Michael M and Andy get things started while Michael R is away with cornucopia of games. First up is StonkRider, which bills itself as “motocross meets wall street” where you ride a motorcycle up and down a stock ticker.  Then, from the makers of Untitled Goose Game, is a new title called Big Walk, where, as the title suggests, you go out for an unstructured walk.  This harkens back nicely to the discussion between Ian and Andy in last week's episode.  And it reminds Michael of a story he saw recently about Google's take on Flight Simulator using Google Maps.  Next, the pair discuss TinyWind, a pixel pirate sailing game, where you might charter an accountant and sail the wild accountancy.  Then, an even more retro game appears – Gorilla.JS.  This DOS game has gorillas throwing exploding bananas at one another from across a cityscape where you can choose the angle and force to throw.  Both cohosts promptly thew their bananas with such little force that it went up in the air and exploded on their own gorilla.   Batter up!  Andy and Michael's next set of topics take them to America's pastime, and the adjacent sport of cricket.  After checking out the game visualization of Ribbie, the pair get into a discussion on what 8-Bit really means.  Michael remembers the SmallBall game, and was disappointed to learn that this game is no longer maintained.  On the other hand, he is happy about his university playing in the College World Series.  Baseball and cricket really lend themselves well to games because of all of the stats that are kept about each player and the games themselves.  Andy shared the story of the Wisden Cricketers Almanack which chronicles enormous details in it's 1,500 pages! Up front for France, Kylian Mbappe is undeniably an incredible player, but he has that somewhat unpalatable aura reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo. Is it because he feels threatened by the quiet star of Michael Olise? Spain Stunned & Vozinha's Viral Boom: A completely mad result, and to be honest, I'm just not sure I'm having this Spanish side right now—they seem to completely lack a spark. Egypt Grind with Belgium: Mohamed Salah is looking a bit washed to me, suffering from the exact same issue as Sonny—two remarkably similar, elite players who have simply been run into the ground. Egypt looked like a thoroughly competent side, and while there's nothing to suggest this post-'golden generation' Belgium team are anything special. Saudi Arabia's Minnow Myth: Another match completely defined by the shot-stoppers. Saudi keeper Mohammed Al-Owais was phenomenal, and I felt genuinely gutted for them when they finally conceded, though they at least held on for a well-deserved point against Uruguay. With the explosive growth of their domestic league and the financial focus from the PIF, you have to wonder how much longer we'll consider them a minnow nation. Haaland Terrifies & Iraq's Disallowed Screamer: Antonio Nusa looked lovely out there, and I can completely see why Spurs have been heavily linked with him. As for Erling Haaland, it's become so routine and almost boring to see him bag goals in the Premier League that the impact has faded a bit. But watching him on a completely different stage, terrifying a fresh set of international defenders, just reaffirms exactly how terrifyingly good he is. Meanwhile, Iraq scored an absolute screamer that was somehow not actually a goal. State lawmakers wrapped up their session in a series of high-stakes votes this week. Some priorities were pushed across the finish line, while others failed to win support in either the New Hampshire Senate or House. State senators voted to table a Republican-backed bill for open school enrollment, which would let New Hampshire students enroll in any public school in the state. Among other things, the House and Senate agreed to legislation that will require towns and cities to consider capping local property taxes spent on school and district administrative costs. Meanwhile, 2026 political hopefuls are streaming into the State House, with the state candidate filing period open until June 12.
