Liz Callaway calls herself a “closet singer” for the first years of her life, as she says she was too shy to sing to an audience. She talks via Zoom to Aimie Cronin about what made her take flight as a singer, how she prepares for a performance, her career highlights and the TV show she made that won her an Emmy.   

Kereama Taepa speaks to Aimie Cronin on Zoom about what drives him as an artist, how he stays motivated to produce work, the themes he picks up and weaves through his art and the power of mediums other than the written word to communicate ideas.  

 Susan Rogers says her first calling to a career in music came when she was eight. She saw a picture of the sound engineer on a Sonny and Cher album and for some indecipherable reason decided that was going to be her future. In a Zoom interview from her home in Boston, she talks to Aimie Cronin about what makes a great producer, Prince and the future of music.

Toby Morris' work for RNZ and The Spinoff often takes big issues and makes them digestible. Mark Hamilton has been a Waikato-based photographer for more than 20 years. Faith Wilson completed a Masters in Creative Writing at Victoria University and in 2014 was awarded the Biggs Family Poetry Prize. Her work drills down on her life as a young Afakasi woman in Aotearoa (New Zealand).
