As the tides of time roll through the sands of life, things shift. Some are gained, some are lost, some inverted, and some elevated to previously unreached heights. This is all to say that this is the conclusion of the second season of the Super Jump Podcast. When we come back, we have new goals of achieving a regular weekly schedule, adding at least one regular cohost to the show, and having a more professional sound complete with custom music and effects. BUT, we still have this episode before we go. This week, we talk about Hollow Knight and how it's really, really, really good, the merits of the 3DS, and the reveals coming out of Gamescom. Also, we have an exciting interview with the Kremling Kampaigners. King K. Rool is in Smash Bros. now, and these are the guys to thank. All this and more in this week's episode of the Super Jump Podcast! Would you believe it? We heard you like the Super Jump Podcast, so we put the Super Jump Podcast inside your Super Jump Podcast! That's right, Midjumps will now be inserted into the main episode and we'll return officially (even though we already were there) to a biweekly structure. Episodes will be longer and meatier from now on, and if you don't like it that way... E-mail us at podcast@superjumpmagazine.com! This week, we talk about the ever-approaching generation 9 of consoles. The Playstation 5 and the Xbox Scarlett seem to be very real and increasingly soon. How will that affect the gaming landscape? Also, stay tuned for a discussion about Sea of Thieves' growth with friends of the show Cameron from DK Vine and Jeff from the Golden Sands Blogpost. Man... we uh... we just took a little nap for a couple of weeks. Don't mind us. We may have the least-consistent release schedule of all-time, but we pack a punch where it counts: ... heart? Sure, we have a lot of heart. What we don't have, however, is news. What do we do in times of news drought? Is it healthy for the industry's news circuit to have all of these peaks and valleys? What does it say about the state gaming is in right now? All these questions and more on this week's Super Jump Podcast. We're back with a our first regular episode since E3! It's about... E3! Last one, we promise! In this episode, we talk about what Mitchell saw on the show floor and conclude our thoughts on E3. Who won? What game performed the best in show? Did Mitchell play any ramen-based games at Indiecade? All these questions and more on this week's Super Jump Podcast. This episode is budget-length because we're saving all of our energy for E3. We talk about the first Sea of Thieves expansion, we look at the recent Pokémon news dump, and we answer some fanmail. Also, we outline what's in store for this podcast for the next week. All that and more in this week's Super Jump Podcast. E3 is casting its shadow upon us like a total eclipse of the sun. By the time it finally arrives, we'll be faced with a number of exciting reveals that will distract from other smaller announcements. This seems to be the reason why there is a rush by many studios and publishers to get some of those incidental announcements out now, before they are drowned out. We'll talk about Nintendo's Online program, State of Decay 2, Destiny 2: Warmind, Sea of Thieves: The Hungering Deep, Pokémon Let's Go!, Star Fox: Grand Prix, Rage 2, and more all on this week's episode of the Super Jump Podcast. Mitchell and James check out that good news. Sometimes we don't get to report on good news, but this time, we do...s. We doos? I wanted it to rhyme, but it's obviously too streigned. Anyway, we also talk about God of War, Nintendo Labo, and our E3 predictions on this week's Super Jump Podcast. Mitchell and James consider the new Rampage movie, Sega's new announcements, Sea of Thieves' new content roadmap, and the exciting God of War. Also, we may accidentally bring up Breath of the Wild once or twice, but that's to be expected considering that it's the only game we know how to talk about. Woah, it's been a while since we did a regular one of these, huh? Well wait no more! And speaking of not waiting anymore, Sea of Thieves came out! It... has excellent graphics. In this episode, we talk about expectations and how they form the narrative of a game's launch life, how better or worse. Join us, won't you? Woah, they go there. Join James and Mitchell as they very uncomfortably voice their political opinions on the issue of video games and gun violence... existing at the same time. The 3D-platformer seems to be back, how does it compare with other genres who haven't been absent for nearly as long. Finally, Mitchell explains what a Hot Topic is for folks who don't have them in their countries (spoiler: they're wack). On this week's Super Jump Podcast, Mitchell and James talk about the Sea of Thieves beta (again), Mitchell talks about developing for PCI-8, James finally plays What Remains of Edith Finch, a couple of world record holders are stripped of their titles, and video game menus continue to be important.
