Fuck them people plug yourself is something I said one night while encouraging a friend to go make her dream job, instead of waiting on someone to approve you. Approve yourself. Yes , you need people along the way but how often to we look to the left and right of us to find the resources we need to make our dreams come true. All the time, especially in NYC you hear people say its not what you know but who? Imaging that being who’s working with you at your job, or your friend that’s been hustling to make her business pop for years. I always use Issa Rae as my Inso for this topic. She created an entire production company with her childhood friends and college class mates. She hustled Youtube, crowd funded, all that. She made it. With the help of those around her and you know what , Im not sure if you guys ever heard this quote “ If they don’t hire you, hire yourself.” Period!
Tanaja Monet will give listeners the 5 steps she took on becoming #Unapologetically 20something.
