This week our writer Christian Thoma joined the mayhem that is the Blizzard Watch Podcast. Speaking of mayhem and the Blizzard Watch Podcast, you may recall that last week's episode ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, as the hosts discovered that, while they were recording the podcast, Blizzard released 14 blog posts detailing all the announcements that happened at Gamescom. This week, they discussed the highlights of all those posts, which made matters even more confusing as they contradicted some other interviews and information that came out right around the same time.Plus, another week, another new microtransaction most of us hate -- you can get a new cute capybara pet in WoW for spending a mere $75 on the Blizzard Gear Store (on specific items). Also, have you heard of a small indie game called Silksong? If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. This data is collected by our podcast host, Acast, and will be used to help us improve the show as well as attract potential sponsors. Your answers are completely anonymous. We appreciate your help!If you enjoy the show, please support us on Patreon, where you can get these episodes early and ad-free! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ciao.
Scott sits down with Tanner Goodman, who just got back from the EU, and his time at Gamescom in Germany. They talk about everything he saw! Including the standout demos like Crimson Desert (beautiful but overloaded with systems), Silent Hill f (creepy immersive theater), Honor of Kings: World (surprise hit with fun elemental combat and raids), and Valor Mortis (first-person Soulslike with grotesque Napoleonic bosses). Also, reasons why Chronos on Switch 2 disappointed due to poor performance and clunky design. Beyond games, Xbox showed its new handheld, cosplay was everywhere, swag was abundant, and even Netflix, Disney+, and Chiquita Bananas had booths. Give it a listen and huge thanks to Tanner for his time! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

A WoW Podcast, Obviously is back! Today we will catch up on all things WoW and go over the Fireside chat we did with Maria Hamilton and Gabriel Gonzales at Gamescom

After a little delay, we are BACK, and this week on the show we're talking about all of our favorite announcements from Gamescom 2025.
The gang goes over the new and excited games shown at Gamescom 2025.
Gamescom brought big World of Warcraft reveals: the new housing system with public, charter, and guild neighborhoods (50 homes each, customizable biomes, permissions, and community events), plus new solo content like Prey hunts and ongoing Delves. Blizzard is also integrating add-on features directly into the UI (boss timers, nameplates, DPS meters), raising questions for Deadly Boss Mods and others. Bobby is here to help us make sense of it all. Also we have a LOT to say about the No Man's Sky's Voyager update—building Corvettes, exploring derelict ships, taming bizarre pets, farming nanites, managing settlements, and enjoying the endless systems, bugs and all. With Capcom building up the hype nicely for Resident Evil 9 at recent gameshows, we thought it would a good idea to discuss the recently released (albeit limited) demo that was made available at Gamescom 2025. To bring some first hand impressions to the table, REP is delighted to have legendary content creator, writer, voice actor and all round biohazard superfan, Suzi the Sphere Hunter join Neptune, Rombie and Astra (Mr. Spencer) in this bonus podcast! Suzi is able to share the time spent exploring this forsaken hospital, the intricacies of the monster (Lisa?), camera angles, ray tracing and tactics that fans can all look forward to when the game drops next year! (Hopefully the demo soon!) A big thanks for Suzi for taking the time to share with us and we hope you enjoy!
