Civilminister Erik Slottner (KD) diskuterar polariseringens utveckling tillsammans med internationella framstående statsvetare. 2024 är ett stort valår och vi gästas av Katherine Cramer som delar med sig av erfarenheter från USA:s val och Gerry Stoker som bidrar med insikter byggt på europeisk och brittisk data om tillitens geografi. Medverkande Terese Bengard, verksamhetschef på Hela Sverige ska leva Katherine Cramer, professor i statsvetenskap vid University of Wisconsin-Madison och chef för Morgridge Center for Public Service. Hon har skrivit ett flertal böcker om politiska attityder på den amerikanska landsbygden som format sociala identiteter och det politiska missnöjet med eliten i USA, något som ledde till vinsten för Donald Trump i valet 2016. Erik Slottner (KD), civilminister Gerry Stoker, professor i statsvetenskap vid University of Southampton som forskar om lokalpolitik och medborgerligt deltagande. Han har även varit rådgivare till brittiska regeringen, EU:s ministerråd samt författare av över 20 böcker om lokalpolitik och demokrati i Storbritannien och Europa. Richard Öhrvall, doktor i statsvetenskap vid Linköpings universitet med fokus på social tillit, valdeltagande och politiskt beteende. Seminariet leds av Gissur Ó Erlingsson, professor vid Linköpings universitet och vetenskaplig ledare för Centrum för kommunstrategiska studier. 2022 var han ordförande för SNS Demokratirådsrapport: Den lokala demokratins vägval.
