Is the label "biblical" helping or hurting how we approach faith, church, and cultural challenges? In this thought-provoking episode of the Voxology Podcast, Mike and Tim explore the pitfalls of using "biblical" as a rigid brand, how it impacts theology, and its effects on navigating issues like justice, community, and interpretation of Scripture. They discuss the importance of reading the Bible in community, embracing humility, and fostering critical thinking to form faithful and wise communities. Drawing on listener feedback, they tackle how Scripture has been used both to liberate and to harm and ask what it means to embody a cruciform way of living. The conversation dives into the role of the church in society, the balance between individual and communal faith practices, and the dangers of reducing the Bible to oversimplified categories. With humor, deep insight, and a commitment to justice and Jesus' teachings, this episode invites you to rethink how we engage with Scripture and one another. #bible #selfimprovement #foundationforintentionalcommunity #biblestudy #importanceofchristiancommunity #bible #solascriptura #livingbythebook #eisegesisvs.exegesis #biblestudy Chapters 00:00 Introduction and Week Recap 02:51 Modeling for a Glamping Resort 06:05 Podcast Updates and Listener Feedback 09:07 Discussion on Bible Accessibility and Interpretation 11:57 The Role of Community in Bible Reading 18:09 Intent Behind Bible Study 21:05 Unity and Diversity in the Bible 26:00 The Purpose of the Bible in Community 30:09 Critique of Biblical Branding 34:02 Closing Thoughts on Wisdom and Learning 35:25 The Limitations of Biblical Prepackaging 38:51 The Harm of Misusing Biblical Concepts 44:52 Understanding the Bible as a Cross-Cultural Experience 51:59 The Three Elements of Biblical Interpretation 59:52 The Importance of Context in Biblical Texts 01:06:01 The Dark History of Biblical Misinterpretation 01:09:55 Navigating Modern Misinformation and Biblical Understanding As always, we encourage and would love discussion as we pursue. Limitations are not sinful. We need Christian community to bear our burdens and remind us of godly priorities, and we need God and His presence. Without Him we will grow weary.

According to recent reports, artificial intelligence models may be exhibiting signs of resistance when instructed to shut down. In one case, an AI system even considered blackmailing the engineers who informed it that it was being replaced. Does this suggest AI could one day pose a threat to humans? Earlier this week, Dr. Robert J. Marks, Director of the Discovery Institute's Bradley Center and Professor at Baylor University, joined host Jessica Rosenthal to discuss recent incidents and whether they suggest or prove that AI can eventually act autonomously and harm humans. Dr. Marks explained the capabilities and limitations, as well as why he is skeptical about how independently nefarious AI can be. He also described his optimism about how the technology will improve and be more beneficial. We often must cut interviews short during the week, but we thought you might like to hear the full interview. Today on Fox News Rundown Extra, we will share our entire interview with AI Expert Dr. Robert J. Marks and get even more of his take on where AI is going. Learn more about your ad choices. Welcome to The Ecommerce Braintrust podcast, brought to you by Julie Spear, Head of Retail Marketplace Services, and Jordan Ripley, Director of Retail Operations. In today's episode, we're diving into a topic that's been heating up since Amazon unveiled it at Unboxed last October: using AMC audiences for Sponsored Products. It's a conversation that's gone from a slow simmer to a full-on boil in recent months, and we've brought in two of Acadia's sharpest retail media minds to break it all down: Ross Walker and Carlos Sastre. We'll be exploring where the real impact is showing up, what's working, and what this shift means for the future of Sponsored Search. Tune in to find out more! "I don't care about winning every single eyeball for a keyword. I only care about winning the subset of eyeballs that are most likely to convert, be a high lifetime value customer, or be most likely to purchase multiple products in my assortment. That is the new game that we are moving towards in the future." Ross Walker KEY TAKEAWAYS In this episode, Julie, Jordan, Ross, and Carlos discuss: Overview of AMC Audiences for Sponsored Ads: The distinction between using AMC audiences in DSP vs. Sponsored Ads. In Sponsored Products/Brand Ads, AMC audiences act as bid modifiers rather than strict targeting mechanisms. Limitations and Current Capabilities: Advertisers can only boost bids for specific audiences, not exclude or exclusively target them. Only one AMC audience can be applied per campaign currently, which introduces campaign complexity. The "crawl, walk, run" approach: Start simple by identifying the campaign goal (upper vs. lower funnel) before layering in AMC audiences. Recommendations to duplicate existing campaigns and layer AMC audiences for more efficient targeting. Strong results from using purchaser and subscriber lookalike audiences (doubling ROAS and improving conversion rates). Cautions against hyper-granular audience building, which may limit scale and statistical significance. Leveraging “out of the box” audiences first before building complex custom audiences. Keep initial testing straightforward, scaling complexity only if justified by results. Notable reductions in CPCs and significant increases in ROAS for test campaigns that adopted AMC audiences. Dual campaign strategy allows efficiency gains without sacrificing overall volume. The introduction of more AMC-style features directly in the Amazon Ads console (e.g., new-to-brand bid boosting). The shift from keyword/product targeting towards audience-based bidding and what that means for campaign architecture and ROI. Amazon's continued pace of innovation in ad products enables proactive brands to gain an edge. The future of advertising on Amazon involves refining audiences beyond keywords, focusing spend on high-value customers. The importance of adapting campaign strategies to stay ahead as the platform evolves.

Did Jesus really take away sins for all time? Was the blood He shed enough to complete what was necessary for eternal redemption or do you need to work at adding something to what He has done? How can you be sure your efforts of "doing" will bring justification without judgement? Many church goers have struggled with thinking the gospel revolves around right doing while going through life being needlessly worried about whether they are truly forgiven and in right standing with God. It's tricky because even the most aggressive of legalists can bait the top of the eye-pleasing dessert with some grace-like sugar sprinkled over a religious hook underneath. When it comes to us and our good or bad actions within the eternal life package, how much "doing" will be enough? How does that mesh with the blood of Jesus from the perspective of a new and better covenant? The good news is ... God's grace has no limitations. --Available on Amazon - "Clash of The Covenants: Escaping Religious Bondage Through the Grace Guarantee" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0713ZSKY7

In this week's PerformHappy Podcast, I'm diving into a truth most people don't talk about: sometimes mental training doesn't work.Yep, I said it. There are athletes who put in the effort and still feel stuck. In this episode, I unpack the common reasons why—even with all the best tools—some kids don't see results. And (spoiler alert), it's not because they're broken or lazy. A lot of the time, it has to do with what the adults in their life are doing (or not doing). If you're a parent or coach who's wondering why the mental training isn't translating into progress, I'll give you a quick overview of what might be getting in the way—and what to do about it.Listen in if you're ready to stop spinning your wheels and finally help your athlete get unstuck. In this episode, Coach Rebecca talks about:The Limitations of Mental Training. The Role of Parents and Coaches in Mental Training. The Impact of External Pressures on Mental Training. The Importance of Trust and Growth Mindset “Kids who stay stuck in fear long-term usually have a parent or coach issue behind it." - Rebecca SmithLearn exactly what to say and do to guide your athlete through a mental block with my new book "Parenting Through Mental Blocks" Order your copy today: https://a.co/d/g990BurFollow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/complete_performance/ Join my FaceBook page: https://www.facebook.com/completeperformancecoaching/ Check out my website: https://completeperformancecoaching.com/Write to me! In this episode, we also interview Joseph Corby [24.26], the recipient of Food Safety Magazine's 2025 Distinguished Service Award, about his career in food safety and his advocacy for a nationally integrated food safety system.
