during his junior year. Jed gives a great interview where he talks very highly of teammates that helped him improve in his leadership ability and coaches that have invested in his soccer skills and in life.

    Coach John Dewall is originally from Lakeland, MN attending Stllwater HS. In high school, he was a three sport athlete competing in cross country, nordic skiing, and track and field. After high school, he attended UW-Madison where he continued his nordic skiing career. Throughout this time, Coach Dewall was instrumental in mainstreaming the rollerblade, going from coast to coast with demonstrations. At 22, he was hired at Hastings HS, teaching agricultural science classes. Throughout his 44 year career at Hastings, Coach Dewall has coached a variety of sports, mainly cross country, nordic skiing, and track and field. During this time, he has multiple state participants and individual state champions in cross country, nordic skiing, and track and field. In addition to the individual champions, he led the girls nordic team to 14 conference titles along with 8 section titles with a team state championship in 1992. On the boys side of nordic, he has coached 21 conference titles, 14 section championships, and a team state championship in 1989. Finally, he has multiple US National Team members such as Torry Kraftson, and two future Olympians in Lindsay Williams and Dan Campbell. Coach Dewall gives a great interview that highlights how success is measured and really highlights all the coaches and athletes he has worked with over his 44 year career.

    John Majeski is a 2003 Raider graduate. During his time at HHS, he was a three sport athlete competing in football, hockey, and baseball. In football, he was a three year varsity letter winner and played a major role on defense and offense during his junior year leading the team  to the 2001 State Champions. In hockey, John was a three year letter winner and helped the team to a 4th place finish during his sophomore year. Finally in baseball, John was a three year varsity letter winner. After high school, John attend NDSU where he was a four year starter on the football team starting on defense but then transitioning to offense. After high school, John became a team before transferring to sales. John gives a great interview where he talks very highly about his coaches and teammates he played with during his time at Hastings and the role that Hastings and sports have played in his life.

    Coach Peter Schultz is a 2011 Raider graduate. During his time at HHS, he was a three sport athlete competing in football, basketball, and track and field. After college, Peter realized that teaching was the right fit for him and luckily, he landed a teaching job in Hastings after already coaching football for a couple seasons. During his senior year, he competed at the number 1 singles position, was voted captain of the team, was academic all-conference, and All-conference. In addition to sports, Alex was named the Triple A award winner for excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. After high school, Alex attended St. Mary's University in Winona where he competed in tennis and was named captain during his senior year. Even though she just started her high school career, she has participated in three varsity sports; soccer, basketball, and track and field. In soccer and basketball, she is a one year varsity letter and helped the basketball team to a runner-up finish in the conference. In track and field, she is a two year letter winner, 2 time all-conference recipient, a two time state entrant in the 200 and 4x200, and set the school record in the 100m.     John Paul Vaith is a 2007 Raider graduate. During his time at HHS, he participated in cross country, wrestling, and track and field. In cross country, John was a three time letter winner and two time All-Conference recipient. In wrestling, he was a five time letter winner, four time state entrant, and a two time state place winner taking 4th his junior year and third his senior year. John also lead the wrestling team to a 2nd place finish during his senior year. In addition to sports, John participated in many choir events and plays and was all-state in choir his senior year which lead him being named the Triple A award winner.     Jeff Taffe is a 1999 Raider graduate. During his time at HHS, he participated in hockey and baseball. In hockey, he was a three time letter winner and lead the team to a 5th place finish during his junior year and a 2nd place finish during his senior year. He was also named Mr. Minnesota for hockey during his senior year. In baseball, Jeff was a three year letter winner, leading the team to a state title during his senior year. After graduation, he attended the University of Minnesota for three years, where he started for the Gopher hockey team, and lead them to a National Title during his junior year. After college, Jeff had a long professional career lasting 17 years. Throughout that time, he played in Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Minneapolis, and was on the practice squad when the Pittsburgh Penguins won the Stanley Cup in 2009. Jeff eventually played overseas in Sweden and Russia before retiring.
