Have you ever been at a party or a gathering and a spouse or friend whispered to you, “It’s time to go”? Or maybe you just knew it was time to go. You may have worn out your welcome. Or you may see things moving sideways and know there might be trouble. Or how about when others are at your occasion and you just wish they would go? It is time to go, just seems like it should be something that is understood. But sometimes we all have to be reminded. God had to tell that to Moses. Near the end of the life of Moses, in the Book of Deuteronomy, Moses is right beside the promised land and he is reminding all of the people of Israel what God told them when they lingered a year at Mt. Sinai, (where they received the 10 Commandments). God told them they had been there long enough. It was time to break camp and go to what he promised them. The Promised Land. This had so much application for our lives and we examine how to apply it to our lives.

All through the Bible you'll find mountains. There are mountain peaks in our lives as well. God uses those moments of exhilaration in our lives as we get to know Him in a great way. We pray for the mountains ahead of us still. You can find out more about Lakeland Baptist Church through our church website at www.lakelandbaptist.ca.
