For the Glory KC is back with the 139th episode of the show!Sporting Kansas City went on the road and picked up their first win in the Rocky Mountain State since March of 2014. The Colorado Rapids were caught napping early and despite obscenely high expected goals (xG), couldn't find a way back into the match, losing 2-1.The game had its ups and downs, but even with a few down moments, John Pulskamp shined on the night with numerous saves and the game winning assist. Just one more assist this season will tie the single season record for a goalkeeper in MLS.Outside of that, Sheena and I take a closer look at the Kerry Zavagnin era. Counting points only since he took over, the team would be fifth in the Western Conference and even counting the prior Peter Vermes games the team was in 10th at the time of recording. Is it time to lock KZ up as the permanent coach? We also broke down the standout moments of the game, talked about the new Logan Ndenbe injury, Jacob Bartlett's pending suspension and a whole lot more.In the Sporting KC round-up, we catch up on stories for Jack Kortkamp, Daniel Salloi, SKC II and the immense amount of salary budget that's about to open up at the end of the season. Not to be left out, the KC Current had quite a few things going on this week, including a large list of free agents they need to make decisions on. We also discussed Kansas City vying for a WNBA team, the USWNT's victory over Canada, the Claire Hutton goal and the upcoming media game this weekend. Also, if you want discounted tickets to the Teal Rising Cup games and to support #TeamStorm, click here.In the Digital Crawl, we also touch on a few more topics, including:USMNT Gold Cup successThe passing of Diogo JotaHere is a rundown of topics and start times:Sporting KC Break Their Losing Streak in Colorado - 6:30SKC Round-up - 46:59KC Current Free Agent Decisions - 56:36Digital Crawl - 1:09:34Upcoming GamesUSMNT vs. Mexico (Gold Cup Final) Sunday, July 6th at 6:00PM CDTSporting KC vs. Seattle Sounders - Saturday, July 12th at 7:30PMKC Current vs. Palmeiras - Saturday, July 12th at 8:00PMSKC II at The Town - Sunday, July 13th at 7:00PMAs a special gift to For the Glory KC listeners and KC Soccer Journal readers, Backheeled dot com is giving away 30 days of their amazing, independent American soccer coverage for free. Welcome back to another episode! This week's episode of Bikinis After Babies is full of updates!! Gillian is back from Denver Colorado after competing in her first IFBB Bikini Pro show, the Mile High Pro, and Mandy has also returned from Colorado where she underwent a very successful egg retrieval procedure! Gillian reflects on her experience at her first pro show and how it differed from prior show experiences as an NPC amateur. She details some of the travel challenges, food prep hacks while away from home, show day details, judge feedback and the emotional toll of competition. Mandy shares the updates in her IVF journey and the challenges she has experienced both physically and mentally! We talk about the vast difference in our lives this year versus last year but how the complexities that exist in both IVF and bodybuilding are challenging and the highs and lows of both are quite comparable- we are so lucky to have each other and our amazingly supportive audience who supports us through all phases of our lives! We also touch on the impact of the pressure and expectation in the sport of bodybuilding and how this can affect both mental health and the backstage dynamic can be intense! While its common to make long lasting connections at shows and a sense of camaraderie exists among athletes, the pressures and expectations that come with competing at higher levels can cause a tense backstage environment. We share some strategies for dealing with this and overall it's important to enjoy competition day- you've worked hard for it…go out there and have FUN!!We hope that you enjoyed this episode, and if so, we would LOVE it if you would rate, subscribe, and leave us reviews on how this podcast has helped you

Anti-Trump protests have been escalating in Denver, especially as the president ratchets up his immigration crackdown. While no Waymos have been torched here in the Mile High, there is a still an open question about violence. Eighteen protesters were arrested last Tuesday after a confrontation with police, and one conservative talk show host was kicked. 710KNUS's Jeff Hunt has been attending protests in Denver all year, and he caught his alleged assault on video. So host Bree Davies spoke with Jeff about the kick, his self-described “gotcha”-style videos,” the question of violence, and why, through it all, he says he still loves Denver. Check out Jeff Hunt's protest videos for yourself! Here's the one from the conservative “March for Life” This one is from the Bernie/AOC rally in March This is the one he referenced featuring protesters warning others not to talk to him And here's the one where he gets kicked For even more news from around the city, subscribe to our morning newsletter Hey Denver at denver.citycast.fm. Ben Lindbergh and Meg Rowley banter about the Rockies being so bad that mostly innocuous stories about them now seem like examples of organizational incompetence, a wild loss by a Rockies affiliate, and why recent terrible teams have been so bad, then (36:56) answer listener emails about catchers framing poorly on purpose, penalizing hitters when […]
It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a bribe! President Trump, just before setting off on a tour of the Gulf states, announces that he plans to accept a $400 million luxury jet from the Qatari royal family — one of the largest and most brazenly corrupt gifts ever received by an American president. House Republicans finally release details of their proposed cuts to Medicaid, but will their plan to cut the health insurance of 9 million Americans find enough support from moderates and hard-liners? And, of course, there's more tariff news, with the administration announcing a 90-day-pause (kind of) in the trade war with China. Jon, Lovett, and Tommy talk about Democrats' response to Trump's shiny new bribe, Stephen Miller's recent attacks on habeas corpus, and why the president's new drug pricing executive order isn't a serious solution to lower the cost of prescription drugs. Then, Tommy sits down with his doppelgänger, Rob Sand, to talk about Sand's campaign for Iowa governor. For a closed-captioned version of this episode, click here.
