This episode was recorded on the eve of 2019, almost 18 months ago. Due to the nature of the conversation we were not ready to share at the time but are now and feel that plant medicine and mushroom medicine work and conversation are crucial to our collective healing journey. A day before heading into Burning Man we stopped in Mendocino, California, to spend time with Ken Boek. We were shooting Ken for our documentary entitled; P E O P L E, but felt this piece alone needed to be shared as a solo BANGER. What followed was a powerful exploration of a man responding to a deeply traumatic event.
On May 26th Ireland voted by a landslide victory to give women bodily autonomy and finally remove the Catholic church from the constitution. The very next day on May 27th Anna Cosgrave, founder of The Repeal Project joined us and our guest James Earley to explore the theme; 'Falling Apart, Coming Together'' Anna is an activist and socially driven entrepreneur as well as an incredibly bright and creative person.
When difficult things happen it can be easy to get trapped into thinking that life is not working. You always have the freedom in how you choose to respond and interpret things. What was once seen as a negative event, can in turn become a learning experience, rich in meaning, a stepping stone to becoming a more whole person.
