Welcome to the Fashionable Farmers podcast; where we talk all things agriculture and fashion. Advocating for women in the agriculture industry by sharing stories of both the pretty and gritty components of the ag lifestyle.  Hosted by Takaila and Tori Kendall, fifth generation farmers, sisters, and founders of T Lazy T Boutique, we are ready to connect and share the passions within women in ag. Laurel Ysebaert is a mother of two, a wife, and a first-generation cattle rancher on a third-generation family farm in Southwestern Ontario. Alongside her husband and two kids, she started a Scottish Highland cattle ranch essentially from scratch just over a year ago. Six months ago she opened a farm store on her property called the Mercantile at Ysebaert  Acres where she sells free-range eggs, local beef, and a carefully-curated selection of farm goods, beauty items and unique gifts. She is also a photographer and displays and sells some of her work in the store, too. Laurel wears a lot of hats, she is also a registered veterinary technician and always wanted to work in large animal. But when her and her husband moved back home to Ontario from Alberta, she could only find work within small animal medicine. She always joked about just “getting her own cows” instead, which is what she ended up doing. Laurel has always been a really big advocate for following your dreams, and is extremely passionate about representing women in ag. She does her best to share her journey in agriculture as transparently and authentically as she can, in an effort to encourage other women in this industry to do the same.  Connect with Laurel on IG @ysebaertacres & her farmstore @ysebaertacresmercantile ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Show notes: Episode 004 | Laurel Ysebaert of Ysebaert Acres & Mercantile ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Join our community at www.tlazytboutique.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow along at www.instagram.com/tlazytboutique.com
