Kevin O'Leary is not just a rich Canadian businessman — he's a phenomenon. He's a media phenomenon both here in Canada and in the US. And he's known for one thing: being an asshole. But is he really an asshole? Is it just a schtick? A character? A clown that he plays on TV to entertain us all? Or is it all sincere? Does he mean all of the stuff he says? And if he does mean it, why should we believe anything he says? Is he actually an expert? In life, in business, in politics? We tracked down the people who worked with him as his legend was being spun, including the guy that "discovered" him.Further Reading:Kiddies' Togs Manufacturing Company Ltd. — McCord MuseumLearning from Mattel — Tuck School of Business at DartmouthMATTEL – How the Giant Toy Maker Fell So Far So Fast — L.A. Several Utahns have now filed a defamation lawsuit against Kevin O'Leary -- the man behind the Stratos Data Center in Box Elder County -- and Fox News. O'Leary had called out several Utahns and groups back in May, saying their opposition to the data center was being funded by the Chinese Communist Party. Those groups are now suing in federal court, saying the comments damaged both their reputation and their businesses. The suit comes even though O'Leary and Fox News both issued statements a few weeks ago retracting their comments. But like they say... once the cat's out of the bag, it's impossible to put it back in.

KOC's Coach-Speak, Vikings QB Competition, Run-Game Emphasis, and New CTE Findings — Dave Stefano hosts Two Old Bloggers solo while Darren Campbell is out. He breaks down Kevin O'Connell's appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, highlighting classic “coach-speak” about an “open competition,” elevating the quarterback room, ball security, explosives, and improving the run game. Dave discusses key personnel including Aaron Jones, Jordan Mason, rookie Demond Claiborne, fullback Max Bredeson, and new staff influences like run-game coordinator Frank Smith and OL coach Keith Carter. He compares Kyler Murray's proven dual-threat production with J.J. McCarthy's rough 2025 stats but strong leadership intangibles, noting Carson Wentz as the veteran mentor. The episode also covers a major Boston University CTE study (1960–2019) showing elevated neurodegenerative death rates among NFL players, potential helmet improvements, practice/contact limits, and rule changes. Additional segments review The Athletic's NFL age-peak analysis, Vikings legends' all-time Approximate Value (AV) records (Paul Krause, Carl Eller, Alan Page, Randall McDaniel), James Pierre as a breakout candidate, and Blake Cashman's contract extension outlook. Florida baseball coach Kevin O'Sullivan has not taken the Regional loss to Troy well. And that's bad news for the rest of college baseball-- because his response has begun by not only taking Rich Dorman from Oregon State and Todd Butler from Oklahoma, but now he's taking players away from those schools as well. Most recently, Sully has nabbed Braylen Montgomery, Liam Dougherty, Caden Davidson, Eddie Marshall, Drew Dickerson... oh and by the way, has kept Ethan Surowiec in town for another year. Today, the Gator Diamond Pod crew breaks it all down.
Tuam Stars successfully retained their 3Dental Division 1 Football League crown following a 2-12 to 1-14 victory after extra-time against Corofin in Tuam Stadium on Friday (3rd July 2026). Brian Mannion's goal just before the change of ends in extra-time secured a lead they never relinquished despite Killian Joyce pulling back a Corofin goal with the final attack. A two-part series | “Mr. Wonderful” built an empire on bluntness and being the reality TV villain we love to hate. So when his speedboat collided with another boat on Muskoka's "Billionaire's Row" - leaving two people dead, the public was ready to assume the worst of him.Early reporting - and Kevin O'Leary's own response to the tragedy - sparked suspicion that he'd “thrown his wife under the hull”, and was using his wealth and influence to control the narrative. In this series, we go back to the summer of 2019 to trace the chain of events that ended in tragedy on Lake Joseph, examine all the evidence, and explore why conspiracy theories continue to thrive long after the case was legally closed.---------------------------------------------------------IMPORTANT:– If you know anyone related to this case, please respect their privacy.– This series does not frame this incident as a "crime" - the charges ultimately fell under the Canada Shipping Act.– This series has been pieced together from the public record, including court documents, online news sources and daily trial reporting.– Our intention is to look beyond the headlines, rumours and conspiracy theories surrounding a highly publicized boating tragedy, and carefully examine the evidence to better understand what happened. – Kristi Lee is not a lawyer, but a member of the general public reviewing this case through the lens of the open court principle.---------------------------------------------------------Part 2 will be available to all in a week.
