Most of the problems facing our world are a result of selfishness (Climate change, Oppression, inequality etc). Our culture feeds off the soul's desire to be selfish. Christianity offers a counter cultural way of living, a soul transformed to be selfless, instead of selfish. Throughout this talk we will look at how the Christian practice of serving others, and giving generously can help transform our souls so that we would be spiritually free.
We lie to ourselves all of the time. Human beings are incredibly complicated creatures and it is not easy for us to be truthful with ourselves. In a world one's life is always on display we spend almost all of our time presenting as someone, which we are not. Thankfully Jesus provides us the space and opportunity to be honest. When we are with God we can be completely honest, because He knows everything about us already. In this talk we will discuss the pressure teenagers feel to ‘perform' and encourage them to engage in truly honest conversation with Jesus.
