"Home for Christmas" Series 12/24/2025 Matthew 1:18-25
Thank you for joining us for Christian Faith Center's Sermon of the week. This message is from our Nampa Location. Pastor Jordan Hodges continues our message series "HOME FOR CHRISTMAS"I see so much fear in the world today. This was true of that time as well! The coming of Jesus was an act of PEACE! It was God stretching out His hand to the world in the form of His son! It is vital that we learn to break out of fear and live in favor! Nobody overcomes the battles of life with fear! Just like the first Christmas, the temptation of this season will be to give in to fear.... When God has given us favor.

Not quite ready to let the holiday spirit go? Come join the Unqualified Observers, Kelham and Thomas, as they are joined by frequent guest Collin Miller. In the latest episode we sit down to discuss the Millennial holiday classic, "I'll Be Home For Christmas". Does this Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Jessica Biel film hold up all these years later, and how old are these "college" kids supposed to be? Only one way to find out and that is by listening to this fun episode. Don't worry, there are still plenty of the tangents that we know you love.As always, please rate, review, subscribe, and share this podcast to help it continue to grow and find new audiences.Contact Us: Email - unqualifiedobservers@gmail.comSocials - @observecast @unqualifiedobserversKelham - @coolgollumThomas - @stimpyisking

This week on So Many Santas, the So Many Sequels crew revisits one of the most '90s Christmas movies ever made: I'll Be Home for Christmas (1998) starring Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Jessica Biel. It's a chaotic, cross-country holiday romp filled with pranks, desert towns, stolen cars, questionable ethics, and one very committed Santa suit.Josh, David, and Garrett break down the film's wild energy, its strange blend of teen comedy and heartfelt family messaging, and why it somehow still works as a cozy December rewatch. We dig into the movie's surprisingly good pacing, its very 1998 worldview, the charm of JTT at peak teen-idol fame, and the moments that absolutely do not age well. (Looking at you, the entire college subplot.)From sand-dune sledding to the legendary Santa 5K showdown, we revisit all the movie's biggest moments and discuss whether it deserves a place in the annual Christmas rotation—or if it should stay tucked away with your old Tiger Beat magazines.

Catch the message, "Home For Christmas: Welcome Home" by Pastor Scott Jones. The birth of Jesus is the moment home came to us. The shepherds were invited in. The angels sang. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. In that manger, God welcomed the world back into his presence. Through Jesus, we are no longer far off — we are family. The story that began with exile ends with invitation. And everyone who responds to the invitation will hear God say, “Welcome home.”
In this Christmas Eve message, discover the hope of a fresh start. No matter your past, your regrets, or how far you feel from God, Christmas is the story of a Father who runs toward us with love, grace, and restoration. Jesus is the Ultimate Reset—welcoming us home, covering our shame, and reminding us that it's never too late to begin again. Imagine 43 families getting the best Christmas gift imaginable — their missing child returned home. Operation Northern Lights, led by the U.S. Marshals with dozens of partners, achieved exactly that in December 2025, rescuing children aged 1.5 to 17 from dangerous situations across 14 counties and beyond. In this episode, we celebrate the heroes, reflect on the risks these kids faced, and discuss the healing that comes next. A moving reminder that even in dark times, light can break through. Merry Christmas to ALL....!!
A JTT joint. This movie is an allegory for Chase's life. Doesn't matter how you do it as long as you get there in the end. For instance, you can lie about a young boy's liver transplant, abandon the pizza industry, have an ulterior motive to receive a classic car, or emotionally detach from your brother-in-common-law. It all doesn't matter as long as you arrive at home just slightly late. Merry Christmas Everybody!

Finally, as we celebrate Celtic Christmas, remember this: caring for the earth is part of the old traditions. It's stewardship. It's community. Clean energy isn't just good for the planet. It's a gift to our families and our neighbors. Solar and wind are now the cheapest power sources in history, yet too many politicians would rather toast billionaires by the fire than help working families keep their homes warm and their bills low. Real change begins when we stop letting the ultra - rich write our energy policy and run our government. Choose affordable, renewable power. Clean energy means lower costs, greater freedom, and a world that can still sing for future generations. Promote Celtic culture through music at http://celticmusicpodcast.com/. ALBUM PINS ARE CHANGING THE WAY WE HEAR CELTIC MUSIC I got an email from Discmakers, my CD manufacturer, saying they were forced to raise their prices because of tariffs by our president. This is a tax on Americans. So if you love CDs, remember that the prices will go up. So please support those higher priced CDs. But there is an option for those who don't want to buy CDs and for those who want a better alternative for the environment. It's the Album Pin. Album Pins are lapel pins themed to a particular album. You get a digital download of the album. Then you can wear your album. All of my latest Album Pins are wood - burned and locally produced. This makes them better for the environment. And they are fun and fashionable. During the busy Christmas season, it's always a joy to be able to go home and spend time with loved ones while celebrating the birth of our Savior. But did you know that in 1958, Dr. James Dobson almost missed his chance to go home for Christmas and survived a harrowing experience while serving in the National Guard? On today's edition of Family Talk, Roger Marsh shares Dr. Dobson's heartfelt and almost unbelievable story of how he was able to make it home for Christmas in the midst of a blizzard. Christmas is too important to breeze by. And yet many people will walk past the nativity story with its good and joyful news of God coming to man in favor of the world's trinkets and distractions. It is time we stopped and realized what the Christmas story is all about: the Son of God entering our world to be with us, bleed for us, and rescue us.
There’s beauty to be found in holiday traffic. Jim Daly shares why: All of those planes, trains, and automobiles are headed to the same place: home, and few things are as beautiful as being home for the holidays.
