Looking at 3-year, 5-year, and all-time averages side by side — and watching whether a unit's score is trending up or down — tells you far more than last year's numbers alone. In Montana, buying a bonus point can hurt you. Mark's tool surfaced something almost nobody talks about: hunters with zero points had roughly a 53% draw chance in some units, while hunters with a single fractional point dropped to 0%, because a set percentage of tags are reserved specifically for zero-point applicants. Understanding your state's fractional point system can change your entire application strategy. "Go high" isn't a universal rule — moisture matters more. The common advice to push to the highest elevation in September doesn't always hold. In dry years, the grass at the top dies off first, and cows follow the moisture downhill toward better feed. Tracking soil moisture data for a basin can tell you more about where elk will actually be than elevation alone.

Kencan Dengan Tuhan - Sabtu, 4 Juli 2026Bacaan: "Maka ia memungut di ladang sampai petang lalu ia mengirik yang dipungutnya itu, dan ada kira-kira seefa jelai banyaknya." (Rut 2:17)Renungan: Pada saat dihadapkan dengan ujian hidup yang berat maka ada beberapa respons yang muncul dalam hidup kita. Pertama, kita mengasihani diri secara berlebihan. Kita selalu bertanya kepada Tuhan, "Mengapa harus saya yang mengalami peristiwa pahit ini?" Kedua, kita mencari belas kasihan manusia untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang sedang kita hadapi. Ketiga, kita berani menghadapi setiap masalah dengan tekad hati yang kuat, seberat apapun masalah itu. Salah seorang motivator di Indonesia mengambil ilustrasi tentang betapa dahsyat kekuatan tetesan air jika dilakukan secara terus menerus. Tetesan air bahkan dapat melubangi batu! Beliau berkata seperti ini, "Kerasnya batu bisa takluk dengan tetesan air. Begitu pula kerasnya ujian hidup di dunia bisa kalah oleh kekuatan tekad dan fokus perjuangan yang dilakukan." Seperti itulah perjuangan Rut menghadapi kerasnya ujian hidup yang datang kepadanya. Suaminya meninggal, keluarga suaminya juga meninggal semua, kecuali mertua perempuannya saja yaitu Naomi. Kini, Rut tinggal bersama Naomi dan mengambil tanggung jawab untuk memeliharanya. Kehidupan yang dijalani mereka persis seperti yang disebutkan Naomi, yaitu Mara yang artinya sangat pahit (Rut 1:20). Itulah kerasnya ujian hidup yang harus dijalani Rut. Namun dengan tekad dan perjuangan keras, Rut berhasil mengatasi masalahnya dan menjadi orang yang sangat berhasil. Perhatikan apa yang dilakukan Rut. la tak pernah mengasihani diri, Rut menjalani masalahnya dengan begitu tabah. Rut juga tidak pernah meminta belas kasihan orang lain, sebaliknya ia berjuang keras untuk menghidupi dirinya dan Naomi, meski harus memungut jelai yang tercecer dari pagi sampai petang. Ketekunan, tekad, dan perjuangan Rut akhirnya membuahkan hasil. Benarlah bahwa batu yang keras bisa takluk dengan tetesan air. Ujian hidup yang keras bisa kalah oleh tekad dan perjuangan yang terus menerus. Jika kita sedang mengalami pergumulan hidup yang keras, ingatlah bahwa batu pun takluk dengan tetesan air. Tuhan Yesus memberkati. Doa:Tuhan Yesus, aku percaya ketika Engkau ada bersama-sama dengan aku, maka badai sehebat apapun dapat aku lalui.
