In a scary time where the rona is taking over our lives, Christine & Jay wanted to give their listeners an hour of distractions from the world. Michael and Erica talk about how they learned to accept Christine into the family despite her IBS, and how as they got to know her, how to care for her. Michael, a MD/PhD student, also talks about his training at Yale University, and how future doctors are being trained to have more empathetic relationships with their patients. Instead of just treating them symptomatically, Michael is learning how to treat his patients emotionally as well.
