Hello, listener/friend! Thanks for tuning in to another episode of One on Lund hosted by me, Nathan Lund. This latest installment features my good friend Kevin O'Brien! Ol' Kev was one of the first people I met after moving to Denver in 2008, and he remains one of my closest buds. Kevin hosted one of Denver's best comedy shows, Arguments & Grievances, and he co-hosted a fantastic podcast called "These Things Matter" with Taylor Gonda. Kevin and fellow comedian Mara Wiles moved to New York City in March of 2017 but they left a lasting impression in Denver's hearts. I hope you enjoy listening to me and Ol' Kev as we look back on our time together in the Mile High, living and loving and belting out pop-punk lyrics. Be sure to email me at OneonLund@gmail dot com with feedback, questions, etc and thanks for tuning in! One on Lund is a painfully personal podcast featuring Denver Comedy Champion Nathan Lund. Nathan has performed the glorious art of stand up comedy for 14 years and has finally ventured into the wide world of podcasting. Join him as he shares his opinions on comedy, life, and all things under the sun. Eternal thanks to Sexpot Comedy and producer extraordinaire Wally Wallace. Big huge thanks to Mutiny Information Cafe and to Rachel Weeks for the One on Lund logos.
Today's story comes from one of The Narrators' favorite storytellers, Taylor Gonda. Taylor is a podcast host, DJ, Denver icon and, sadly for all of us in Colorado, a soon-to-be resident of Los Angeles. California, please take care of our good friend. Taylor's story of awkward infatuation was recorded live on 17 May 2017 at Buntport Theater in Denver, Colorado. The theme of the evening was "Fashion Victim." Learn more about your ad choices. Episode 88: So far, 2016 has been rough year for anglophiles. We've lost Lemmy and David Bowie and Alan Rickman already, and it's not even February. The outpouring of grief and nostalgia and admiration over the last few weeks has been overwhelming but still inspiring—it's clear that England still has an immense influence on American culture. When news of David Bowie's death hit social media, this week's storyteller, Taylor Gonda, was the first person who came to mind. People were reaching out to her on Facebook as if Bowie were a biological uncle, and with good reason—time and time again, Taylor has proven her love for all things living in the shadow of the Union Jack. She's a long-time favorite of The Narrators—but you may know her best as co-host of These Things Matter, the greatest pop culture podcast in all the land. Taylor's story was recorded on 17 September 2014 at Buntport Theater in Denver, Colorado. The theme of the evening was "Schooled." Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Episode 29: The theme for our October show, "Two Sides to Every Story", provided an opportunity for a little bit of experimentation. We thought it might be fun to explore the nature of truth in true storytelling by looking at an age old adage, that there are two sides to every story. We invited pairs of storytellers to tell their versions of a shared experience or story. We were hoping to dig into what makes a story a story, what we can learn by looking in between the gaps, etc. We sequestered the storytellers while their counterparts were telling their version, so that what the audience got was free from influence. It was pretty danged cool. Part 1 of the show features true stories from podcaster, producer, and gadabout Taylor Gonda (whose podcast These Things Matter is essential listening for pop culture nerds) and writer Josiah Hesse. These stories were recorded at The Deer Pile on October 17th, 2013 by our good friends at The Denver Diatribe. The intro and outro music was produced and graciously provided by Sans Seruf, and you can find more slick beats for your earholes over at his bandcamp page. Learn more about your ad choices.
