Strictly Prohibited aims to create a community where all can come and enjoy talking about the difficult conversations that society does not want us to have. Together, this community can bring down the barriers that politically correct filters continue to place on tough topics. Join me on the road to bringing people together by creating a bond that builds communities not tears them apart.
Times continue to change at the Strictly Prohibited community! We have some breaking news that we wanted to share with you all on this week’s episode. There will be a new addition to the podcast and a slight change to the current show structure. We want to move into a more factual style of episode and include opinion based perspective as we see fit. Continuing on with the current political correctness topics, this week Vick and Ian talk about the president’s decision to allow female Generals to lead combatant forces. This show aims to bring a safe environment to talk about the difficult conversations that society does not let us have while also maintaining respect for one another. If you enjoy these topics or want to know more of the community please reach out to us at strictlyprohibited3@gmail.com. Don’t forget to subscribe and share!
Welcome back to the Strictly Prohibited podcast! This week we have a brand new guest that will help us kick off the new segment we added to our weekly shows. In addition to the new segments we have a brand new perspective on political correctness. You can tell that Frank was apprehensive about engaging in this topic but was surprised how easy it was to have these conversations. The mutual respect that the people of this community have for one another goes beyond the political correctness barriers. If you agree, disagree or don’t care just send us a message and let us know what you think (or don’t think) about this topic. We’d love to hear from you just send us an email at strictlyprohibited3@gmail.com
Are you a zombie? In this week’s cast Vick and Ian introduce this concept of philosophical zombies. This episode was inspired by David Chalmers who is a leader in the philosophy of consciousness and explains what a philosophical zombie is. However, the Strictly Prohibited community wanted to bring up some parallels between this concept and how we are becoming blind to the world around us. We find our communities married to their phones, computers and video games. Much like philosophical zombies, we begin to lose our subjective experience when we fall victims to the power of technology. If you agree, disagree or don’t care just send us a message and let us know what you think (or don’t think) about this topic. We’d love to hear from you just send us an email at strictlyprohibited3@gmail.comDavid Chalmers Interview - https://youtu.be/NK1Yo6VbRoo
Welcome new year! 2021 has already proved to be a continuation of 2020 but here at the Strictly Prohibited community we are optimistic that it can only get better. The great thing about being down and out is that you can only go up from there. We want to welcome everyone back to the community. It certainly has been a rocky road for us these last few months but tune in to this week’s show to find out how our hosts, Vick and Ian, plan to make the podcast better. This week will be a light reintroduction of the podcast and it’s new structure but don’t miss out on the difficult topics that are to come! Please reach out to us at strictlyprhobited4@gmail.com if you have any questions or if we’ve inspired you to engage in difficult topics with those around you. Do not let political correctness filters stop you from being social.
Welcome back to the strictly Prohibited Podcast! We certainly have had our fair share of challenges here at the SP community but we are glad to be back this new year! This first topic we recorded last year but is very important to us. It is safe to assume that everyone has a different perspective of education and on this week’s episode we’ll discuss what we think on this subject. We have a returning guest, the great Brandon, who is also a student on the show to provide his take on today’s social impact on Education. We challenge you to come into the show with an open mind as some of these topics may be emotionally charged and could affect different people in different forms. However, this is not to say we should not hold these conversations but find better ways to approach them. We’d love to hear how we’re doing so send us an email at strictlyprohibited3@gmail.com if we challenged or changed the way you perceive certain topics.
It is safe to assume that every American has or will have a run in with the demanding force that is OSHA. This week on the Strictly Prohibited podcast we welcome back our very first guest to come on the show, Mike aka Mags, to share our thoughts on OSHA. This entity seems to have too much control over everything we do in the workplace. What started out as a way to minimize workforce accidents is now turning into outdated procedures that do not apply to the rising tech field. Not to mention the changing social environment that we now live in does not fit with the morals and ethics of the 70's. We wanna share our thoughts as they pertain to our current environment and ways we can improve. After a deep discussion we realize that OSHA and other similar entities have such an influence on the country as a whole that we need to voice our concerns and fight for a positive change. We must ensure that the policies and procedures are the best for our industries and realize that we can say no if these very same policies do not align specifically with our situations. Safety has to be specific and dummy proof at every level to ensure we really are giving employees the best chance of minimizing accidents. If you want to share an experience or think that we missed something on this topic, feel free to email us at strictlyprohibited3@gmail.com.
The Strictly Prohibited community wants to bring up a very important topic that is causing chaos in social groups all over America. The 2020 presidential race is coming to an end and our communities still have issues that need solving. Let us not wait for politicians to respond but instead let us come together to brainstorm ideas for a way forward. Our day to day lives will not be changed by the person who sits in the President's chair. It doesn't matter who you voted for; the only thing that matters is that you do not become part of the problem. The problem of social division that is tearing us apart. We, at the Strictly Prohibited podcast, want everyone to know that they are welcome to be part of our community despite what your views may be. We are all citizens of this planet and together we CAN come up with real solutions! Be sure to stay tuned every Thursday for a new episode. Much love and God Bless you all!
Genetics, diets, and gym. What really defines us as healthy? With the rising number of harmful substances in everyday life we have to wonder how healthy we are as individuals. On this week's podcast Will and Dave join us to recap our short series on health and fitness. We live in a very health driven environment which is good but a bit intimidating at times. There is an overwhelming pressure to look good and compete with those social media influencers who seem to have it all. The reality is that not everyone's priorities are the same. When one individual can dictate more time to the gym, there is another individual who would much rather spend the time with family. Being healthy is certainly a personal choice that involves a great commitment but as we have seen, it can reduce the effect of mental health and behavioral issues. With COVID taking over 2020 we need to be mentally resilient and able to maintain our cool through our periods of quarantine. If you think you want to be healthy but don't know how to go about it, feel free to send us an email at strictlyprohinited3@gmail.com. We may not have all the answers but we love to surround ourselves with people who do and we would be more than happy to assist you in any way.
It comes to no surprise that we continue to see obesity as one of the top killers of Americans . It has become popular in today's culture to "show off" or display delicious gourmet meals on social media. We at the Strictly Prohibited Podcast know what it is like to fall into unhealthy eating issues. Medical experts define obesity as having more than 30 percent body fat and extreme obesity as 40 percent body fat or higher. This definition may not be taken seriously because there are more than a handful of individuals who may be reaching 30 percent body fat but are very active and have an overall healthy lifestyle. Not everyone suffers weight gain from overeating; some individuals inherit chronic diseases that influence weight gain. This episode is meant to show that these controversial conversations can be had and should be had to improve the quality of life of the people we care about. Obesity does kill and may also create irreversible health problems. Let us continue this conversation among our friends, family, peers.. etc, to support those who may be struggling with weight issues. The Strictly Prohibited community is here to help in any way that we can. Please, reach out to us with any questions or comments that you may have about this topic! God bless you all and we hope to hear from you soon.
This week the Strictly Prohibited cast dives into one of the most controversial topics this year. The Corona Virus has affected many and we at the Strictly Prohibited community want to send our thoughts and prayers to anyone who has lost a loved one due to this virus. Many Americans are anxious to the point of panic about this new illness but we have to remain strong and look at the facts. COVID has a 90% survival rate which should bring some ease into those healthy individuals worried about contracting this virus. We at the Strictly Prohibited podcast are not doctors or scientists but we are people dealing with the same situation as many other Americans. We want to encourage our communities to stay safe and worry only about the things they can control, such as; wearing your PPE, keeping distance from others even when others don't want to respect the 6 foot rule, and constant washing of your hands. We'd love to hear from you and your perspective on these topics. If you have any suggestions or want to hear about a particular topic, please reach out to us @strictyprohibited3@gmail.com. Much Love and God Bless you all!

They want to welcome David and Will as part of the growing community! Does political correctness affect the way people perceive discrimination? On this week's episode we bring on a collection of diverse perspectives on discrimination. 2020 has shown us that the concept of "minorities" is an idea of the past and we NEED to stop seeing color. Vick and Ian bring on two awesome guests, Dave and Will, to attack this sensitive topic. From foster children in Columbia to a rough time adjusting in America, these two brothers know exactly how unfair life can be.Their genuine desire to help others, despite the adversity that they have survived is a great influence and example for us to do the same. The Strictly Prohibited podcast aims to show our communities that it is possible to have a diverse group of people coming together to achieve a common goal. If you have ever faced any discrimination and would like the opportunity to share your story. Please, feel free to email us at strictlyprohibited3@gmail.com. We would love the opportunity to learn how we can help others that may be going through a similar situation. Lucky Strikes and a mid-day scotch with your lunch is a thing of the past. Join Victor and Ian on this week's episode as they discuss the way generations have been turning on each other. The world is going through some very tense moments and now is the time to stick together! Big corporations are starting to get rid of older workers and replacing them with the younger generation. Some are having trouble dealing with this fact and it may be for a good reason. Despite the ups and downs brought on by the bashing of generations is a positive outlook that is worth noting. Millennials have introduced a healthier lifestyle to the world and crowds are starting to follow. Even the older, crankier generation is starting to adapt to this trend as the world brings new ways to extend our lifespan. Remember that progression does not have to be political! The community would love to hear YOUR perspective on this topic! Send us an email @strictlyprohibited3@gmail.com or visit the website link below. Don't you just cringe when you hear the phrase, "because that's how I was raised"? Vick and Ian try to explain why society finds it so difficult to accept new changes and why progression is perceived as a negative concept. To be traditional does not have to mean, conservative, and to be progressive does not have to mean, liberal. In this episode, Vick defines what these two words (tradition and progression) mean and how society is being divided by these two concepts. Traditions help us remember where we come from and progression lets us improve from the mistakes we've made. There seems to be some misunderstanding going around that makes us believe that these two ideas are just black and white. As if saying, either you're here or you're there! You're with us or against us! You're right or you're wrong! But no one takes the time to think about how we are able to have self driving cars, or voice activated homes. Technology is the biggest testimony of progression in today's world. How about we start a new tradition? A tradition where we can come together and to help each other grow as individuals! Don't be afraid to be imperfect in this perfect world because I can assure you that you're not alone! The community would love to hear YOUR perspective on this topic! The Strictly Prohibited community has come a long way! On this episode, VIck and Ian look back on some of the topics that have been discussed and relate it back to why this podcast was established. Self improvement can take on many different shapes and sizes and as of recently we are seeing many use this to push their own agenda. Many of our fellow citizens have turned to looting and rioting to push for positive change. The question is not whether this is right or wrong but more so whether there is an end goal in mind? Tough situations call for tough people to take tough actions but tough, in this scenario, does not mean brute.Join the Strictly Prohibited community on this movement toward self improvement through self governance. These conversations can be had at home or amongst your social groups. Don't be afraid to be a good person in today's day and age, challenge someone you know to be better! The community would love to hear YOUR perspective on this topic! Send us an email @strictlyprohibited3@gmail.com or visit the website link below. Website: http://strictlyprohibited.org
The Strictly Prohibited community loves bringing on new guests to discuss different topics through different perspectives. On this episode, Vick and Ian, welcome Dave to the podcast. Dave has had his fair share of troubles throughout his life but has never lost his positive attitude. He explains some of the obstacles that he's had to overcome and offers some advice on how he dealt with life's never ending challenges. Many may find themselves dealing with adversity but what doesn't kill you, does in fact, make you stronger by building up your resiliency. The ability to recover from difficult situations is a rare virtue in today's society but it is important that we continue to instill these principles to those around us during these times of turmoil. The community would love to hear YOUR perspective on this topic! Send us an email @strictlyprohibited3@gmail.com or visit the website link below. Website: http://strictlyprohibited.org
Have you ever had questions about Freemasonry? Vick and Ian have a very special guest on the podcast this week. The host of the WCY Podcast, Robert Johnson, joins the Strictly Prohibited community to discuss how Freemasonry has overcome political correctness through 200 plus years of existence. RJ is known to be a subject matter expert on Freemasonry because of his Masonic education podcast (WCY Podcast) that has over 400 episodes. On this week's episode, Victor and Robert share their reasons for wanting to become Masons, as well as, provide some insight on what Freemasonry is like. Toughness is defined by the ability to withstand pressure without breaking. There seems to be a false sense of toughness in today's society. For many years people have had a tendency to believe that being rude or mean correlates with being tough. In a way, speaking your mind and not caring what others think about the actions you take could be a tough path to go down. This topic is especially important for Vick and Ian as they both believe that being vulnerable is not the same thing as being weak. This week the hosts of the Strictly Prohibited community discuss the need for people to act tough when in reality they are masking their own insecurities. These conversations can be had at home or amongst your social groups. Don't be afraid to be a good person in today's day and age, challenge someone you know to be better! Website: www.strictlyprohibited.org
How much time is wasted on social media? Vick and Ian discuss the importance of leaving your phone on silent and connecting with people on a more intimate level. Social media, dating apps, and the hype of getting Insta famous is creating too much noise in our heads and causing us to lose sight of who we are. You don't need to sacrifice your soul to gain an audience, simply be yourself! These conversations can be had at home or amongst your social groups. Don't be afraid to be a good person in today's day and age, challenge someone you know to be better! Website: www.strictlyprohibited.org
Vick and Ian go in on this week's episode as they use their understanding of authority to bring a unique perspective on finding leadership answers. The military has always been seen as the guide for leadership skills, and as veterans, the hosts of this show try to find a way to relate this topic to everyday life. These conversations can be had at home or amongst your social groups. Don't be afraid to be a good person in today's day and age, challenge someone you know to be better!
Strictly Prohibited is happy to announce that it has a new addition to the team! Navy veteran Ian aka "Bird" has agreed to join Vick in the fight against political correctness barriers. These conversations can be had at home or amongst your social groups. Don't be afraid to be a good person in today's day and age, challenge someone you know to be better!
Has political correctness gone too far? Vick invites one of his good friend Mags, the creator of Gains N Games to discuss what political correctness means to them and the effect it has on their lives. Mags and Vick try to share their experiences in sports and gaming to understand how society has taken political correctness too far. BUT there are always two sides to every story and some good can be found from such a controversial topic. These conversations can be had at home or amongst your social groups. Don't be afraid to be a good person in today's day and age, challenge someone you know to be better!
In this Pilot episode of the Strictly Prohibited podcast Vick gives a brief overview of his reasons for wanting to start this community. It is his goal to be the change he wants to see in the world and it all starts at the personal level. If you are tired of the political correctness filters, join the Strictly Prohibited podcast every week as we tackle the tough conversations that society does not want us to have.
