I really enjoyed Sarah Pearse's debut novel, The Sanitorium. Though I was not happy with the "why," I was left intrigued by its ending and was very much looking forward to her second novel, The Retreat. If you're looking for that ending to resolve itself in this book, you will be disappointed. If you're looking for a fast-paced "who dunnit," you might be OK. It was a 3-star from me.
