Exhaustion and excitement can lead you vulnerable to scams when traveling. I uncover the tricks of the tourists trade to better educate the traveler.

Being confined and quarantined is not fun, but can be a productive period if you choose. Do not let yourself slip into the depths of the internet, instead put your mind and body to work. You will feel better for it. I encourage you to use this time at home efficiently so that you will come out of it with a lifelong skill. Also, I talk about the most boring quarantine in my life.

Having done a destination wedding I give some advice on going abroad for your wedding. Any wedding has a lot to think about so I share my experience and some key details to consider.

Virus or not airline companies have to go by the rules. They do not want you to think they will give you a refund on a canceled flight, but they have to. I talk about my recent experience in fighting for my refund and winning.

The creation of an instant food with a long shelf life was no accident. Actually it sort of was! Momofuku was the inventor of the instant noodle process. His brands were Cup Noodle and Top Ramen. I discuss a recent trip to the Cup Noodle Museum and factory in Yokohama, Japan.

Hotpot is a staple Chinese dining experience. From to savory to volcanic hot, broths boil to cook up various meats and vegetables on the table. The origin of this style of dinning claims origins to the silk road. As merchants traveled and exchanged ingredients, they were thrown in a pot of oil creating China's favorite way social dinning. In this episode I record on location in Shanghai with a spicy version of the dish then finish the podcast in Tokyo with their version call "Shabu Shabu."
