Palm Branches were symbols of victory, triumph, peace and eternal life. The donkey symbolized peace, so those who chose to ride them showed that they came with peaceful intentions. God provided spiritual salvation from the bondage of sin, bought at a great cost to the Lord Jesus. Your expectations of who Jesus is should always line up with scripture. Shamgar was a judge in Israel for less than a year but made a huge impact. This ordinary man did three simple but powerful things to make his life count during the life of the nation of Israel. Christmas is really about Jesus (earthly name) coming to reveal God. God became a man. Holiness sleeping in a womb. The creator of life being created. God had come near. What can we learn about the incarnation of God in the Flesh? What can we learn from the first Christmas? Key Takeaways: If God could use two humble individuals like Mary and Joseph, surely he can use people like you and people like us. We must remember that big things often start small. Christian courage is the willingness to say and do the right thing regardless of the cost because God promises to help you and save you because of Christ. Talking to your kids, teenagers and young adult son or daughter is important. Talking to God about them is critical. We need to pray for our children; spouse. Pray big, bold audacious prayers for any stage or circumstance in our children’s life and spouse’s life. Prayer is the most effective tool a parent has. Prayer goes where a parent can’t. Prayer is a parent’s way of taking matters into God’s hands. When teaching, discipline and modeling fail, prayer succeeds.
One way we overcome suffering is to suffer with joy. The believers in Philippi were growing in faith and live for Christ while dealing with conflict and threats of persecution. Paul was stuck in a Roman prison when he wrote to this his thank you letter. This church supported Paul’s Ministry with a financial gift and material resources. They made great sacrifices and now they’re beginning to doubt God’s continued provision. Paul reminds the believers to suffer with “joy.” Paul gives us a few “Holy” suggestions on how to “Suffer with Joy.”
Joy - joy is an inward state of being that determines a person’s outward response to the situation. Joy is a choice! Joy comes from the Greek word, chara, which means "to be exceedingly glad". Joy moves us past our circumstances and into a posture of “it is well.” Joy is contentment in its purest form. As believers, we have a duty to encourage one another. When was the last time you encouraged your spouse, children, parents, friend, co-worker, supervisor, Pastor or neighbor. Encouragement is the oxygen of the soul.
We Need Each Other The role of the leadership of the church is to teach, preach, and equip us to go out and spread the gospel. We must get to know one another, fellowship, connect, break bread so that we can fulfill the mandate of the church.

We as people of God must realize that focusing on our divine assignment(s) is never solely for our own benefit. It is always meant to impact people and impact generations. Until we truly embrace that, we are limiting Christ’s power through us. There can never be global, there can never be outreach, there can never be community until we recognize our divine purpose.

C.S. Lewis said, “Joy is the serious business of Heaven.” Too many people look back on their life with regret or they are too focused on the future with anxiety and stress. I often wonder how much farther in life could people be if they experienced joy. Here are five reasons why we should experience joy.
I love reading the life of David. He is a real man who has real issues in his life, family, real sin issues and reign as a king. He experienced real jealous, betrayal, hurt and threats on his life. He made real mistakes but he is called a man after God’s own heart. He has real struggles. David’s life is a reminder that we have real issues to deal with as believers. Key Takeaways: Your praise is personal and one of your weapons against the enemy. Satan cannot stay in an atmosphere of praise. Be persistent. Praise God through the good and bad times. Let your praise be perpetual. May his praise ever be on your lips. Focus on the Lord. David was focused on the LORD, not his problems. He was focused on his deliverer. Learn how to focus on the LORD because He is focused on you.

He is not interfering…he is setting you up for greatness. You are favored when you don’t even feel like it…God desires to do what you believe he can’t do through you. Just look at Abraham, he was 75 when God gave him the ultimate assignment. Your assignment will impact your generation. That which is born of you will save the whole world…Your assignment is meant to impact generations.
Global OUTREACH (GO) Community Church is purposed according to the great commission to GO OUT and make disciples of all nations. Of all the things Jesus could have commanded after His resurrection, He chose to “GO and make disciples”. God is always boldly on the move, but we are a hesitant people often following the path of Jonah and missing God’s best for us and those around us. Key Takeaways GOing builds our Faith as we trust the Lord to use us as we share the Gospel for His glory. GOing is most effective when we pack light for the journey as we see in Jesus’ instructions to his disciples in Matthew chapter 10. It is difficult to GO if we are weighted down with the things of this world or the worries of life. GOing to people who are different than us in areas of our community, city, state, country and around the world speaks to the power of the Gospel to unify and tear down walls of partiality and fear.
