Hello to you listening in Mumbai, India!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga.Walking the Camino de Santiago was miles and more miles. 500 of them. No matter how many I had walked, there were still more to walk. Uphill, across hot, dry plains, and then the rains in the mountains that turned everything to muck and ankle-twisting rubble. I kept hearing “Just goes to show you, it's always something! If it ain't one thing it's another!” a mantra about life from Gilda Radner's father, for her SNL character Roseanne Roseannadanna. The voice in my head asked: “Well, Diane, what did you expect? You're walking a pilgrimage. Beyond the miles are more miles.”A TIP: I had to learn that the way out is through. Stop thinking that you will enjoy a trouble-free pilgrimage. Dive into the audacity of what you've chosen to do! Let go of trying to get free of the aches and pains, complications, limitations, and disappointments. They are part and parcel of what you said you wanted: to be a pilgrim. These problems are the pilgrimage. Now what? How will you solve them? Don't just start over. Keep starting over. And then look back on what you achieved. Question: What do you do when faced with “It's always something”?Be well, do good work and keep in touch! You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, bring your friends and rellies, and join us! On this week's show we look at a technology that could end HDMI. We also read your emails and take a look at the week's news. News: Sony steps away from 8K TVs – for now Survey: Share of Homes With TV Antennas Falls to 19% DIRECTV unites streaming options under one name and price structure Peacock highlights cool features for mobile users Other: AUBESS Tuya WiFi 16A Mini Smart Switch Is GPMI the beginning of the end of HDMI? Over 50 Chinese companies including Hisense and TCL have joined forces to back an HDMI alternative called GPMI (General Purpose Media Interface). This new wired communication standard is designed to integrate multiple functionalities into a single cable, aiming to rival HDMI, DisplayPort, and Thunderbolt. The following are some key features: High Bandwidth for Data Transmission - GPMI Type-B: Supports up to 192 Gbps bandwidth, significantly surpassing HDMI 2.1 (48 Gbps), HDMI 2.2 (96 Gbps), DisplayPort 2.1 (80 Gbps), and Thunderbolt 4 (40 Gbps). GPMI Type-C: Offers up to 96 Gbps, compatible with USB-C ports, doubling the 40 Gbps limit of USB4 with Extended Power Range (EPR) under USB PD 3.1. Enables ultra-high-definition video - including 8K at 120Hz or higher, suitable for next-generation displays, gaming, and professional applications. Power Delivery GPMI Type-B: Delivers up to 480W of power, far exceeding Thunderbolt 4 (100W) and USB4 (240W with EPR). GPMI Type-C: Provides up to 240W, matching USB4 EPR capabilities. This eliminates the need for separate power cables - simplifying setups for devices like TVs, monitors, and gaming laptops. All-in-One Cable Solution - Combines video, audio, data transfer, network connectivity, and power delivery into a single cable, reducing cable clutter. Supports bidirectional data transfer - allowing devices to send and receive data simultaneously. Compatibility and Connectivity - GPMI Type-C: Licensed by the USB Implementers Forum ensuring compatibility with existing USB-C ecosystems for smartphones, PCs, and TVs. GPMI Type-B: Uses a proprietary connector, which may face adoption challenges unless widely licensed. Backward-compatible with USB-C and DisplayPort standards - easing transitions without requiring immediate hardware replacements. Universal Control and Device Management - Supports a universal control standard similar to HDMI-CEC, allowing a single remote to control multiple GPMI-connected devices Security Features - Integrates the ADCP (Advanced Digital Content Protection) protocol for secure content transmission. Supports daisy-chaining - similar to DisplayPort, for connecting multiple devices in series. Limitations and Notes While GPMI supports 8K video, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 can handle higher resolutions (10K and 16K, respectively), though without power delivery. Adoption is currently limited to Chinese companies (e.g., Huawei, Hisense, TCL), and global traction depends on integration into mainstream devices and compatibility with non-Chinese brands like Sony, Intel, or NVIDIA. The proprietary Type-B connector may face adoption hurdles compared to the USB-C-based Type-C variant. Commercialization is planned for Q1 2025, with consumer products expected by early 2026. GPMI's combination of high bandwidth, power delivery, and multifunctionality positions it as a potential game-changer, particularly for 8K content and simplified connectivity, though its success hinges on widespread adoption and global market acceptance.

When it comes to treating cancer, conventional medicine is good at cutting it, burning it, and poisoning it, but many oncologists fail to address the root cause. Join me as I speak with Dr. Nasha Winters, ND, FABNO, about the importance of a terrain-based approach when it comes to treating cancer. Dr. Winters shares the ten key elements of a patient's “terrain” that are crucial to preventing and managing cancer. We discuss the importance of listening deeply to the cells of the body (with labs, molecular profiling, epigenetic testing, and more), metabolically supporting the body's terrain (with a therapeutic diet, oxidative therapies, and stress reduction), and recognizing that the body has an inherent ability to heal. What you'll learn from this episode: Why addressing the body's internal terrain is not only critical in prevention but also in the treatment of cancerHow to address metabolic dysfunction Limitations of conventional cancer treatmentLifestyle strategies integral for not only prevention but also better treatment outcomesThe importance of emotional healing in the cancer journey& So much more!Send me a text! This episode is proudly sponsored by: SizzlefishLet's talk about fueling your body with the best nature has to offer. Today, we share seven key pointers to help you, as a horse owner, plan a parasite control program for your horse. In this episode, you will learn how to formulate a parasite program and how to prepare your horse for it. We will also explain how to schedule your program effectively and responsibly.Understanding the Role of Parasites in Equine HealthParasites can affect the health of horses significantly, and they can worsen problems in horses with ulcers, digestive issues, or chronic colic. So, owners should tailor their parasite management to suit the history and needs of each horse.Fecal Testing: A Useful but Limited ToolEven though fecal tests are helpful to monitor parasite loads, they should not be relied upon, as they do not detect every type of parasite, and they may not be effective when the parasites are in certain life stages or encysted in the gut lining. Living environments, pasture management, and herd dynamics can influence parasite exposure and infection risk. So, fecal testing should be part of a broader monitoring system that includes seasonal timing, observation of symptoms, and an understanding of the regional parasite risks. The Limitations of Natural DewormersChemical dewormers are necessary when dealing with high parasite loads, as although herbs and homeopathic remedies can support intestinal health and help preventinfestations, they cannot be relied on for treating active infections. Using only herbs in such cases may lead to severe or irreversible damage. The Dangers of Over-DewormingOverusing chemical dewormers could lead to parasite resistance and damage the horse's microbiome. Deworming too often or using the same chemical repeatedly allows the parasites to adapt and reduces the effectiveness of the deworming treatments. It could also add to the growing issue of parasite resistance across all animal species.Deworming StrategicallyStrategic deworming supports equine health and helps to reduce dewormer resistance in parasites. Strategic deworming means considering the parasite risk of your horse rather than relying on a fixed schedule, reducing the risk of over-deworming, and allowing the deworming drugs to remain effective. Factors like the age of the horse, its health status, pasture conditions, seasonal parasite patterns, and regional risks should all inform your deworming decisions.Handling Deworming Challenges In cases where horses are averse to oral administration of dewormers, training is the answer. Owners can work with trainers or use temporary strategies like mixing dewormers with foods the horse enjoys. When Is the Best Time to Deworm? To time deworming treatments, owners should consider seasonal parasite activity and fecal egg count results. In temperate climates, deworming in late winter or early spring helps reduce pasture contamination before peak parasite transmission in late summer and early fall. Avoid treating during extreme heat or cold when parasites are less active. Some owners prefer to deworm just before or after the full moon, but there is no scientific evidence proving the effectiveness of that.Strengthening the Hindgut and Immune SystemA healthy gut creates an environment less hospitable to parasites. Supporting digestive immunity with good nutrition and high-quality probiotics helps fortify horses, supports their overall health, and reduces their susceptibility to infestations.Links and resources:Connect with Elisha Edwards on her website Join my email list to be notified about new...

Are you living to survive or are you living to thrive? The more attached we are to our identities, beliefs, roles, possessions, stories, etc., the more we're throttled into survival mode. Freeing ourselves to thrive, then, is a matter of lovingly letting go of and loosening our grip on the ego's most engrained attachments. Kasey D'Amato's experience goes from launching a dermatology division and founding a global skincare brand to building a multi-seven-figure real estate portfolio. In this episode, Kasey shares her insights on how leaders can avoid burnout, overcome stagnation, and create a life that aligns with their true purpose. She introduces her Holistic Leadership Mastery™ Framework, which breaks leadership into four essential quadrants and explains why so many leaders feel overwhelmed despite their achievements. We discuss why leaders should periodically disconnect, how to recalibrate every 90 days, and the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people. She also shares her personal story of career reinvention, going from a physician assistant to a business leader and leadership coach. Kasey emphasizes that many successful professionals eventually feel stuck, questioning, "What's the point?" even when they have achieved financial success. She explains how leaders can overcome this by focusing on emotional intelligence, resilience, and self-awareness. Kasey also talks about how leaders can break free from self-imposed limitations. She also discusses the importance of regularly evaluating time and energy allocation, challenging leaders to reassess 20% of their calendars every 90 days. Whether you're thinking about a career pivot or struggling with burnout, this episode provides actionable insights to help you lead a fulfilling life. Key Takeaways [02:12] Kasey and her husband rescue and rehabilitate large dogs with difficult pasts. She finds that this requires calm, confident leadership, much like business leadership. [04:20] Many leaders neglect their personal well-being, relationships, and joy. Kasey's framework breaks leadership into four quadrants: business acumen, self-leadership, team leadership, and industry leadership. A strong leader balances all four. [06:58] Kasey agrees that leaders often misallocate time and energy. Most spend too much time on tasks that don't drive results. She recommends reviewing time allocation every 90 days to ensure alignment with goals. [08:24] Leaders often focus solely on strengths but may ignore personal weaknesses that could limit them in the long run. Kasey believes that while focusing on strengths is good, leaders should also be aware of what they are neglecting and consciously decide how to balance priorities. [14:15] She felt she had mastered her previous roles and began asking, “Is this all there is?” She realized she wanted to impact others in a broader way, leading her to reinvention. [19:21] Kasey advises completely disconnecting from routine for at least a week (ideally out of the country) to gain clarity. It takes about five days for the mind to stop focusing on daily work and start thinking about bigger questions like “Am I happy?” [24:35] Leaders often avoid tough decisions or self-improvement. Kasey recommends surrounding yourself with three types of accountability partners: mentors, peers, and direct reports. [28:34] Kasey plays the “What If” game with clients. If they say they don't have time or money, she asks, “What if you did? What would you do differently?” This helps reverse engineer solutions and uncover creative options. [35:59] And remember, “When you have balance in your life, work becomes an entirely different experience. There is a passion that moves you to a whole new level of fulfillment and gratitude, and that's when you can do your best for yourself and for others.” - Cara Delevingne Quotable Quotes “Am I happy? Is this the life I dreamed of?” “We are our own problem. Look in the mirror.” “If you don't believe in yourself, no one else will.” “You need to recalibrate your time and energy every 90 days.” “The first step to resilience is awareness. Just being aware changes everything.” “What if you did have time? What would you do differently?” “I'm the queen of reinvention.” “Confidence is critical. If you don't believe in yourself, nobody else will.” Resources Mentioned The Leadership Podcast | Sponsored by | Rafti Advisors. LLC | Self-Reliant Leadership. Key Takeaways: 1.Volatility Isn't the Same as Risk Volatility means prices are changing a lot—up and down. Risk is the chance of losing money permanently. Just because something is bouncing around doesn't mean it's dangerous—it could be an opportunity. 2. Math Doesn't Tell the Whole Story Many investors use formulas to try to predict risk. But markets are influenced by people's feelings, news, and unexpected events—things math can't fully capture. So, relying only on numbers can cause people to miss the bigger picture. 3. Smart Investors Use Volatility to Win When prices drop suddenly, good investors look for great companies that are now “on sale.” They buy low when others are scared and sell high later when the price recovers. 4. A Real-Life Example: MSTR Stock The stock for MicroStrategy (MSTR) went through big price swings. Investors who understood this and bought when it was down saw big gains as the price later shot up. 5. Volatility = Growth Without price changes, there would be no chance to “buy low and sell high.” Volatility keeps the market moving and opens doors for financial growth over time. I always thought my routine made me productive, but it turns out, it's quite limiting. About two years ago, White Light asked me to break up my routine and I did. This led to a big shift in my perspective. We also did a Dead Talk right after for our Unimaginable Life podcast and they also talked about how a routine becomes blinding. It's an interesting subject, plus a lot of great questions as always. An Unimaginable Life Podcast Get the new Manifestation Event form here. Take the Life-Area perspective quiz.

This 8-week randomized controlled trial looked at how eating either high or low protein influenced muscle gain, fat gain, and strength in women training for physique competition. Despite eating more calories, the high-protein group experienced a shocking amount of muscle gain and fat loss. The findings challenge conventional bulking and cutting wisdom and highlight the power of protein for female body recomposition.

In this fascinating episode, we dive deep into the race towards true AI intelligence, AGI benchmarks, test-time adaptation, and program synthesis with star AI researcher (and philosopher) Francois Chollet, creator of Keras and the ARC AGI benchmark, and Mike Knoop, co-founder of Zapier and now co-founder with Francois of both the ARC Prize and the research lab Ndea. With the launch of ARC Prize 2025 and ARC-AGI 2, they explain why existing LLMs fall short on true intelligence tests, how new models like O3 mark a step change in capabilities, and what it will really take to reach AGI.We cover everything from the technical evolution of ARC 1 to ARC 2, the shift toward test-time reasoning, and the role of program synthesis as a foundation for more general intelligence. The conversation also explores the philosophical underpinnings of intelligence, the structure of the ARC Prize, and the motivation behind launching Ndea — a ew AGI research lab that aims to build a "factory for rapid scientific advancement." Whether you're deep in the AI research trenches or just fascinated by where this is all headed, this episode offers clarity and inspiration.NdeaWebsite - https://ndea.comX/Twitter - https://x.com/ndeaARC PrizeWebsite - https://arcprize.orgX/Twitter - https://x.com/arcprizeFrançois CholletLinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/fcholletX/Twitter - https://x.com/fcholletMike KnoopX/Twitter - https://x.com/mikeknoopFIRSTMARKWebsite - https://firstmark.comX/Twitter - https://twitter.com/FirstMarkCapMatt Turck (Managing Director)LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/turck/X/Twitter - https://twitter.com/mattturck(00:00) Intro (01:05) Introduction to ARC Prize 2025 and ARC-AGI 2 (02:07) What is ARC and how it differs from other AI benchmarks (02:54) Why current models struggle with fluid intelligence (03:52) Shift from static LLMs to test-time adaptation (04:19) What ARC measures vs. traditional benchmarks (07:52) Limitations of brute-force scaling in LLMs (13:31) Defining intelligence: adaptation and efficiency (16:19) How O3 achieved a massive leap in ARC performance (20:35) Speculation on O3's architecture and test-time search (22:48) Program synthesis: what it is and why it matters (28:28) Combining LLMs with search and synthesis techniques (34:57) The ARC Prize structure: efficiency track, private vs. public (42:03) Open source as a requirement for progress (44:59) What's new in ARC-AGI 2 and human benchmark testing (48:14) Capabilities ARC-AGI 2 is designed to test (49:21) When will ARC-AGI 2 be saturated? FLOW SPACE 14 157 JUDGEMENT = LIMITATIONS Join us as we discuss behavioral patterns and how to rewrite them, what answered prayers actually look like, growth, attachments, miracles and more! We share how repeating cycles is mindless as it doesn't require any effort whereas change is a conscious choice. In life how many times does it take us repeating the same things before we finally look at it and make a change? Moments asking for change are answered prayers. In decision making when we resort to our past memories it makes us comfortable to choose the same thing, instead let's walk in the unknown by trusting in the present moment. We don't have to continue living through old patterns just because they're familiar and comfortable. Witness the moment for what it is without adding narratives and judgments to it. Choose to move forward. How can we recognize when we're in a moment that offers us the chance to choose growth?Tune in to hear what it looks like in process as Diandra shares a tangible experience as an example and hear Jerika share her experience highlighting what happens when you choose change! As you tune in, you will tap into our shared frequency through the activations spoken in our words. Throughout the season of Lent, we're releasing weekly episodes focused on spiritual practices. We live in an age of speed and overwhelm, where we often feel we are expected to do more, move faster, work harder, brush past boundaries and limits, and shave margins. When we inevitably fail to meet all demands, we are left feeling not only exhausted, but often diminished."Part of what you start to see is ... our limits ... is actually what fosters our relationship with God, with others, even with the earth ... it's the stuff of life." But what if, instead of seeing our limitations as an impediment, we could learn to view them as a blessing, even a gift? In You're Only Human, theologian and scholar Kelly Kapic provides a theologically grounded approach to understanding and receiving the gift of our human finitude. He offers us a way to find joy and relief in our incarnational limits and use them to foster greater freedom, spiritual growth, and deeper community. This podcast is drawn from our Online Conversation from December 2022. Why do children create fearlessly while professional producers get stuck staring at blank DAW sessions? In this insightful conversation, Ben and Carl explore the counterintuitive truth that creative freedom comes from embracing constraints, not avoiding them. From Sufjan Stevens' state-themed albums to the natural evolution of decision-making throughout the production timeline, they reveal how limitations spark inspiration rather than stifle it. Whether you're battling decision paralysis with 87,000 clap samples or struggling to maintain a social media presence, this episode offers practical approaches to turning constraints into catalysts for your best work.Discover:How constraints unlock creativity rather than limit itWhy limitless possibilities lead to decision paralysisPractical constraint methods for both music and businessThe natural evolution of constraints throughout the production timelineDecision-making confidence across different creative domainsThe value of deliberate practice in building decisivenessBen and Carl's Weekly Inspiration Playlist - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1IpnxDVoTY44JBV1j19H4h?si=0f80e020d8ae497eLA Wildfire Relief:Musicares - https://donor.musicares.org/page/lafirereliefWAMTN - https://give.wearemovingtheneedle.org/campaign/654724/donateLearn more about StudioLand - https://www.welcometostudioland.com/a/2147995182/bmyFf8p5Download our free guide: "The Future-Proof Mixing Engineer: 8 Essential Skills for 2024 and Beyond" - https://mpe-ebook.benwallick.com/future-proof-mixingConnect with us:Secret Sonics - https://www.instagram.com/secretsonicsBen - https://www.instagram.com/benwallickmusic/Carl - https://www.instagram.com/carlbahner/Learn more:https://www.benwallick.com/https://www.carlbahner.com/This episode with edited by Gavi Kutliroff - https://www.instagram.com/pleasant_peasant_music/
