Hold yourself accountable so that nobody else has to.We continue our fifth week of our 7-week series of quotes based on themes from my book, "Senior Salute," with four more quotes on the theme of "Accountability."Accountability is about being responsible for your actions. An accountable person can be counted on to do the right thing. People consider you to be accountable if they expect you will take care of what needs to be done for you and your team to be successful, even if nobody is watching. Accountability builds trust between teammates because they know they can count on each other to get their jobs done. I wrote "Senior Salute" as a follow-up to my most popular book ever, "Inspiration for the Graduate." Both are gift books for coaches or parents to give to their senior athletes. "Inspiration for the Graduate" makes for a great graduation gift, and "Senior Salute" is a great gift to give on Senior Night or at the End-of-Season Banquet. Each book is filled with quotes based on various Team Themes that, hopefully, the coaches have talked with and worked on with their teams at some point in the season. Also, please consider becoming a supporter of the show. We all know communication is key to a healthy marriage—but what if what you think is communication… really isn't? In this solo episode, Dr. Kim unpacks five common habits couples mistake for communication and how these patterns can quietly erode connection over time. Learn how to create safety in your conversations, break unhealthy rhythms from your past, and build new habits that foster real understanding. Because clarity is kind, connection takes intention, and communication is about more than just words—it's about being truly heard. Episode Highlights: Communication is the number one struggle couples mention in counseling. Talking at someone isn't the same as talking to someone. Unhealthy rhythms stem from our past experiences. The first step in breaking these patterns is recognizing they are there. Clarity is kind. It's important that both spouses feel safe to hear and be heard. Digital communication cannot replace connection. Daily touch points and weekly check-ins can help combat the negative rhythms. Quotes from Today's Episode: When couples say they can't communicate, what they mean is "we can't connect." We tend to overestimate how well we communicate. We think our spouse should just know what we want to say. Silence communicates rejection and punishment. Your spouse can't read your mind. Unmet expectations are just resentments waiting to happen. Sarcasm is a shield that prevents real intimacy. Use technology to enhance communication not to replace it. Don't wait for problems to arise before you communicate. Pause before you react. James 1:19 that's countercultural advice in a world that rewards quick comeback and hot takes but it's exactly what healthy communication looks like. Couple's Conversation Starters: Which of the "five things that aren't really communication" do we each tend to slip into most often, and how can we help each other recognize it with grace? When was the last time one of us felt unheard or misunderstood, and what could we do differently next time to make both of us feel safe to share honestly? How can we build more intentional rhythms of connection—like daily touch points or weekly check-ins—to keep our communication strong and consistent? Mentioned in this Episode: Awesome Marriage is on Instagram! If Communication is a struggle in your marriage, check out this free webinar: 7 Communication Mistakes Couples Make In Marriage We gathered all 685 answers, organized them into the top 10 themes, and added 1 practical step for each theme so husbands can better meet their wife's needs.

Now, he's helping B2B and DTC companies rethink how and where they show up–online and off. How Founders Can Use Physical Ads to Build a Stronger Brand If you're relying on performance digital marketing alone, you're leaving brand equity on the table. Greg explains why founders at high-growth companies are turning to old-school channels—such as billboards and in-store signage—to cut through the digital noise and stay top of mind. Why Out-of-Home Advertising is Easier Than You Think Greg shares how platforms like OneScreen are making it easier than ever to plan, buy, and measure out-of-home campaigns with real data–think billboards, bus stops, airport signage, and even wrapped cars. You'll learn how B2B teams are using out-of-home advertising to reach niche audiences by location and profession, and track web lift just like digital marketing. Some of their campaigns are driving over 130% increases in website activity—and you'll hear exactly how. This episode is packed with practical ideas on how to blend real-world and online campaigns, as well as why investing in your brand today makes conversions easier, cheaper, and faster tomorrow. Enjoy this episode with Greg Wise… Soundbytes 39:47 - 40:07 "Doing out of home can increase web lift conversions by 134%...For B2B companies. …For DTC companies was well over 200%." 44:10 - 44:39 "The performance marketer might generally think about it as someone who's focused on the bottom of a funnel, the people that are ready to buy, the people that are ready to convert. But that's potentially 5%. It's the 95-5 rule. 95% of your target audience and your target customer base are not in the market to buy right now, and for years, we've ignored those people. The way you go after those people is through brand work." 33:49 - 34:02 "We need that physical location, to show up in the real world, in the places where our customers are, so they can see and touch and feel, try on, experience, and then we don't care if they buy it in the store or if they buy it online." Quotes "How are you communicating brand in a way that can be memorable and stand out?" "The problem is that people don't really know how to do it right if they've never done it before." Everyone loves a good personality test. Whether it is the Myers-Briggs, the Enneagram, or that quiz you took online that told you which TV character you are most like, there is something satisfying about seeing yourself neatly described in a few short sentences. But here is the question: are these tests actually telling you who you are, or just giving you a clever label? In this episode, Dr. Bray unpacks the science behind our obsession with personality tests. You will learn why we are wired to love them, how the brain's reward systems light up when we feel recognized, and why the Barnum effect makes even vague descriptions feel spot-on. We will also take a closer look at the history of personality testing, from Hippocrates and the four humors to the modern-day workplace. More importantly, you will hear why taking these tests too seriously can backfire. Neuroscience shows that personality is not fixed. The brain is plastic, meaning it is constantly adapting and capable of change. When you lock yourself into a rigid type, you may be limiting your own growth without even realizing it. Dr. Bray keeps it practical and entertaining, weaving together science, history, and a bit of humor. You will walk away with a fresh perspective on personality tests, knowing when to treat them as fun and when to be cautious about the labels they hand you. So if you have ever wondered whether your four letters define you or if you are destined to always be "the extrovert" or "the thinker," hit play. This conversation will convince you that you are far more than a type, and that the most exciting part of your personality is how it continues to grow and change. Quotes by Dr. Bray "The real danger is not in taking these tests, but in taking them too seriously." "The appeal of personality tests has less to do with their accuracy and more to do with what they promise us." "This is just who I am" — that's the fixed mindset we need to challenge." "Hold those results lightly and treat them as a starting point for exploration."
