    In this wild episode, we give you an updated view on the migration, weather, and current hunting situations in various states around the country. MN, MO, UT, AR, LA, and OK were all mentioned and talked about. Don't mind the crazy things you hear on the podcast, we have guides that are accommodating clients mid recording. Wade is traveling in his car, Cam was on top of a hill outside HF trying to get cellphone service. I love it, these guys are hardcore and I appreciate all these gentlemen that came on making it work out the best they could.

His story behind how it started was something that was a surprise to me, yet an opportunity that you have to run with just like he did. We talk about photography setups in different hunting situations, what he has learned in this new industry, people he's met, and places that he's been able to explore because of his passion. It seemed like I've know him for years, but we met just a few short minutes before hit the record button.     We are happy to announce are 2nd women to the podcast Maddie Kovach. She has a very unique story of how she got started hunting and now guiding in the outdoor industry.  We talk about her adventures she's having out in Kansas guiding whitetail deer and then switching rapidly guiding and helping out with ducks in Stuttgart, Arkansas. She also gives her take on being a women in the outdoors, how she wants to represent herself, people she wants to surround herself with to make her a better outdoorsman and guide. A lot of what we talked about was a huge eye opener for me and I learned new things during this interview.  The Guide Series Podcast wishes her nothing but the best of luck going forward in her outdoor journey.

    Josh reached out to us after one of the early episodes and told us how much he enjoyed listening. Talking to him more and more and we knew we had to bring him on because his story is wild to say the least. Only 26 years old, he gave up everything, went against the standard life grain, moved out west and started his own guide service. His perspective about waterfowling is a unqiue one, and his passion for waterfowl is very strong. That is why he was such a great guest. Central Valley Outfitters in Utah, has some of the most versitle hunting there is. He talks about his story, his daily routines, and what separates him from other watefowl guides acrossed the country. The boys on the Guide Series Podcast wish him nothing but the best going forward. Central Valley Outfitters are on their way to being the Best In the West.

    On this episode, I have a chance to talk with 25 year old Cam Maxson. He started guiding in Illinois and is now with Habitat Flats. He talks about what attributes make a good guide, how to deal with good and bad clients, his tips and tricks that he brings to the table, and ends with some great stories. Even if it's a double banded bird, while guiding its all about the clients experience. Those clients always get to duke it out for the bands amongst themselves. Guides are just the referee for the straw picking that takes place in the blind! We as guides love watching people enjoy and learn about this sport and that's every time we take a group out.
