Andrew Rayel – Dark Warrior (Original Mix)Always nice to start out with a banger, and this one definitely fits the bill.  Originally, I thought it was an Andrew Rayel take of Jumper.  It definitely sounds like it but enjoy it nevertheless.2. Alexander Popov – Legend (Original Mix)This was my ASOT 650 Anthem because of the melody and breakdown that screamed anthem to me.  This was my vote for the ASOT650 theme contest3. Armin van Buuren pres. Gaia – Humming the Lights (Album Version)This was my ID of last year, and I finally seen a release of this song with Intense.  Every single time I listened to this song live, I sang it out loud hoping people would join in.4. Beat Service – Impulse (Original Mix)A little soft tune that relaxes and soothes as the melody absorbs you and releases you into the beat. Only discovered the name of this song after listening to Beat Service closing the Full On Ferry night during ADE.5. Markus Schulz – Remember This (Original Mix)I was there at EDC 2013 when Markus premiered this song during the start of his set.  I was also there when a man proposed to this song during the New World Punx show at the Hollywood Palladium at November.  So many memories with this song that it had to be in this mix.6. New World Punx – RomperHad to include this song because of how I loved this open and how it opened the first live broadcasted performance of the New World Punx.7. Robert Miles – Children (Maisen & Dragen 2012 Reboot)Recently rediscovered in this mix by Lange’s set during ASOT600 at Madrid with relaxing tunes and pounding beat with the all to familiar melody.8. Armin van Buuren feat. Richard Bedford – Love Never Came (The Blizzard Remix)Had to include a Blizzard remix in due to their chilling interpretation on dance music, and Love Never Came was a perfect song to do it with.9. Armin van Buuren feat. Fiora – Breath in the Deep Night (The Blizzard and Daniel van Sand Mashup Reconstruction)I’m very sad that this song was only performed by the Blizzard in their radio shows as well as with one play on ASOT.  This is a reconstruction I made by finding bits and pieces of the breakdown mashup and putting it together with the clean track of Waiting for the Night (Beat Service Remix)10. Andy Moor & Betsie Larkin – Love Again (Andrew Rayel Remix)Another Rayel hard driving song with a beautiful tune.  Although, I do need to look up some more Andy Moor songs.11. Alex M.O.R.P.H. – Sun of Ilena (Ruben de Ronde Remix)A hidden gem that I discovered after getting Prime Mover The Remixes as I was playing around with some of the songs and found this one particularly amazing with the hard bass kicks that placed before having layer after layer placed to create this masterpiece of a remix by Ruben de Ronde12. Armin van Buuren – Pulsar (Ummet Ozcan Remix)Ummet Ozcan has done a weird little remix of Pulsar, but it has gotten the people moving during Tomorrowworld.  Traditional Ummet Ozcan here and can’t really complain about this mashup all that much.13. Ferry Corsten – Diss! (Original Mix)With the mashup with The Dark Knight, I was absolutely going insane during the Tomorrowworld stream when Armin dropped that monster combination.  I couldn’t recreate it but mixing the two sounds together created an amazing transition.14. KhoMha – The Dark Knight (Original Mix)See Diss!15. Markus Schulz feat. Ana Diaz – Nothing Without Me (Beat Service Remix)Insane work by Beat Service yet again as they create another remix that has bested the original track.  Continued to sing the lyrics to this track whenever I hear it played in a live set. Only found it during ASOT 650 Mexico City and never looked back on Markus Schulz after finding it.16. Andrew Rayel – Zeus (Original Mix)Holy moly, Zeus brings the hard bass with the melodic tones in with this track as it bangs back and forth bringing you to move your body no matter what happens in the outside world.17. Cosmic Gate & Emma Hewitt – Be Your Sound (Extended Mix)Another song that I discovered the name of after recently listened to this track.  Amazing job by Cosmic Gate to create such a classic track that is still played in their sets to this day with me thinking that it was a 2013 production.18. Julie Thompson & Super8 & Tab – Your Secret’s Safe (Original Mix)A hidden gem by Super8 & Tab, I think.  I wanted to see them at EDC, but I didn’t want to break away from my group at the time.  They probably would have dropped this song during their set.  First heard during ASOT 650 at Kuala Lumpur, this helped me get through the long night before District Convention for Circle K.19. Armin van Buuren feat. Cathy Burton – Rain (W&W Remix)From what I can discern, this was W&W before their Revealed days.  I can see how W&W were able to get a command of the Trance community with this remix.20. KhoMha – HydraWith KhoMha on the rise, I thought I throw in my favorite track of KhoMha’s from this year.  I didn’t think of it at the time, but it had a beautiful mix of sounds with the end of Rain.  It flowed perfectly and sends us into a dark corner to run and hide from the Hydra that comes in this song.21. Alexander Popov – Lost Language (Original Mix)This track represents the bridge into the uplifting half of the mix.  An amazing track with a beautiful melody and dark undertones that have you shaking and wanting more especially as an Intro piece for A State of Trance 2013 CD 222. ReOrder & Ian Standerwick pres Sky Patrol – Folding Your Universe (Original Mix)A beautiful little track as it will have you swaying back and forth between two plateaus of euphoria.  That melody will always make my body move and the build up to the drop is absolutely fantastic and allows any follower of trance to go with the flow.23. Armin van Buuren feat. Justine Suissa – Burned with Desire (Rising Star Vocal Mix)Justine Suissa is a goddess when it comes to vocals, and she does it with outstanding effect with Burned with Desire.  This is the first pure version I heard of the song, and it couldn’t be any better.24. John O’Callaghan & Giuseppe Ottaviani – Ride the Wave (Will Atkinson Remix)Can’t believe the outstanding work and weird middle breakdowns Will Atkinson put in this production, but I can’t complain as the melodic breakdown is what people will remember as it was the bridge between Burned with Desire and the song.  Once the song builds and releases, you can’t help but to move.25. Martin Garrix – Animals (Broning Bootleg)Little discovery made during an episode of ASOT with this track surprisingly on it with an uplifting take on it.  Probably just like the original mix with the general EDM population, this track took off in the trance community, and Armin even dropped this song at Armin Only.  Perhaps a reappearance for Armin Only: LA? We’ll just have to see when the motherf’ing animals will rise again.26. Armin van Buuren – Who’s Afraid of 138?! (Photographer Remix)A random statement by Armin van Buuren during an episode of ASOT when he asked the question “Who’s Afraid of 138?”  It then exploded into a movement that Armin happily decided to move along and run with leading up to this track’s original mix.  Photographer did a spectacular job with the remix and this should be the proper message to send to anybody afraid of 138, well in this case 140.27. Sergey Nevone & Simon O’Shine – Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix)A piano tune to the remix of Aly & Fila, and a proper track for a Universal Religion CD.  With the piano sneaking up within the layers of uplifting, the track decides to take a break and let that piano take over for that build up.  Once it starts, it builds until you release and explode to destroy the dance floors.  Monster track for anybody looking to add some class to their EDM listening.28. Aly & Fila vs. Fady & Mina – The Journey (Original Mix) (FSOE 300 Anthem)The Journey was the perfect theme for FSOE 300 as all who listened went on a terrific journey across the world of trance and uplifting with this track fitting the bill perfectly for the journey.  Start with some psy-trance modulations to some uplifting pieces, and a piano break down where if there were lasers coming at you, you’d be breaking down, insert signs of psy back in, add the uplifting notes, let it rest, and explode into a mess of emotions as you have gone through that journey and the ride is just awesome.29. Armin van Buuren vs. Arctic Moon vs. OneRepublic – If I Lose Myself Coming Home (Shura Vlasov Mashup)Mind you this track was the first I heard of If I Lose Myself used in a setting that I was comfortable with, and what a track this has been.  Of course, this has been overplayed by Armin van Buuren, but why not add one more to the mix.  Come on, it’s a good mashup!30. Arctic Moon & Bryan Kearney – Dreamers & Dreams (Original Mix)“We are the Music Makers, and we are the creaters of humans” is what this song drives itself off of.  The psy-trance duo of Artic Moon and Bryan Kearney have done it with this epic track, and one of the 138+ trance tunes of 2013 in my belief!31. Aly & Fila feat. Jwaydan – We Control the SunlightAly & Fila put up some amazing vocals with this song in We Control the Sunlight.  Chilling tale and desire helps to bring it to become a modern classic that will reduce the dance floor into an emotional singing choir screaming these vocals.   Had to add this gem due to the amazing Aly & Fila sets I started to listen to this year.32. Aly & Fila feat. Sue McLaren – Mysteries Unfold (Uplifting Mix)I think this mix out does the original mix, but that’s the obvious part.  That signature Aly & Fila piano that wasn’t present in the original mix makes this the superior version in my mind.  It’s probably going to be a song that Aly & Fila are going to continue to play through the next year or so in their live sets, and I won’t be complaining about it one bit!33. Armin van Buuren feat. Laura Jansen – Sound of the Drums (Aly & Fila Remix)An amazing remix of Sound of the Drums as Aly & Fila add their signature sound to this rather decent song.  Same Aly & Fila build ups, but the power makes this an uplifting treat for those craving the Armin van Buuren hits.34. Above & Beyond pres. OceanLab – On a Good Day (Above & Beyond Club Mix)This little old track had gotten me relaxed during the end of ABGT 001 last year.  It’s been a few months before I realized the name of this track and found the original track.  I got to say with the other songs in this collection, I want to see some more OceanLab productions come out of Above & Beyond.35. RAM feat. Susana – RAMelia (Tribute to Amelia) (Original Mix)Now what would a 2013 mix be without this song.  First listened at RAM’s Tribute to Amelia set during Grotesque Indoor Festival, I had goosebumps crawling over me as Susana’s lyrics and the orchestration filled me with emotion and once the song really got going, euphoria reigned supreme.  I wasn’t surprised this got selected as a top 5 song in the ASOT Top 20 countdown for 2013.36. Above & Beyond pres. OceanLab – Sirens of the Sea (Above & Beyond Club Mix)A track that was beautifully arranged acoustically when I heard it at Above & Beyond Acoustic USA, the vocals of Justine Suissa just help the ambiance of the track soothing yet mysterious. This old tune made me think that I was actually on a ship listening to a story or having a mermaid lead me to my demise.  Hey, one can imagine right.37. Above & Beyond pres. OceanLab – Satellite (Above & Beyond Remix)Another track heard for the first time in acoustic form at Above & Beyond Acoustic USA, this mix of the track is just so beautiful that I couldn’t resist acting like the song was actually performed everytime I heard it.  The kicker for me including it in this mix was the laser display watching YouTube videos of RAM dropping this song during his Tribute to Amelia set at Grotesque.38. Moogwai – Viola (Armin van Buuren Remix)Probably the oldest song that I have on this mix, but I can’t help but think that this was a song that would be on loop constantly if I was into trance back then.  It also sounds like something my mom would have listened to in the early 2000’s.  First heard at Armin van Buuren’s WAO138 set at ASOT 650 Den Bosch, this old song is perhaps the purest example of what trance was like in the old days, I think.39. Paul van Dyk – For an Angel (Maison & Dragen 2013 Reboot)Another Maison & Dragen reboot, and this time, it is another classic! Sped up to 140, but I believed it worked for the occasion.  Just like Children, the hard pounding beats and the all too familiar melody works just as good for the modern times.  I love Maison & Dragen’s reboots of these classics, and I hope they are able to make more reboots like this in the future.40. Rank 1 – Breathing (Full Vocal Club Mix)To end this mix, I think I picked a true classic with this song.  First heard Breathing in the Coldharbour Remix that will probably never get released and Airwave in the Dash Berlin remix.  Finding in this gem of a trance song allowed me to create the perfect end to this discovery mix, and what a way to end it, a relaxing way home.http://archive.org/download/TrancitWeeklyEpisode71/71%20Episode%2071.mp3
