Welcome back Joes. Roll call this month: Jarrod Alberich Codename: Death Probe - Twitter @yardsaleartist and http://whiterocketbooks.com Brad Abraham aka The Joe Ed McMahon Codename: Jarrod 2.0 aka A Better Version of Jarrod - http://bradabraham.com/ or at Zartanhater@Zartansucks.com Kevin Reitzel Codename: Radier Nerd - Twitter @spartan_phoenix and https://fpnet.podbean.com/ Jonathon Schafer-Hames - https://www.facebook.com/MWCPodcast/ And finally from our Canadian base: Darren Kohler First up, I ask Darren, the same thing I ask everyone else, to give us his G.I. Joe origin story. Then after that, we look at the first issue of a great arc... it's issue 26 of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero... The first part of the Snake-Eyes origin! Afterwards, at thirty nine minutes in, we continue to include The Real American Hero of the issue. As a reminder, in this segment, me and each of my guests will pick the Joe or Cobra that we think did the best job, this issue. Then at the one hour mark, we look at the thirteenth episode of the G.I. Joe cartoon, Twenty Questions , which was originally released, October 2nd, 1985. Also it was written by friend of the show, Buzz Dixon! Then at 1 hour and 36 minutes, we have Postbox: The Pit! followed by The Solider of the Month at one hour and 46 minutes. Afterwards I play another PSA, the end credits and end with outtakes (thanks Jarrod). Write in to gijoe@headspeaks.com and we'll read your letter on the air! You have received a transmission from The Rod Pod.  Jon and Maggie are trapped on a spacecraft shaped like Rodimus's head, hurtling through space with only the IDW Transformers Phase 2 comics to keep them company. So they are sending their thoughts about these stories through subspace, hoping that someone will hear and send help.  Or at the very least be entertained.   In this transmission, Jon and Maggie give their thoughts on Transformers:Robots in Disguise #4 "Divisive" Prowl investigates a murder and uncovers a Decepticon plot.  What moral compromises will Prowl make while dealing with the threats?  Will prowl go too far this time?  Will Jon be able to talk about this one without spoiling the hell out of the rest of the series?      Over in Transformers:More Than Meets the Eye #3 "After The Big Bank" Ratchet and drift engage in a creationism vs intelligent design debate on their way to ta medical outpost Delphi, which a cryptic message from the future had specifically warned them to avoid.  I bet they wish they'd heard it, because Pipes is about learn first hand, that this place is infected by a robot zombie virus which causes ones innards to liquify and leak through one's eyes.  Again, this is the comic that is supposed to be funny on purpose. Along with Intrigue! The Touch and Less Than Meets the Eye    Featuring songs from the unofficial soundtrack for Transformers:MTMTE, compiled by James Roberts.   "The Next Life" by Suede https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbPZB-NWwjg   "Smokers Outside the Hospital Doors" by Editors https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ub81XBbvURs   "Across the Universe" by Fiona Apple https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhMEKiIb86I   Questions, comments, concerns, kudos, and complaints can be sent to marriedwcomics@gmail.comFind us on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/MWCPodcast and on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/MWC_Podcast

On Cybertron, Intrigue! mixes with cosmic threats as Starscream and Wheeljack join forces to stop the destruction of their planet. While in Transformers:More Than Meets the Eye #3 "Liars A to D Part 3" The Lost Light Crew must stop a robotic horror right out of their own nightmares before it brutally kills the entire crew. Join us on Married With Comics as a lovable pair of newlyweds (at least we think so) talk about all things comics and have a great time and many laughs along the way!   We complete our coverage of a comic Jon and Maggie bought on their honeymoon, Superman Vs The Amazing Spider Man!   Join us as the "Vs" part gets full coverage.  There is a fight, and there is a winner, but it doesn't go the way you'd probably think.     Send your feedback to marriedwcomics@gmail.com     or leave a comment on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MWCPodcast/

Welcome to the pilot episode of Married With Comics, a loveable (at least we think so) husband and wife team paraphrasing panels, explaining exposition, and commenting on all their favorite comics!  Both our marriage and this podcast are incredibly new, so beat the rush and take a listen so you can tell all your friends that you were our fans before we were cool. (We imagine that there will be a time when we will be cool.  We have a good feeling about these things.)   Join Maggie and Jon as they read and review a comic they bought on their honeymoon, which Jon had read when he was 4 years old and Maggie had never seen before this, Superman Vs the Amazing Spider-man.  Jon demonstrates a staggering inability to pronounce creators' last names properly and Maggie is incapable of hiding her dislike of Jimmy Olsen, but a good time is had by all. (Well, them at least, but they think you'll get a kick out of them)  Thanks so much for listening!   You can find us on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/MWCPodcast/
