Geoff Tice! Comedian! Podcaster! Actor! Artist! Delight! Geoff has a new standup comedy album out called Jokes with a G, and here is some information about it straight from the Geoff's mouth: “It's a lighthearted and silly look at the world through the eyes of someone who doesn't take themselves – or anything really – too seriously.” He said. Jokes with a G is a collection of self-deprecating stories about being a new parent, second weddings, and his dad's drunk late-night calls. The album was recorded at The Comedy Fort in Fort Collins (a wondeful club, I'll add from my own [Myq Kaplan's] mouth)! And here's some more information about Geoff: Geoff Tice is a Denver-based comedian, writer, podcaster, actor, and artist. Geoff got into comedy while working full-time in graphic design 12 years ago. He went to an open mic and bombed but he never looked back. He has since become a staple of the Denver scene. He is a regular at the world-famous Comedy Works and has toured his energetic stand-up comedy across the country. Geoff hosted Comedy Central's South Park 25th Anniversary Tailgate two-day event at Red Rocks and performed at SF Sketchfest, High Plains Comedy Festival, Red Clay and Limestone, and other festivals. Geoff has also contributed to The Nosebleed's on UFC Fight Pass and appeared on Adult Swim. We have a wonderful chat and YOU can have a wonderful listen! Also, this is only the FIRST HALF OF OUR CHAT. For the second half, subscribe via Apple Podcasts OR just click on over here to Patreon! Thanks and love, all!

DARRELL HAMMOND IS AT COMEDY WORKS THIS WEEKEND And we've got the legend from when SNL was funny at 12:30 to discuss. Buy your tickets to his show at Comedy Works South here.
Even with record low voter turnout, President Biden and former President Trump easily cruised to victory in Colorado's presidential primaries on Tuesday. But will “noncommitted” voters, RFK Jr., and Nikki Haley's popularity in Denver signal trouble for the parties this November? Then, stoner comedian Nick Swardson bombed his set in Beaver Creek, blaming edibles, alcohol, and altitude — but he's still headlining three nights at Comedy Works in Denver this weekend! Host Bree Davies and producer Paul Karolyi are joined by politics and green chile correspondent Justine Sandoval to dig into these stories, plus Russell Wilson's goodbye, local media layoffs, and more rocky mountain highs and lows of the week. Bree mentioned the forgotten Beau Monde Mall and photos that surfaced on Reddit. Paul talked about Ben Markus's report on CPR's layoffs and RFK Jr.'s relative strength in Colorado. Justine talked about two anti-abortion bills that both died in committee in the Colorado house this week. What do you think? What does it take to be a true Denverite? There's gotta be a turning point sometime after you first see Blucifer but before you get in your first fight about green chile. What was that moment for you? Host Bree Davies sits down with a couple of keen observers of Mile High culture — Lee Robinson and Kate McLachlan of Dyketopia — to help finish this sentence: You're not a Denverite until… Kate is hosting a night of “hootin' and hollerin'” at Comedy Works downtown with a bunch of funny folks on Feb. 21. Catch Kate and Lee at “Dyketopia: Spring Awakening” live at the Oriental Theater on March 8! UPDATE: After we recorded, we learned that Snooze takes reservations now, but only on weekdays. You can also join their waitlist online, though you'd miss out on some sweet, sweet brunch anticipation time! When did you first feel like a Denverite? We want to hear stories about your first times with local faves or traditions! STEVE RANNAZZISI EATS CHICKEN OUT OF A BAG And then does comedy about it. He's been in a bunch of movies and shows, not the least of which are FX's The League and Paul Bart: Mall Cop. He's also performing at Comedy Works this weekend and he joins me at 1 to chat about all things comedy and more. Buy tickets here, but the early Saturday night show is already sold out so do it today. He is NOT Dry Bar Comedy approved (this is my new warning label to let you know he curses and whatnot) but extremely funny.
Recorded 11.14.22 at Comedy Works in Denver, CO On this week's Summer Break ‘sode, the guys were live in the Mile High City to chat about the world-ending teen comedy, WarGames! And was John Lennon ever actually considered for the role of Professor Falken? PLUS: A lengthy discussion about Matthew Broderick's nipples. WarGames stars Matthew Broderick, Ally Sheedy, Dabney Coleman, Barry Corbin, James Tolkan, John Spencer, Michael Madsen, and John Wood as Professor Falken; directed by John Badham.Want more WHM?
