The countdown to Christmas is on at Alice HQ!It's the last few days before the staff at Alice have a bit of a break for Christmas, but before that can happen there are thousands of toys to deliver to families in Stoke on Trent and Newcastle who wouldn't normally get a present at Christmas. But before all that Deb and Helen have a rant about Mince Pies, tomatoes being a fruit, Christmas Eve boxes and other traditions. Well it's not Christmas without a bit of a discussion is it?To find out more about Alice Charity check out their website and facebook page Theme Music: Pink PantherWritten ByBenjamin Caleb JohnsonPerformed ByBRASKOProduced ByBRASKO See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Welcome to Alice Cares.Christmas is still top of the agenda for the team at Alice. This week Helen and Deb are discussing how challenging it is to buy gifts for teenagers. And in particular teenage boys. Some of the teenagers in the families supported by Alice are carers and quite often treated as adults when they really are still children, so it's important they get looked after at Christmas.Last year the charity provided more than 5000 presents for children across Stoke on Trent and Newcastle. The issue of children feeling guilty because their parents are not getting any presents was also discussed. If you want to help the team with suggestions of presents get in touch with Emily on christmas@alicecharity.comTo find out more about Alice Charity check out their website and facebook page Theme Music: Pink PantherWritten ByBenjamin Caleb JohnsonPerformed ByBRASKOProduced ByBRASKO See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
