NPR Student Podcast Challenge 2022 Honorable Mention. The Dragon Kids had the privilege of being interviewed by W. Kamau Bell for his show "United Shades of America" on CNN. This is what happened behind the scenes when a comedian and political provocateur interviewed a group of 5th grade podcasters in a public school on a Sunday during a pandemic and a snow storm. The Dragon Kids turned the tables on one of the producers and interviewed her about her cool job - one the Dragon Kids will be vying for in about 15 years!

The Dragon Kids teach words in Mandarin pertaining to surrogacy and interview a NY couple who had to go through surrogacy in another state because it was illegal in New York until February 15, 2021. The Dragon Kids are Angelo Chen, Zoe Jiang, Becky Liu, Si Chen Xu, and Leo Yu, 7th graders at PS 126/MAT in NYC, and Amanda Chen and Joyce Jiang, high school mentors from School of the Future. The Dragon Kids were all once English language learners and students of Ms. Patterson, who teaches ENL at PS 126/MAT. Original music by Angelo Chen, 7th grade, PS 126/MAT.
