Check out Lee's first episode on the podcast here: https://www.thehealthymaven.com/2016/12/thats-so-maven-episode-2-lee-hersh-from-fit-foodie-finds.html Guess who's baaaaack! Now that we're almost 2 years into the podcast, it's been fun to bring some return visitors back on the show to catch-up about life and what's changed since we last spoke. Today's guest is no exception and likely requires no introduction: Lee Hersh from Fit Foodie Finds. I've known Lee for 5 years now after meeting through the blogging space and we've chronicled our friendship online and in our last podcast episode together. Today's episode is a bit different. We kept things conversational and open and I loved the result! A true reflection of our friendship but also some much necessary realness. Lee reaches millions of visitors every month and has inspired so many with her recipes and body positive content. Today we're chatting about what it's really like behind the scenes of FFF and how things have changed recently. Here are some other things we chatted about: Lee's recent trip and what she learned from going off the grid Expanding her team and how Team Fit Foodie has changed The term "influencer" and how she describes her business Body image and why it's a conversation we both don't find ourselves having Mental health and sharing your mental health struggles on the internet Her relationship with Mark and how he's helped to balance her out What she's looking forward to in the future and big projects she's working on The advice she wishes she'd gotten when she started out on this journey Join The Healthy Maven Tribe to ask guest questions and to find out who will be on the show before anyone else! http://facebook.com/groups/THMTribe Please don't forget to rate + review in iTunes if you love the podcast. Women Inspired!

On Monday I released a podcast episode urging you to take immediate action on your big goals, even if you don't feel ready, and even if you don't know what you're doing. Did you take my advice? Have you started? Want another example to inspire you? In today's episode, you'll meet Lee Hersh, a woman who did just that. In fact, Lee began her blog, Fit Foodie Finds as a passion project 8 years ago, without the slightest idea of how to create blog. Not only did her passion project help her recognize and heal from her own eating disorder, but it grew into a massively successful, full-time business!  Today, Fit Foodie Finds is a lifestyle content blog featuring healthy recipes, travel tips, and exercise programs, all with an eye toward helping people cultivate an enjoyable, balanced, healthy lifestyle. And, Lee herself has grown into a true social media influencer. Her Instagram account boasts over 134,000 followers! We had an amazingly fun conversation! I feel like we hit all the bases, including: How she started her passion project before she was ready and before she knew exactly what to do, and why you should too! Why she doesn't plan too far into the future, and what she does instead. What it means to be open, authentic, and vulnerable on social media...instead of curating our best moments (#nofilter). The fact that you only live once, and finding a career that you enjoy is so critically important! There is so much value in this episode, and I know you are going to love to get to know Lee Hersh! Lee Hersh is the blogger and business women behind Fit Foodie Finds. She is a healthy recipe creator, food photographer, risk-taker from Minnesota. She co-runs the Blogger Project which is dedicated to bloggers learning more about the ever changing industry. Lee has transformed her website from just a recipe blog to an entire wellness brand. She is always having fun creating the next best recipe, showing her infectious personality on snapchat and she makes getting a good sweat in fun! Where do you see yourself and your business in 5 years? I wish I could predict the future because I have no idea what the internet is going to look like.  If I was doing exactly what I'm doing today in 5 years, I would be very happy.  I want to have kids, I want to raise them, I want to be at home with them and I also want to make 6 figures at the same time. Now, I like to take on a lot of projects so I could see myself kind of dipping my hands into some other businesses, not starting them but kind of joining a team of a business or two in the food space probably.
