For the first time, a novel in the Reacherverse will not be about Reacher himself. Frances Neagley is getting her time in the spotlight, with both a new spinoff television show, and two new thrillers focused on her. Author Lee Child is thrilled by the success and popularity the screen adaptation of his work has found – especially since it's now getting a spinoff. "I'm so pleased about the spinoff because Maria [Sten] is just fantastic," Child told Mike Hosking. "She's a great actor, but she's a lovely person as well." In fact, it was Sten's performance and the writing of the character in the show that led to the new series being written at all, as it filled in the gaps in Neagley's character Child was struggling with. "I never really developed her as a character, you know, to me she lived in the present. I had no idea of her past, I had no idea of her future," he told Hosking. "They answered the questions that I couldn't answer for myself," The first book, 'Zero Margin', is being co-written with Yasmin Angoe, a critically acclaimed thriller author, in order to give the Neagley series a distinctive voice from Reacher. After a flurry of speculation, Nicky Hager last night launched Dirty Work: The Taxpayers' Union and the New Zealand Hard Right, which he called a sequel of sorts to The Hollow Men of 2006 and Dirty Politics (2014).Hager did not approach those he wrote about for comment, in keeping with what he called his “operational approach, saying that books are “uniquely vulnerable” to tactics to prevent publication. It did not take long, however, for those who are featured in the book to challenge the veracity of its contents, as well as the methodology. The Reacherverse has expanded. Neagley, a spinoff of the Reacher TV series, is cantered around the character of Frances Neagley, whose popularity in season one saw her written into the following seasons as well. It has a darker tone than the original show, and stars Maria Sten and Greyston Holt as Neagley and Detective Hudson Riley. The first season was released after the Reacher season four finale, and Sten says in a lot of ways, the show is everything she thought it would be. "You never know how these things are going to unfold and whether it works, but I do feel that for a first season of a spin-off, I couldn't have asked for better," she told Mike Hosking. "I'm really proud of the show." Her co-star Grayston is also thrilled with how the show turned out, telling Hosking he was incredibly proud of everyone involved. "I think it's such a dynamic show. La 6x03 di Spin-Off è interamente dedicata ai risultati della 78ª edizione dei Primetime Emmy Awards. Partiamo dai numeri: Apple TV chiude davanti a tutti con 28 vittorie, superando HBO Max a 21 e Netflix a 16. Ma più della metà dei premi Apple arrivano da un solo titolo: Widow's Bay. More meth and MDMA was uncovered in the first six months of roadside drug testing than cannabis, according to new reports. Police data shows just over three percent of saliva tests came back positive, out of more than 4,000 conducted by officers. The Spinoff reports in nine of the 13 police districts, meth and MDMA was detected as frequently or more frequently in drivers than cannabis. Drug Detection Agency head Glenn Dobson says that's higher than expected. "Meth was increasing from a workplace drug testing perspective - and that creates some huge safety problems, both on the road and in the workplace, but we normally see cannabis at a higher rate."
