Reviews, analyses and commentary of all kinds on fiction of all forms. Anime, literature, video games are all fair game on here! Multiple series will be run on this podcast, some discussing heavier topics, while others will be absolute nonsense made just
Did I mention at one point in the movie it snowed and Darcy said it was a Miracle? A Miracle. It snowed in Ireland and she considered it a miracle.
Did the first two hours of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl show promise? Or is it somehow a more troubled remake that the GTA Trilogy definitive edition? Okay it's definitely not that bad, but is it a game worth buying? It? They? Should I refer to them as singular or plural? They're basically the same, right? Wrong? I don't know anymore.
Eternals has done decently enough at the box office, but critically it's lagged behind its brethren. This is the first MCU film in a while to be so poorly received and the first to get a rotten score on Rotten Tomatoes. Does it deserve it? Is it truly a flop? Is it doomed to be forgotten? Also this turned into quite a project and I had some stuff that was forcing me to rush so sorry about the awkward cuts here and there in the review.
Metroid Dread is game almost two decades in the making, and now it's finally here! Now the only question is if those decades were well-spent. And to the surprise of all, I somehow got through this whole review without mentioning David Jaffe once. Also, I'm trying something new with the thumbnails, curious to see how it'll work out.
One of my new October traditions is logging on daily to see the terrifically terrifying comic Beck has posted. But why? Where did these come from? And why should you remember them? Once they were the most iconic and beloved of internet horror, but in recent years they've fallen from their good graces; so, is this just a changing of the times, or is this justified? Are Creepypastas Still Creepy?
This British dark comedy/horror series was made known to me about a year ago. Figured I'd see if it's as good as I've been told.
So the Dr Lady is a little less nice here. Also there was a shot that showed Misato from the side and her waist was so thin I'm pretty sure a good slap on the back would snap her in half.
I do not apologize for the title.
Time for exhausted ramblings and corrections to theories from a less tired but also less accurate GW!
New style! Late upload! More to come!
So if you really think about it Asuka is basically like half of the main characters of Genesis and Shinji is likely Judah for reasons I probably can't say in the description.
Yeah so Shinji learns to dance with Asuka and I'm quite sure this is a direct parallel to Abraham and Lot.
Is Abraham now a hot-tempered 14 year-old anime girl? I think so. It's a natural evolution of the character.
Oh hey Misato is visiting a test for a rival's angel-fighting robot prototype this is sure to go well for everyone involved.
In this episode of Wording Better I continue my journey through the classic anime and give my impressions, interpretations and inclinations about episode 6 of the series! Please forgive the rough audio, I forgot how out of it I was when I recorded this, I'll work to avoid issues like this in the future.
Rei has remained a mystery up until now, who is she, where did she come from, how did she get injured, and is Rei like a family name, or did her folks just decide to spell her name in a way nobody will get right? In this episode I explore the potential themes and influence the character has, and what she represents in relation to Shinji. Sorry that there's a few awkward transitions here and there, I was very tired and since this is a first impressions series I don't feel right going back and rerecording what's been done. Also it's labeled explicit because I mention woman parts and IDK if any of these websites get funny about that stuff.
In this analysis of the much-beloved adaptation of the Holy Bible light novel GW explores the 4th episode of the hit series and the themes of depression, friendship, and apathy. Also he was sleep deprived in this so please don't yell.
In this episode of Wording Better With GW we delve into the themes and Christian symbolism in the third episode of the hit anime/bible adaptation: Neon Genesis Evangelion!
Shinji lives with a penguin now, but what does this represent biblically speaking?
I really just wanted to put Genesis in the title as much as I could, but it's still accurate. So if you want to hear about this classic from the perspective of someone who read the original Genesis light novel then you've come to the right place!
