After forty prosecution witnesses and 107,000 text messages, Caleb Flynn's defense attorneys gave the jury one sentence: “A man can fail as a husband without being a murderer.” Then they rested. 22:12 Is not God in the height of heaven? God dwells in heaven in I Kings 8:30, 39, 43, 49; Psalm 2:4; 11:4; 33:13; 103:19; 113:5.Look also at the distant stars, how high they are!- God is so exalted that He is far above the most remote and massive star. The emphasis is on the greatness of God and the majesty of His dwelling place. In Ps. 113:5-6 God even lowers himself to look upon the affairs of men. God's exalted nature is a call for reverence for Him (Isa. 40:22, 26; 57:15). Jer. 23:23-24 says God is both near and not far off. He is above and beyond us and He fills heaven and earth. God is more distant than the farthest star or remotest planet and yet He is nearer than the air we breathe (Acts 17:27).22:22 Please receive instruction from His mouth- Instruction is the word torah. Torah often indicates God's revelation through Moses. This is the only time this word appears in Job. What does the Torah consist of here? It is used to describe wisdom teaching (Prov. 1:8; 3:1; 4:2; 6:20, 23; 7:2; 13:14) and wisdom, knowledge, and understanding come from His mouth (Prov. 2:6). In Proverbs the verb receive, lakah, often describes one's response to wisdom teaching (1:3; 2:1; 4:10; 8:10; 10:8; 13:10; 21:11; 24:32). 22:24 And place your gold in the dust- He accuses Job of putting trust in material possessions (Ps. 119:36; Prov. 11:4). Wisdom is more valuable than silver and gold (Ps. 119:72, 127; Prov. 3:14-15; 8:10-11, 19; 16:16). Job disavows any sin in this matter of trusting in wealth in 31:24-25. And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks,- Ophir was apparently the most valuable gold (Job 28:16; I Kings 9:28; 10:11; 22:48; I Chron. 29:4; II Chron. 9:10; Ps. 45:9; Isa. 13:12). We have not been able to identify where Ophir was with certainty. Eliphaz is telling Job to put back his riches where he obtained them. Doing these renounces any claim upon him that gold has and will involve giving up all the sins that Eliphaz has accused him of in 22:6-9.There are a couple of significant wordplays in this verse. The word translated gold is the word beser. The word translated among the stones in the next line is besur. The word dust, aphar, sounds like the word for Ophir, which is transliterated from Hebrew.  22:25 Then the Almighty will be your gold- God is a blessing more precious than gold (Ps. 73:25-26). Rid yourself of all treasure and make God your treasure (Matt. 19:21). Was Job content to let God be His treasure? (1:9-11). It is interesting that it is Eliphaz who utters this line. Eliphaz' statement reflects the meaning of his name; My God is gold. And choice silver to you- While great wealth brings great security (at least imagined; Prov. 18:10-11) and can bring honor, God has more to give to give Job than that (II Chron. 25:8-10). 22:26 For then you will delight in the Almighty- The verb delight, anog, is also used in Ps. 37:4 and Isa. 58:14 for delighting in the LORD (Ps. 1:2; 112:1; Isa. 61:10). Eliphaz is pointing to a transformation of Job's desires.And lift your face to God- 10:15-16; 11:15. The sins of Ezra and his people made him embarrassed to lift up his face to God in Ezra 9:6. If Job delights in the Almighty, he will once again be able to lift up his face to Him. Lifting up one's face indicates victory in battle (Judges 8:28; Ps. 27:5-6) or acceptance by a superior (Esther 2:9, 17; Jer. 52:31). It means to be able to look at one with a clean conscience (II Sam. 2:22).

Watch the Devotion Based on Ezekiel 18:30-32 About Face There he was, a grown man sitting in my office, and he was sobbing. He was a veteran of our nation's military and was successful with his career. He was now serving as a civilian and was doing well there, too, but that day, he sat in my office sobbing. He said, “Pastor Horn, I am embarrassed. I’m ashamed to even be sitting here talking to you, but I don’t know who else to talk to because I’m just stuck. I have sinned and I don’t know what to do, but I know something needs to change.”  It was his computer and the Internet and pornography. . . and he realized how much it consumed his time, how it turned him into a liar and someone who would sneak away and hide so he could watch. It was affecting his marriage with his wife and his relationship with his children and the way that he interacted with his coworkers and his neighbors. He knew something needed to change. What was he to do?  The LORD said through his prophet Ezekiel:   Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD (Ezekiel 18:30-32).   This man did what the Lord has called us to do, to repent. The way the Bible describes repentance is like receiving an order for an “about face,” to completely turn around. Repentance is recognizing sin for what it is—an offense against God—and to be sincerely sorry for that offensive thing and to turn away from it. If you do an “about face” away from sin, you need to turn toward something else.  I helped this man who sat in my office sobbing to do an “about face” from his sin and guilt to Christ, and helped him see Christ's cross, and said to him, “My brother, your sin is forgiven for Christ has put it to death. And look! See in the waters of your baptism that Jesus has drowned that sin. He has washed you. He has cleansed you. And look here! I have bread and wine through which Christ makes his body and blood truly present for the forgiveness of your sins!” And right there we celebrated the Lord’s supper together. We laughed and we cried and did this “about face” together.   If you’re going to do this “about face,” then it also means living with the new heart and the new life Jesus has created in you. So, we put a plan together for that new life. We set boundaries. We found resources to help him and people he could call so that when he struggled and fought against the lie of pornography, he had a solid foundation to help him walk the way that God would have a man and a husband and a father and a coworker and a friend to walk.   What is it for you? What thing have you done that you are embarrassed or ashamed to talk about? My friend, repent so that you might not die but live. Talk to a chaplain, a pastor, a friend, and confess your sin and then be ashamed no more. Do that “about face” and turn to Christ and his cross and see, my friend, that you are forgiven! No matter what it is that you have done, go to the waters of your baptism and see there that your sin has been drowned. See that Christ has created in you a new heart and given you a new life!   So go now and do that “about face” and walk in the life that is truly life, life in Christ.   Prayer: Heavenly Father, you call us to turn away from our sinful ways and live. Give us the courage to make an “about face” when we have wandered from you. Turn our hearts away from pride, bitterness, lust, greed, and selfishness, and turn them toward you. For our military members, give strength to those facing difficult missions, lonely nights, and demanding orders. Remind us that true life is found not in ourselves, but in you. Create in us repentant hearts and help us to rest in the forgiveness won at the cross. Then, may we walk with new hearts in the new life you give to us. Amen. Written and recorded by Rev. Service accounts are one of the easiest paths to domain admin on an internalpen test, and one of the most neglected accounts in Active Directory.In this episode, Spencer and Tyler break down why service accounts keepfalling: Kerberoasting every service account (not just the privileged ones),cracking the hashes offline, and spraying what cracks across the environment.Tyler shares a recent engagement where a non-administrative service accountshared its password with a domain admin. Same password, one "SVC_" prefixapart. That spray handed over the domain. He's also seen the built-in RID 500administrator account used as a service account on three separate engagementsthis year.They also get into where these credentials actually live: web.config files onopen file shares, plaintext password files (present on roughly 90% of theirpen tests), and one .eml attachment with the credentials sitting inside ascreenshot.Then the fix list, in the order they'd actually do it:- Inventory the accounts and document where each one is used, before you touch a password- Delete the service accounts that don't need to exist- Strip privileges and restrict interactive logon rights- Get a password vault or PAM solution, and make every password long and unique- Alert on service accounts logging on interactively- Move to group managed service accounts (gMSA) where you can- Enforce 20-25 character minimums in the meantime. I was recently in that place, recovering from a stomach virus that completely drained my energy, and it got me thinking about what it really means to rebuild not just physically, but in all areas of life. As I started to feel better, I couldn't help but notice how the body naturally adapts, creating strength and protection behind the scenes. It made me realize that we have that same ability in our emotional and energetic lives, too. We've all been through hard things before, and somewhere along the way, we've built the resilience to move through them again. This episode is about recognizing that process and learning how to trust that as you rebuild, you can come back even stronger. On today's Wise Walk, we slow down and explore what resilience really looks like in our own lives and how we recognize those low moments. Also, how we support ourselves through them and draw on our own history to remind ourselves that this too shall pass. When you hit those low points, where you feel depleted or stuck, what memories can you tap into that remind you you've been resilient before and that this too will pass? As you reflect on an area of your life that needs attention right now, can you recognize what's really going on and begin to reframe it into a growth moment instead of a setback? As you move through this experience, are you allowing yourself to reach out for support or permit yourself to take things off your plate? What can you let go of right now that isn't serving you so you can feel lighter and begin to rebuild from a stronger place? Where can you acknowledge the strength and skills you're gaining through this experience and remind yourself that you're stronger than this moment? How do you remind yourself that this is temporary and that you've made it through hard things before? What does resilience look like for you right now, not in theory, but in how you're actually showing up each day? Are you giving yourself enough self-compassion as you move through this, or are you expecting too much from yourself? Where might you be holding on to something that's keeping you stuck instead of allowing yourself to move forward? Who in your life truly understands what you're going through, and are you leaning into that support? What would it look like to trust that you are already rebuilding, even if it doesn't feel like it yet? How can you ground yourself in this moment so you feel a little steadier as you move through it? What is one small step you can take today that supports your healing or your progress? As we evolve, we begin to embrace this mindset of adaptive resilience. Whatever you're going through right now, know that you have it within you. You can recognize it, reframe it, reach out for help, rid yourself of what isn't serving you, and rebuild. They have this high-functioning ability to adapt, even though we don't always know how to support it. [04:10] As we fight an illness, our bodies adapt. They create antibodies that clear infections and store memory cells to fight future infections and attacks. [05:04] Our bodies are constantly learning, growing, and adapting to our environment. Our memory cells are on autopilot, constantly supporting us in the background. [06:55] We also rebuild on an emotional level. Our emotions and energy have a natural growth mindset. I came up with five elements that will help us restore and overcome physically and emotionally.  [09:12] I'm looking forward to establishing a home base and creating nesting roots. [10:06] 1. We have to recognize when we are in that moment of not feeling our best. What are the threats? How can we reframe this? What am I supposed to learn?  [11:01] 3. Reach out and ask for help. You don't have to do it alone. [12:22] 4. Rid yourself of anything that is not supporting you.  [13:25] 5. Rebuild and become stronger than before.  [14:05] If I get sick again, my memory cells will be able to recognize, reframe, reach out, rid, and rebuild.  [15:13] One thing that has helped me when feeling ungrounded while searching for our home is to reach out to people who can support me.  [17:09] I also know that I need to rid myself of influences that will make me feel worse about my situation. [18:06] This experience will help me rebuild in a stronger framework. [20:22] On an emotional and energetic level, where can we apply these five elements so that we can move through periods of transition and being stuck?  [21:57] On a positive note, I'm feeling much better. The New Year is just around the corner along with the tradition of making resolutions, which are usually promises to do something "more, better, or different." Most of us start the New Year with the greatest of intentions, yet by March (or even by the second week in January) we may not find ourselves so resolved. We revert back to old patterns and beat ourselves up for not sticking to our resolutions. Could there be a way to ring in 2026 that serves us better? YES! And it has been my New Year ritual for the past fifteen years. Many of you have joined me in this ritual, which is a co-creative process of reflection and intention setting over the years. The night of December 31st will come and go (and no one will remember what you wore) so instead of just trying to plan an epic evening, set your sights on co-creating an epic year!! I invite you to follow this step-by-step process and amend it any way that inspires you: PART ONE: Completing 2025 On December 31st (or around that time) carve out at least an hour of uninterrupted time for yourself. Create the mood – get comfy, quiet, light a candle, put on some music. Begin by writing in a journal your "Year in Review." Month by month recall events that happened, people you met, places you visited, lessons you learned, accomplishments, blessings, struggles, funny moments and so on. What is so great about looking at the year in this way is that you are able to notice how you have grown and express gratitude for all your learnings. After you have gone through the year, consider the behaviors, beliefs or habits that you'd like to leave behind. We all have our regrets, bad habits, and learning experiences; yet, a lot of us tend to cling to them much longer than we need to. On a separate sheet of paper, write down what you would like to leave behind in 2025. For example: being obsessed with an ex, bad eating habits, going to bed too late, limiting beliefs, repetitive/disruptive thoughts, overuse of social media, consistent self-scrutiny, road rage and so on. When you complete this list, burn it or rip it up into tiny pieces to really let it go! If you so choose, share your year in review with someone close to you. See what they recall, reminisce, and share a couple laughs. (Optional) Make a toast to the end of the year. Say a prayer of gratitude for 2025, declare you are letting it go, and toast to releasing anything that no longer serves you. PART TWO: Co-Creating 2026 Begin to co-create/manifest 2026. Light a new candle, set the mood. Meditate for at least five minutes using the guided meditation included in this episode. Meditation is important to do before you begin to manifest so you create and visualize from the authentic self rather than the ego. After your meditation is complete and you are tuned into your most authentic channel, you are ready to start visioning your 2026! Begin by getting a blank sheet of unlined paper. Write at the top: "This or something better for the highest good of all concerned. And so it is." Without thinking or analyzing, write down anything and everything that comes to mind that you would like to co-create/manifest in 2026. Be specific, be creative and think big; however, your list should be at least 70 percent possible and believable. Write until your brain is empty – don't worry about being greedy! The Universe loves to be generous!!! Important: write everything in present tense using "I am" and use verbs to enthusiastically and specifically express what you want. For instance, "I am joyfully and easily securing a new job that is professionally fulfilling and offers me the opportunity to do what I love." Include how you will FEEL - this is crucial because we're actually chasing the feeling, not just the goal. Choose a place to display your list where you can see it regularly and treat it as something sacred. Better yet, record yourself reading your list aloud with feeling and emotion - your own voice is hypnotic. Listen to this recording daily, multiple times a day if possible. Create a playlist of 3-5 songs (at least 20 minutes) that make you feel enlivened, connected to your purpose, and energized for the future. Choose forward-thinking songs that uplift you, not songs that make you nostalgic or sad. Listen to this playlist frequently - ideally while taking a walk and listening to your recorded manifestation audio. Frequently throughout the year, review your list (every day is ideal). Read what you wrote aloud and feel free to add to it. January 1st is not the only day of the year in which you can call in what you want! Believe in the possibility of your manifestation power. Observe with gratitude as things in your life begin to manifest. Celebrate AND do not beat yourself up or get discouraged over what is not happening. Focusing more on what is abundant in our lives ALREADY is the best way to generate more abundance. Remember that sometimes our timeline and the Universe's timeline may be different. Resolve to live your life in alignment with what you truly want to manifest. Rid yourself of any emotional, mental, physical, or interpersonal clutter so that you can get out of your own way. Co-creating and manifestation takes action as well as thought and belief, so resolve this year to take steps to truly LIVE your best life. Love, Christine

Would they win by arguing? Never, a small-town leader warned residents in Adirondack Park where a pitched battle between environmentalists and small-business owners ignited the “Adirondack Wars.” The name described their fight whether to save the area’s pristine wilderness in upstate New York or develop it. “Go back wherever you came from!” a local leader had shouted at an environmentalist. But soon a new message emerged. “Don’t yell at each other. Try to talk to each other.” A Common Ground Alliance was formed to build bridges between warring factions. Civic dialogue led to progress—with nearly a million acres of wild land protected even as Adirondack towns grew more prosperous than they’d been in twenty years. Peaceful coexistence is a start, but Paul taught something even better. To the new believers in Colosse, he said, “Rid yourselves of . . . anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips” (Colossians 3:8). Paul urged them to exchange their old ways for a new nature in Christ. “Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience,” he wrote (v. 12). The invitation is offered today to all believers: surrender our old cantankerous lives to new life in Christ. “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace” (v. 15). Then, in our peace, the world will see Jesus.
