For the last few months the Zone 1 Radio team have been working on a project called “Love Your Place”, which is an initiative designed to harness the power of community radio, community spaces and cutting edge technology to tackle issues of social, digital and economic exclusion. The idea is to use the UK’s community radio sector to bring people into physical spaces where they can learn digital skills, engage in volunteering opportunities in their local area and even gain skills and experience that will help them into apprenticeships and sustainable employment. IBM power the technology platform that supports Love Your Place and they very kindly sponsored the event at City Hall.
