Szemacs also notes how Jake Plata, his predecessor at Bryant & Stratton, and Ben Simon helped push his coaching career along since he graduated from Malone University. “Playing for Coach Scisciani was the big start for me wanting to pursue this after high school and after college,” Szemacs said. “Then between Jake and Ben, my career has taken off because of those people, and I give a lot of credit to them and the selflessness that they had. They didn't have to do what they did. and all that kind of stuff just is the reason my career is kind of taking off the way it has.” --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/baseballbluebook/support
