Cortney texts her sister, Candis, asking if she has any hand-me-downs she can use for a baby. Which is a confusing question for Candis because she had no clue her sister was pregnant. **Note: When stuff in Iran goes down, my natural inclination is to avoid doing content and stay above the fray, at least until the media hysteria dies down.  Not the best way to run a media project, I know, but I just have a hard time with all the breathless coverage--BREAKING!!!--and don't really want to feed it. Well, Rejuvenique is doing exactly that… but with your face!”  Well, apparently, years later, the FDA issued a warning about this miracle device. And the whole time it was hiding in plain sight.  Back in the 1920s, oil was the new gold. Because out of nowhere, all of a sudden, everything was running on it. Literally. Cars and airplanes were taking over. And if World War 1 taught us anything, it was that we needed an emergency stash of oil for the military… Just in case.  It was like a gold rush… but with oil. And when there's money on the table, somebody's gonna get greedy. This is how a *huge*  government scandal happened. Honestly I don't mind, I love buying baby stuff. In pop culture at least, we're way more used to seeing women being naked and sexualized.  Think how many times you see titties on tv. And then think about how everyone loses their minds when there's a penis on HBO or White Lotus. It's rare!  Back in the 1950s, it was only men who had bachelor parties. Bachelorette parties? Not a thing. In those days, women would have bridal showers. And men got to have their wild night out.  But by the 70s, feminism was going strong. Women were feeling a little more liberated.
