On January 20, 1994, in a small Vineyard church in Toronto, Canada a supposed outpouring of God's Spirit occurred in a small meeting of 120 people. Over the course of the next 12 ½ years, meetings would continue 6 nights a week, and Charisma Magazine reported that an estimated 4,000 churches in England and another 7,000 churches in North America had been impacted by this new revival movement. A little over a year late, on June 18, Father's Day, 1995, a similar revival broke out at Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, Florida. Over the course of the next five years, the church would open its doors for Tuesday-through-Saturday evening revival services to accommodate the thousands of people who arrived and waited in the church parking lot before dawn for a chance to enter the packed sanctuary, some even camping overnight waiting for the doors to open. Leaders of the revival would later estimate that over 200,000 people from all walks of life received Christ as a result of the revival. Some 13 years later, in April of 2008, a controversial Canadian faith healer began holding revival services in Lakeland, Florida. The revival attracted up to 10,000 attendees nightly and around 30,000 over the week. By May 29, it was estimated that over 140,000 people from over forty nations had visited, and 1.2 million had watched via the Internet. But were all of these recent “revivals” truly moves of God? How do we understand their impact? How do they differ from other historic revivals? What do we make of their controversies?
Traveling Nurses Hannah Nocella ‘20, Abbie Nilius ‘19, and Bekah Colon '19 didn't know they would end up traveling the country together when they started nursing school at Cedarville University. Hannah and Bekah met during their first nursing class freshman year, and the three of them have been inseparable ever since their sophomore years. The three nurses started their careers in Dayton, Ohio, working in progressive care, oncology, and pediatrics. They have lived together since their sophomore years of college, but recently decided to embark on a new adventure: travel nursing. Their first travel nursing assignment was in Lakeland, Florida, Abbie's hometown. During the summer of 2022, they took contracts in various cities in Ohio. Their third and most recent assignment is in Tucson, Arizona, where the three women are currently working at the same hospital. Hannah, Abbie, and Bekah recognize the great value of their nursing education at Cedarville University. Healthcare goes far beyond physical healing, and Cedarville prepared them to connect with patients and use nursing as ministry for Christ. The three nurses have continually sought the Lord's will in their lives and, Lord willing, will continue to travel together and use nursing for the glory of God.

UGASports RUMORS vs. FACTS is the show that brings you the latest on Georgia football recruiting each and every week. The show goes live on the UGASports YouTube channel each Monday night at 8:15 PM EST. Trent Smallwood joined me for this latest episode. There were lots of questions about visitors from this past weekend. Georgia had some key targets in Athens this past weekend in multiple classes. Trent and I shared what we are hearing about the prospects that attended and some that will attend the Auburn game. Duce Robinson was in town, and Georgia is very much so in the thick of the recruitment of the versatile tight end, receiver hybrid. Also, priority wide receiver target Tyler Williams is set to commit tonight at 7 PM EST. This figures to be a Georgia/Miami battle at the finish. Can Bryan McClendon close things out with the 4-Star from Lakeland, Florida? We gave the latest on that recruitment as well. Georgia running back recruiting targets, edge defender targets in the Class of 2023, and offensive linemen in the Class of 2024 are also touched on. Catch the full audio replay or video replay below. After a week-long sting operation, three people, including a firefighter and a cancer researcher, were detained for trafficking in human beings. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office began their undercover operation on September 12 with the stated goal of identifying those who "exploit youngsters for commercial sexual conduct." Jay Saxe, 33, was arrested the day after the inquiry began because he allegedly met a female he thought was 14 in a trailer. Saxe reportedly runs a Kona Ice franchise in Lakeland, as reported by the Sheriff's Office A man named Martial Boutchueng Djidjou, 44, was reportedly arrested on September 15. As reported by the Sheriff's Department, he went out of his way to arrange a meeting with a juvenile with the intention of engaging in sexual activity with her. The Sheriff's Office claims that Djidjou is a scientist at the Moffitt Cancer Center. On the same date (September 15), 50-year-old Brian Streeter was arrested after he allegedly made plans to meet a female he thought was 14 for the purpose of having sex with her for $60. According to the Sheriff's Office, Streeter was a lieutenant with the Pinellas Park Fire Department. Streeter reportedly started working with the agency back in 2003. After his arrest, he was supposedly released from custody. Pinellas Park City Manager Bart Diebold said in a statement obtained by WOFL, "When I heard about the heinous deeds that are being attributed to Mr. Streeter, I felt a great deal of sadness. He swore an oath to protect the people of our city and failed them by acting dishonorably as a public official and fire department head." To paraphrase Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister: "While these males may be trying to conceal their horrible life choices in the darkness of our town, our investigators are the beacon of light." In addition, Chronister stated, "Our detectives will continue to seek down anyone involved in this horrible activity and make sure they are held accountable." On Friday, the Miami Hurricanes will discover their fate in the recruitment of 5-star wide receiver Hykeem Williams from Ft. Lauderdale Stranahan. The class of 2023 playmaker is expect to choose either Florida State or Texas A&M, with Miami and Pittsburgh hopeful as dark horses. John Garcia Jr, director of football recruiting for Sports Illustrated, joins host Alex Donno to discuss the latest recruiting battles for Miami and their rivals. Will the Hurricanes land 3-star DB/WR Edwin Joseph from Chaminade? What about 5-star OL Samson Okunlola out of Massachusetts? Samson has been trending to The U for months. Is it Florida vs. Alabama for 5-star CB Cormani McClain or do the Canes still have a shot? Episode 62 of the WGI Unleashed podcast takes us back to West Palm Beach, FL, to get to know David Gerber, a Project Engineer in our Roadway (Transportation) division. David (aka Gerber to most) has been an integral part of the WGI team for over a decade and has had the unique pleasure of working out of several different WGI offices during his time here. Despite thinking we knew all of Gerber's ins and outs, we discovered during this podcast recording that we had only scratched the surface. We learned that he was born in Miami but grew up in the Lakeland area between Tampa and Orlando. Following high school graduation, he quickly booked it back to South Florida, where he first attended the University of Miami (UM) before transferring to Florida International University (FIU), where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. We listened while Gerber told us how a chance encounter at a wedding was not only how he ended up here with us at WGI but also what spurred his interest in transportation engineering in the first place. We learned that he primarily focuses on roadway design for public projects, handling the roadway geometrics, the phases of construction, and coordinating with all the other disciplines working on the project. Aside from talking about his career, we also delved into what Gerber enjoys doing in his spare time, which includes traveling

Broadcasting from the Free State of Florida where the UF Gators and FSU Seminoles both are off to roaring starts after exciting wins over big name opponents this past weekend. Hopefully they can continue their winning way all the way to the annual collision course at the end of the year for the soul of College Football in Florida. The Queen of England has died. She left a legacy of in the gift of swans to the city of Lakeland here in Florida. She seemed like a genuinely nice person. Two killers in Memphis target innocent victims this past week. The take home message: arm yourself against society's predators. Don't rely on the Govt, don't rely on the police. You are the best chance to save yourself and your family when or if these predators come for you. Guns are not the problem despite what the left-wing mayors say, but a gun could save your life. The pharmaceutical companies through their philanthropic efforts with the CDC are pushing people with misgivings to get the new Covid jab--that has been tested on mice; eight of them in one study had a positive response. People who have misgivings are being bullied into getting shots they don't want in an Ad Council ad. MAGA people don't trust the Govt because they think for themselves, and don't rely on being spoon fed drivel by the Establshment. MAGA is hated equally by establishment GOP and Dems. Ray shares the story of how the Lord reclaimed his marriage, the scripture that turned his heart toward the fringes of his community, his call to ministry, and how he came to study diversity in the Vineyard Movement as a doctoral student. He is the head Caribbean Missions Coordinator for the Vineyard Movement, and also leads a Partnership for an island in the Caribbean. Should the Miami Hurricanes be feeling more pressure after seeing in-State rivals Florida and Florida State both earning signature wins over the weekend? It's being argued by many in the Canes fanbase that Miami now has pressure to go into College Station and BEAT Texas A&M on September 17th after the Gators beat #7 Utah and the Seminoles beat LSU in their respective openers. Host Alex Donno argues that the internal pressure will always stay the same as far as Mario Cristobal is concerned. External results in games that don't involve the Hurricanes will not alter his mindset one bit! Donno looks back at Miami's 70-13 win over Bethune-Cookman and reveals six things we learned about the Hurricanes. It was great to see standout efforts from the offensive line and from receivers Xavier Restrepo and running backs Henry Parrish and Thad Franklin. Donno reminds viewers that Frank Gore Jr plays for Southern Miss, Miami's next opponent, and is probably their best player. Can Miami shut down the son of a Hurricanes legend? Donno shares a recruiting update on 4-star receiver Tyler Williams out of Lakeland. He visited Miami for the Bethune-Cookman game, and Miami is trying to sway him away from the Georgia Bulldogs. ...in which we journey into Romantic-era 19th century Lakeland to explore the roots of change in our relationship with trees. In the company of Dr Anna Burton, Lecturer in English Literature at the University of Derby, we embark on a heatwave-hued ramble through Lorton Vale to hillside-hugging Holme Wood above sparkling Loweswater. As we walk, we learn about the historic shift that gave woodland an aesthetic value; we discuss the great northern forests that Wordsworth lamented as lost to human hand; we hear about Wordsworth's love of – and talent for – tree planting, and the role he played in planning Holme Wood; and we consider how the tension between economics and amenity is still being played out in the wooded landscapes of Cumbria today. The Miami Hurricanes will get their first chance to impress class of 2023 recruiting targets on the field this Saturday. The Canes open up their season against Bethune-Cookman, and will have several recruits in attendance. 4-star DL Rueben Bain from Miami Central, 4-star WR Tyler Williams from Lakeland and 4-star running back Chris Johnson from Fort Lauderdale Dillard are among the blue chippers who will reportedly be at the game, per On3. John Garcia Jr, director of football recruiting for Sports Illustrated, joins host Alex Donno to discuss Miami's latest recruiting battles.
